My husband and I were greeted for our 8:30pm reservation (for two people) around 8:40pm after asking a waiter to find the host. The host said an empty 4-top would take 10-15 minutes to prepare for us, a process that could have been achieved in 90 seconds. The table was set for 4 people (instead of 2) as we waited 7 minutes for a drink at the bar. We seated ourselves at 9pm because no one came to the bar to tell us that our table was ready. After sitting at our table for 10 minutes we tracked down the host to ask for menus. Our under cooked steak was sent back to the kitchen and was returned still under cooked. All side dishes were left on the table to get cold. A manager did not visit us during the evening.

We come here a lot but not since the bar was added. We sat up front by the windows. It was so cold I had to eat with my coat on. Our waiter was amazing but things were really slow coming out .He did give us dessert on him which was really nice.

Very disappointed in last Saturday's dinner. Never told of specials, but far worse, 8 women indifferent to the tables around them, the noisiest I've ever experienced in a restaurant, spoiled our dinner and that of three couples near us. Couldn't wait to leave!

Service was slow and I had told them it was my sons birthday when I made the reservation and when they called to confirm they mentioned it and then they also mentioned it when we checked in but after that nothing. I assumed it would be addressed during the meal.

Much bigger fan before they got their Louie license. Drinks are on the very small side for the price and wine list is very limited and costly. Steaks are awesome and service has always been fair at best. Owner refuses to hire the right amount of help. Whereas I will continue to eat here, it will be far less often. He had a chance to blow Roots away, but greed took over.

For a steakhouse the best part of the meal was everything but the steaks. 7 people ordered rib eye with varying degrees of doneness. While the flavor of the steak was very good, everyones steak looked the same inside when they came out. They were not tender at all. The other two meals were NY strip and they were also tough. On a positive - the sides we ate were delicious. Onion straws, garlic mashed potatoes, spinach, and brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal. The desserts were also very good. The restaurant is no longer a BYOB which was a little bit of a disappointment. The wine list was definitely pricey.

The steaks were all delicious and cooked to perfection. However, the mushroom soup was barely edible as it tasted and had the consistency of chunks of cornstarch. The Brussel sprouts had an inordinate amount of balsamic vinegar in them making them sour and difficult to eat. My friend ordered the lamb chops which were also doused in balsamic vinegar and she did not enjoy her meal at all. Two at the table ordered the lava cake and said it was delicious. The restaurant has lost some of its appeal now that it is no longer BYOB. I don’t mind paying a lot of money for quality food but i have a difficult time justifying spending $150 on a bottle of $50 wine.

JK Steakhouse was unique in that it was a very good steak house without a liquor license. Now that they have a liquor license, it loses it's appeal because its price point is the same as Root's steakhouse with zero ambience and food not quite as good. I will not go back, wine list is overly expensive and ambience is poor

We had an excellent meal on Friday night before the theater. Steaks, as expected, were superb as were the brussel sprouts, onions and spinach. Service was excellent, our server was attentive without being intrusive. J&K is expensive but the combination of food and service were worth the cost. Overall, our experience was 5 Star.
