My husband and I celebrated my birthday. I received an email from the restaurant for $25 off our bill for my birthday. Food was fabulous as was the service we received from Kimberly. The wood fired meats are excellent!

The service for my birthday lunch with a friend was exceptional. The food was wonderful - though I miss the Chicken Tortilla Soup on the menu.

I have always had good dining experience at JGs, however last evenings birthday dinner with family was a terrible experience. Long waits on the mail, horrible wait staff: dishes remained on table for 20mins after finish, bread on table until dessert, drinks not refilled - absolutely disorganized for the high price dining experience. Desserts came out wrong and then had to correct charges. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

We have been going to J. Gilbert’s in McLean for almost 20 years now. Simply put, it’s just not as good as it used to be. The steaks are still good but the service was lackluster at best. The menu doesn’t have the same offerings as before - some of which were star items that we would always order. I’m sad to say but not sure if we’ll be coming back after so many years.

We've been dining here for 25 years. We always get superior service and expertly prepared food. Last night Joan continued that tradition of service and the chef and kitchen staff did the same with the food. We highly recommend J. Gilbert's!!!
