J&G Steakhouse Scottsdale at The Phoenician
Fantastic food service best steak in town. Amazing service. Over and beyond what you would expect. The views were beautiful. Such a great experience.
Very good experience we loved everything
Great food, but our waitress was always making jokes and acting weird every time she came by the table. Even showed a picture of her mom to the table next to us. In comparison, last time we ate there the waiter was very attentive and meticulous. I see that he was still there. Wish he would have had our table the other night.
We came in to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday! We are both Native Arizonans but had never been to this restaurant before. Amazing views! Amazing food! Amazing service. Zach took exceptional care of us and was on point with everything!!! Attention to detail made the experience extra special. We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend to friends and family!
Waited 25 minutes before someone took our drink order. Ordered our steak medium and it came out well done. Way over priced for the quality.
Excellent like always! Beautiful ambience, views, service and outstanding food!
Between the impeccable service, attention to detail and astounding food quality, the evening was a hit!
Beautiful view of Phoenix. Awesome food and great service.
Such a wonderful experience! Staff was exquisitely attentive and supportive, the food was delicious and the aura of the restaurant was romantic and private. Husband and I will return!
I enjoyed dining here. There attention to detail and service is great.
I absolutely loved this place! Everything was wonderful, from the food to the service and the ambiance. Wow, just amazed thank you for your excellent service.
Host was not kind
The restaurant was spectacular. The service was very good and the food was wonderful. I would not hesitate to go back again. It made our anniversary really special.
We dined at this restaurant while we were staying at the Phoenician resort. We were looking forward to it and had high expectations based on the reviews that are posted here and also the reputation. We were overall disappointed in the experience. There were four of us and one of the steaks was overcooked. I will say that they removed it from our bill which we appreciated. A few noteworthy items, one is we ordered a chopped salad before dinner and they brought it out late with the dinner. However, the worst part was that it looked like they just put a bag of lettuce onto the plate and nothing else. I wish I would’ve taken a photograph because it was so confusing. I have had far better chopped salads at fast food restaurants. Additionally the rolls were not served warm and seem to be days old, not fresh. This is a small thing but at a restaurant of this caliber you expect more. Another detail that was confusing is that they had paper placemats at the tables. This seemed cheap in comparison to the rest of the ambience here. And, considering you are there for a fine dining experience.
Overall, for the price point of the restaurant.and the Jean Georges reputation it fell very flat and we were disappointed.
Took a wonderful girl to one of the most scenic restaurants in Arizona.
Great view and fantastic service. I had the grilled lobster which was cooked perfectly. Hubby had peppercorn steak—a little over cooked but ok. And the dessert was amazing.
I ate dinner here and will recommend to friends. My dining partners and I shared food that made the experience that much greater. Our server, Amy, was great as well. She gave honest feedback on menu items and gave us time and space to enjoy ourselves. If you’re looking for a place for wonderful views of Phoenix and great food, stop by this place. Located at the Phoenician resort.
Not the best food but it was pretty good.
The ambiance made up for it for sure!
We sat out on the balcony and it was perfect.
Everything surpassed our expectations. Amazing delicious unique food. Spot on service. Nice view. Can't ask for anything more.
Amazing location. Stunning views. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
We sat outside on a balmy evening and it was delightful. Shared a dover sole, plenty for each and those good Comte potato's. Potato's good but not great; seemed to have been scooped into casserole, topped w/cheese and put under the broiler for a minute, as opposed to baking en-casserole.
Sitting outside provided benefit of lower volume level of music; a good thing for us looking for super club softness, not boom-boom discord.
The dover sole is the draw for us; noteworthy!!
amazing service loved everything about this 5 star restaurant
Great view, excellent service and nice atmosphere for business discussion. Menu was more limited than I would have expected however.
Took my mom for her bday dinner during Restaurant Week and tried the special menu. Everything was delicious and the view was spectacular. Will definitely come back with my husband!
Steaks took 45 min to come out and were very over cooked (my medium rare steak came out medium well). It was obvious they had sat in the window a long time. Took another 20 mins for them to remake a rare and medium rare steak. So we sat there for over an hour between our oyster appetizer and our dinner. The 2nd ribeyes were ok temperatures, but they were tough, under seasoned, and not very good at all. We have been to many fine dining steakhouses in many large cities, and this did not compare to quality we expected. We will not be returning.
Beautiful restaurant and very professional service. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Extra bonus, was the 3-course restaurant week menu.
Food left something to be desired; steak was over cooked and asparagus salad was clearly out of season - seasoning in general was subpar. We’ve been to Jean-George’s Inn at Pound Ridge and this is a far cry from that level of quality. View was beautiful and the staff is excellent.
This was my secondmd time coming to J & G Steakhouse. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel welcome. The ambiance is amazing. The view is breath taking. I would definitely recommend coming here to eat. I know i will be coming back.
Steak was grossly over cooked
A fish dish had no taste
Service waitress didn’t recognize my wife’s presence in usual “proper order”
Awesome place with fabulous food, impeccable service, and a wonderful staff.
This restaurant is absolutely worth every dollar!!!
Service impeccable, food delicious, cocktails tasty, view beautiful.
We have been there several times over the last number of years. The food is always fantastic. We went for restaurant week. We had the steak and fish as usually very tasty and more reasonable cost.
The view was spectacular. We all loved our cocktails. The service was ok. But the food was a huge disappointment. Overall, it was Bland. Dishes were Cold when they should have been warm, and the dessert was burned! Not a little browned but blackened and inedible. We won’t waste our time here again.
Jeff was so kind. Had a great experience.
Our special anniversary dinner at J&G was absolutely fabulous. We started with the charred corn ravioli - not sure just what to expect, but it was delicious, served in a lovely pesto sauce and garnished with cherry tomato halves. We shared the dover sole grenobloise, which was deboned tableside, and was just as wonderful as it has been in previous visits. We shared asparagus on the side, done just right and accompanied with a lemon slice. Our complimentary anniversary dessert satisfied our chocolate cravings with a lava cake and accompanying ice cream and other chocolate trimmings. Even in the resort off-season, the restaurant was quite busy, but the nicely separated seating areas kept the noise level comfortable and easy for conversation. This is our go-to spot for special occasions.
We had one of the best dinners we have ever had here! Our server, Jeff, was amazing and the food was delicious!
Our waiter, Zack, was awesome! We dined on a Monday night so not many patrons and therefore a quiet evening. French onion soup was probably best I’ve ever had. Overall a great experience.
