   We live out of town and a local business suggested this spot when I asked for something special and not a chain. It was a late evening dinner by the time we arrived, so I booked the bar area. Our server was professional, explained everything we needed to know and super attentive. It was my husband’s birthday and they had a birthday card waiting and offering a free desert (amazing carrot cake with a Birthday candle) We both got different steaks. Done medium rare to perfection . We opted for the unique sides. We can get a baked potato anywhere. The creamed corn and bacon were incredible. The au gratin poblanos, yummy. 10/10!! We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Kudos to you all.

   Enjoyed salad, seafood, sides and desserts - all highest quality ingredients, preparation and presentation. They made our anniversary special with a festive place setting and free dessert.

   We had not been to J. Gilbert's in a while but wanted to try it again. From the moment we were greeted at the hostess stand to the time we left, we were extremely impressed. This just gives off an aura of being a really well run restaurant. The service and food was excellent and we can't wait to go back.

   The experience was great as we celebrated my birthday with a couple friends. JT, our waiter , was great and was very attentive to our table and enhanced our time tremendously. The food was excellent including the best onion rings ever. Overall, it was great.

    We sat at the bar and John was great. We tried the prime rib egg rolls. They were not good. The shrimp and grits were sooo good! My husband had the sea bass , which he loved . The menu has completely changed and it’s not good . We won’t be back . The music was loud . I like Frank Sinatra but not every other song . Bring back the old JGilberts !
