Birthday dinner besides fireplace
Every time we stay at Deer Valley, we eat here. Food is excellent and fresh. Many very good, creative options - bone marrow, pasta carbonara, mussels, etc. One member of our party is Celiac, so had to have gluten free - there was no problem accommodating her. It's nice that the kids menu has a petite filet mignon, and not just the usual kid meals. Pricey, but worth it.
I thought the food was ok, not great. The service was outstanding and the views were absolutely breathtaking. This is a great restaurant to grab a nice drink, sit by the fire and take in the views
Ordered $75 NY strip med rare. Comes well done. Refire comes blue gummy rare. Now sides are cold and family finished eating. Reheated comes back better. 4th time there. Never again.
Tuna and mussels were amazing!
The restaurant is pretty and the ambiance is nice. The burrata cheese appetizer was fantastic. The main dishes, however, were just ok. My husband ordered the porterhouse to share with my son and it was just average steak. I ordered the braised short rib and it was also just good and not fantastic. For the price of our meals, I expected something better. We went to Firewood (on Main Street) the night before and the service and meals there were much better.
Amazing every time. Delicious food and impeccable service.
Great service! Mussels were delicious!
Food came very late and was both overcooked and lukewarm. Service was very slow.
Too many noisy kids! We have children too, but the noise level was beyond. I am not sure we will come back unless it is for a very late dinner, but this was at 8:15 so I don’t know how much later would make a difference.
Love it emery time!
Through no fault of our waiter....the tenderloin was not prepared as ordered....one child’s meal was not as described and the entrees were very late arriving.
Also a bottle of wine that was suggested by the sommelier was not available after being ordered. Lastly, there was insufficient staff to bus the table. In fact, our plates were still on the table when we left.
I would expect this level of service in a 2 star, maybe 3 star, restaurant but not at a St. Regis.
It’s unfortunate because we have enjoyed Deer Valley for many years and looked forward to our special dinner at the St. Regis.
Exceptional meal and fine dining experience but for this price point, we felt like server and waitstaff should be better trained. For example, the server did not bring my salad and seemed to have forgotten I ordered one. Members of our party were a little taken aback that the staff did not know to leave all the salad plates there until everyone was finished. Besides these points, the food was delicious.
WOW, outstanding in every respect. Service, ambiance, great tasty food too. Bring your wallet.
Great service and food was decent. Can’t say it was worth the price though.
Noce place, excellent service, the food is good but not extraordinary
Food was overpriced. View beautiful, ride up in furniculor outstanding. Service was good, but could have been better. Our server appeared to have a few demanding tables. We got pushed to the background. I ordered wine and was about halfway into my meal before I got someone’s attention and asked where it was. However I couldn’t get to half of a water glass and it was refilled.
Very good food, with attentive service. Good for kids and very accommodating in terms of splitting dishes, sauce on the side, etc. Pleasant setting, relatively quiet with spread out tables. Somewhat pricey but not unexpected as it is in the St. Regis. Overall, a very good experience and I would definitely recommend.
Always awesome
What a difference the season makes. To celebrate our daughter's 32nd birthday, we drove up to the St Regis for some funicular driven fun. Not expecting a crowd due to the lack of snow, the abundance of humanity surprised me. I guess PC is always popular in February. Of course the St. Regis being what it is, can handle the crowds. How wrong I was.
Service was amateurishly poor, and almost laughable. Tables around us were expressing dismay at the plethora of mistakes. It was comical.
Food was not good. My carbonara was tasteless, more reminiscent of a Fettuccine Alfredo. Pizzas were fairly disgusting, and a frozen Tombstone would be infinitely superior. The Wagyu hamburger was over cooked, and there was literally no taste of the purported truffle cheese. Everything was basically left on our plates, and the server never inquired why. It was a horrific meal. Fortunately, the setting, and the "funicular fun" somewhat compensated for the in-eatable dining.
Surprisingly, this is the second restaurant in Park City that wowed me out of season and disgusted me in season. I realize serving staff is hard to acquire during the ski season when schools are in session. But, are chefs so mesmerized by the crowds their culinary skills evaporate? I don't get it, but Park City won't see me again until the end of April.
Good food, good service, pretty room
Excellent service. Food was outstanding. Good options
Service was absolutely horrible. Food quality is what you would expect from a low-end restaurant in a hotel. I was extremely disappointed that our food took nearly an hour to come out, and the server didn’t seem to care about the long ticket time.
Great for a delicious lunch. Always fun to take a funicular to your destination. Would recommend checking it out for a fun and tasty experience.
The service was great, but the food was really underwhelming. My wife had a burger and i had the flank steak w truffle fries. We were really looking forward to a nice lunch at the Regis but in our 4 days spent in Park City it was probably the worst meal, food wise. View was amazing and service was great. Would give it a another chance but wouldnt go out of my way.
Excellent service coupled with terrific food from simply grilled seafood and steaks to more elaborate and creative combinations. Highly recommend and we are never disappointed.
Menu offer something for everyone. Service great. Food very consistent. Burgers are awesome! Also like dinner here. Simply grilled fish to more elaborate combinations. Tuna tartare a favorite.
We were celebrating our daughter’s engagement. Our waiter was absolutely amazing. His professional nature and his attention to details with us was perfect.
We reserved for a New Years dinner several months ago. A couple days prior to our dinner we received an email advising us that the only dinner option was a $215.00 pp tasting menu offering a seven course meal. We don’t normally like tasting menus, but agreed since we didn’t have many other alternatives available given such a short notice. We thought this is a St. Regis restaurant-it has to be great! Right? Wrong... The food was medoiocre and the service not much better. The server struggled to keep our table clean and ready for the next plate. At times we thought they wouldn’t change our silverware between tastings. The food was at times served cold and when we complained they heated it and then brought together with the following tasting option. The plates were at times casually tossed on our table diner style. Overall, we felt as if we were taken for a ride. Some of you may say: well it’s New Years-what else can you expect? But, then again the place wasn’t full and didn’t appear overwhelmed with too many guests. We highly recommend you stay away from this restaurant.
Special meal, never disappoints. Every dish delicately prepared, filled with flavors. Excellent service.
Service was terrible. We were 6 people and 2 people had to wait 20 minutes for their main courses. Unacceptable at a restaurant of this caliber and price point. We were also in the wine room and one of us had to get up so a waiter could climb a ladder over our heads to get a bottle for another table. Been coming here since it opened. Worst experience ever.
We were 5 people and we had the tasting menu, with wine. Our server, Reggie, was outstanding .
The food was delicious, the tuna tartare and short ribs especially. A wonderful family dinner .
Great and Mark is fantastic
Amazing ambiance, great service and the very best salmon I've had!!
Very nice evening. A great meal, great ambiance and wonderful service.
While we love the St Regis, this restaurant has sadly gone downhill in quality. I ordered the tasting menu. The soup was cold, the salad was boring, the entree portion of fish was tiny and unflavorful but the dessert was good.
My husband's tuna entree was also boring. I will only return for cocktails and dessert in the future. Very disappointed.
Food was great and the service was friendly. Salmon pizza is superb!
Love J&G Grill. It never disappoints. We came for our anniversary and it was excellent! The menu is never exactly the same - but whatever we order we always enjoy. The Salted Caramel Sundae is a favorite dessert that is ALWAYS on the menu.
We had a great time and a very special dinner!!
I have been coming to J&G for over five years now. Sadly, I have noticed the quality of the food decline over the past couple of years. This place could be so much better as the ambiance, service and setting are all top notch. I will probably not be coming back here as there are better options for food in town.
