Our booth was very small for four people & we are average size. Food was good except for cold baked potato. Service not what we have had before when at your restaurant. Cheese on salad after telling waitress lactose intolerant, no steak knives, bill was wrong & had to be corrected

We arrived at 7:15 pm as per our reservation. My wife ordered a bone in rib eye and was told they were out of rib eyes. She then ordered a beef filet medium and I ordered salmon. Her beef filet arrived almost well done and she refused to send it back. Both my sides of mashed potatoes and green beans were cold and I did send those back. So, i would be very reluctant to come back. Too many things went wrong especially for my wife in a steak restaurant.

Absolutely one of the best meals that I have had in quite some time! The filets were cooked to perfection...and all sides were perfect!! I cant even describe how good the 7 layer coconut cake was....would take two pages for that alone! Our server (Christina) was absolutely passionate about making sure that everything was above expectations. Her friendly attitude and vast knowledge of everything on the menu added yet another star to an experience that was already at the top of the game! KUDOS to her...she is a superstar in customer service!!

We ultimately had a nice booth, but were initially taken to a table in the "secondary" (my term) seating area, which has virtually no ambiance. I was surprised - after making a reservation - to be taken there. Glad I asked for a booth in the other area instead. It was a MUCH nicer experience.

I have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years and have traveled extensively. Our server, Angel, made our dining experience amazing! She might be one of the best ever! Not to mention, the food was delicious and the overall experience was delightful. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Loved the options. My Caser salad and apple croustade were excellent. Our steaks were prepared as ordered, and I thought the combo options were fantastic and gave a surf and turf option. Wonderful food and great ambiance!

The food was fantastic. Expect to spend a lot of money. But, going to a place like this, you should expect to pay a lot. The food was worth it. The server staff was kind and attentive. A definite place to go for a treat.

Had a reservation for my wife's birthday on a Saturday evening. They sat us in a small room off the main dining room that was much brighter than the rest of the restaurant. Even though there were only two of us, they sat us at a table for 6. I told my wife that it felt like we were rejects and placed in a room away from the other customers. Server forgot my drink, steaks were not cooked correctly. Just overall a poor experience. Could have saved sixty bucks and had dinner at Applebees. We certainly wont be in a hurry to go back.

J. Gilberts has been my go to STEAK restaurant for the past 15 to 20 years. Sorry, I really do not remember the first time I went to J. Gilberts, however I have not gone anywhere else for a steak dinner since. They also have other entries, which are equally as good, like scallops. Depending on your budget, J. Gilberts may seem a little pricey, but it a great special occasion destination.
