We have been going all the time since it opened and loved it they changed the menu not as good
Had read some very good reviews so thought we would try. Fish was burned service was very average. Maybe a bad night?
We love the new menu. Brava to the chef.
And, as always, Thanks to Glenn for outstanding service.
Being Jean Gorges in New York one of my favorite restaurants in the world so far, I had to try J&G during mu trip to Park City. To my surprise, food was ok, definitely not what I expected from Jean Gorges. Could be much better if minor details are taken care of.
Excellent service. Limited menu compared to previous years. Bread $6. Missed shrimp entree and tomato soup from last year. Transportation from base added 15min awaiting single cable car (2nd car inoperable), while shuttles running from base we didn’t see.
Wonderful dinner, excellent food and service. The funicular up to the restaurant was a fun addition to our dinner date. Highly recommended!
Service is so slow. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. So many workers walking around yet no one came by to give us water when we sat down. I had to ask for our server. Foods ok.
First of all, let me start by saying that the service is fantastic. The waiters are very attentive, personal and know the menu very well. However, the food is not good. We ordered the lamb, octopus and pizza for apps. The octopus was chewy, slimy and definitely not charred. The lamb was fine, but came with so many onions...it was more of an onion dish. The pizza was fine...We ordered the bolognese and the mussels for entrees. The bolognese was good, not amazing for $30, but decent and edible. The mussels were inedible. They arrived barely open, but completely overlooked. Mussels are supposed to be plump and juicy, these were dry and fell apart when forked. I was afraid I’d be sick eating them, as I had to really force them open to eat. I sent them back and ordered the crispy chicken. The chicken was so dry and the skin tough (not crispy). We were told by the waiter this isn’t a Jean George Restaurant any more and there was a new chef, and they were training new chefs. When I’m paying $30-40 for an entree, I expect the best. The menu looked really good, and the flavors were there, but the execution was really bad. The mixed drinks are good. This meal was super surprising given we are staying at a St Regis.
Food was good but had to send Main entree back due to it being cold.
Good but disappointed they changed the menu recently and it is much more limited than it used to be. Hope they will enhance the lunch and dinner menus.
J&G has always been one of our favorite placing to dine. They recently did a complete revamp of their menu. Not a good decision. Everything they were none for is gone. Very sad to say but will not likely go back with current menu.
This was such an incredible meal! Every course was fantastic! Reggie was so knowledge and made our evening fun!
The new menu was quite gamey. There needs to be a little more variety to appeal to all.
We shared the cauliflower and pistachio appetizer which was delicious. For entree we shared the salmon which was very good.
Jessica was a great server we really liked the way she explained the menu and the drinks. Food was great as well.
Hostess was nice . Food is good. Service is lacking
Reggie was the best. He killed it and just went above and beyond to make my parents have a great dining experience and gave us 'kids' plenty of comic relief all while making the best food and drink suggestions. The veal was perfection. The salted caramel dessert, delicious. We will be back for the new menu.
From the moment we were greeted, sat at our table and served to the moment we left everything was perfect. Reggie, our waiter, was a delight and very attentive to detail. Our dishes were delicious. My husband had the poulet and I had the lamb loin. The tables are set a good distance apart so privacy is afforded. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone at J&G that made that happen.
Wife and I each did the five course menu option minus the wine. Food was delicious. Great textures, great flavors, well thought out, balanced, and executed dishes. The ride from the bottom entrance of the hotel using the gondola to the restaurant was fun and exciting. The ambiance was good not great. I’ve come to appreciate certain restaurants in hotels such as a Ritz to not fill tables close to each other to provide guests with more intimacy and space to enjoy their experience. That wasn’t the case tonight. I could hear multiple conversations loud and clear all around our table but not loud enough that we had to talk over any table. Service was good, drinks were very good. Local craft whiskeys are surprisingly well balanced. Overall, very nice hotel, diligent staff, good food. Food didn’t blow my face off which is what I’d expect from the price on my receipt but very pleasant evening. Oh, and multiple Uber drivers even very experienced ones don’t know that the map will show both the restaurant level and lower hotel entrance level to be in a similar location on the apps map but it is in fact not the same location. As we walked out of the restaurant toward the gondola I ordered a driver. Rode down and couldn’t find my driver and he couldn’t find us. Had to re order a driver after first one gave up and canceled. Hotel staff was very helpful and aware of the situation and was more than eager to help. None of this experience plays into the restaurant review by the way.
I&G Grill never disappoints! They did a great job decanting a magnum. The service was fabulous! The food was superb! The tuna & mussels were great appetizers. The lamb, fish special & tuna were deliciouss. The risotto was a little disappointing. We were celebrating a birthday & they brought out a special dessert. Breakfast was just as good.
The Hotel, however, is a disappointment! First stay, they misplaced our luggage for several hours, & this time we only had hot water (couldn’t take a shower). Maybe, just go to the Grill & stay @ a different Hotel.
J&G Grill was the best experience i've ever had at a restaurant. Service and food was outstanding! I would definitely come again and would recommend this place to all my friends.
Tasting wine before purchasing is a well appreciated. we
The funicular railway ride up to the restaurant was amazing! The waitress Ganna was very accommodating, made great suggestions, was very familiar with the preparation of all of our entrees and especially friendly and talkative to her guests!
Absolutely delicious, incredible ambience, extraordinary 5 star service! This is our favorite bar & restaurant in Park City. Its ideal for special occasions. Taking the furnicular lift up to the St Regis Hotel starts the entire evening with a special note. Start outside at the bar for drinks and appetizers while enjoying the breathtaking mountain & canyon views.
Great service! Our waitress was so sweet and wished us a happy anniversary many times and even treated us to a complimentary dessert!
It’s a beautiful place. Taking the funicular up was fun and the view was gorgeous. The food was delicious.
We had made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary here. When we showed up and told them we had a reservation, the woman working told us the restaurant had decided to close for the day and pointed to the bar, telling us we could go there if we wanted. It killed the day’s mood a little. The service there was slow (both drinks and food).
Overall it was alright, but did not meet our expectations.
This gorgeous restaurant overlooks the mountainside and ski runs of Deer Valley. The food is great - creative and it makes use of local ingredients. The service is outstanding. Highly recommended.
We had another wonderful visit to J&G Grill. Glenn, our server, was amazing and accommodated all our asks/requests. Our evening was a highlight of our visiting family’s trip to Park City. Thank you!!
We love J&G Grill. As locals, it is a reliable spot we can come for a fine evening out when we want something more special. They always are happy to accommodate our vegan diet and service is friendly and efficient.
Our server, Reggie, is always such a pleasure and a true professional! He adds to our experience every time. We love coming to J&G and love seeing Reggie
We had a fabulous time and the staff was excellent!
The past 2 years we've had the pleasure of dining at the J&G Grill. It's been an incredible venue to celebrate our engagement and our wedding and the staff has made it such a memorable and classy experience. The food, the wine, the people most importantly are incredible and leave you feeling appreciated, valued, and a part of the experience.
Thank you for helping us celebrate our special moment!
Always our favorite place when we go to Park City. The food is consistently excellent. The setting is spectacular. And we always get superb service when we ask for Glenn. We'll be back soon.
Wonderful meal and service. Wagyu burger was exceptional. Sea bass was tasty but of a very small portion.
I have been to J&G several times over the years. It is by far the most consistently excellent restaurant in Park City, and I have been to 90% of them. So when it came to celebrate my birthday dinner, I chose J&G for myself with my family, which also includes two 20-something boys. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the service was excellent. Special kudos to our favorite bartender in PC, Brett, because he mixed up a refreshingly yummy gin cocktail to get the night started.
Beautiful view, awesome food, and good service. I would recommend a visit there.
Exorbitantly expensive for a subpar dining experience. There are far less expensive options in Deer Valley that will leave you much more satisfied.
Such a great, great experience every time we're here. All in all love the staff, the food, the ambiance.
Really nice dining experience. Beautiful place. Good service. Food was delicious. Prices are high, especially for the small portion size and ala carte format. Just need to expect quality, but not quantity or a value-priced meal.
Dining at JG Grill is always a pleasure. Great service, high quality food creatively prepared, and reliably lovely ambiance.
Beautiful evening outdoors ! Everything was superb!!
