Had drinks on the patio after skiing and then ate at the restuant. Had one of the best deserts I have ever had, the 101 Grand bar
Thoroughly enjoyed the food here. The menu is quite simple but very elegant options. We had the blood orange and burrata (amazing!), the bread service (not complimentary and the waiter let us know prior), the signature salmon dish (also amazing), brussel sprouts, and then the 101 grand dessert. All very good with great service. With tip, the meal came out to $150
Nice restaurant but very overpriced for what they served
Great restaurant. We have been there several times and eat=ch time have had great meals. Innovative cuisine, good drinks. Great desserts. Fabulous views of the mountain. Service was very good, also.
Waited over an hour for our food after we ordered.
NOt great experience and not worth the money. Please advertise it's Utah and you can't order bloody mary's for breakfast until after 11:30 AM (Bloody Mary's are what they're famous for) and service was AWFUL for the price of $38 buffet breakfast or $55 buffet lunch. So disappointed
Ganna our server was excellent. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great.
Need at least 1 light menu option for dinner. Otherwise a reliable and. Wonderful experience.
Excellent food and service ; lovely room, overall a great meal.
Very mediocre experience. Was expecting much more from the Saint Regis and Jean Georges. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t exactly great. Very mediocre, wouldn’t recommend it.
Ordered the NY Strip steak and it was half fat and grizzle. They took off half the price of it but it ruined my dinner experience.
My formerly favorite restaurant in Deer Valley has gone drastically downhill. Food was way too salty. Food combinations sound interesting but taste terrible. The chicken sauce was so sweet/sour/vinegary as to be inedible. Ingredient quality is high, but it doesn't matter if you smother excellent chicken in an inedible sauce. Even the Brussel sprouts which are usually crack to us were inedible. We had two each and left the rest. The Parker house rolls were tasteless and not even warm. We had a nibble and didn't finish. The waiter didn't ask why. Probably knows. Service was slow despite a mostly empty dining room. We were planning on having dessert but after seeing the table next to us not finish the only dessert that looked even remotely appealing, we decided not to. All of the former great Jean Georges dishes are gone. I find it impossible to believe that there is still an affiliation with Jean Georges given the menu. I won't be back again which is sad, because it is a beautiful space and I have had many great meals there, but things have really deteriorated.
All around fantastic experience. Service was impeccable and food was awesome. Can’t beat the view.
We had a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and delicious night out. Our server was incredible and she was a delight to be around. She was completely knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations for every course. I am a vegetarian and although there were not many entree options, she did a great job of designing an amazing vegetarian meal for me with expertly baked tofu and fantastic flavor profiles. The views are incredible and we enjoyed everything about our experience.
Wine sommelier Mark Moulton was outstanding.
His recommendations of a Champagne Éric Philippe 2012 Vintage followed by a bottle of 2011 Tayson Pierce Cabernet Sauvignon made the evening.
We came here while skiing to celebrate my 6 year old's birthday. We had amazing service and the food was fantastic. They also brought out a little dessert with a candle for my little boy. We will definitely be back next year.
Service was a bit slow,I do believe they may have been short handed. Once they were aware of the shortage they immediately corrected the problem. Staff was extremely friendly and very pleasant. My dish was superb, veal shank, my fiancé ordered the New York 7 oz but was not as pleased. Overall very pleasant evening.
We absolutely love J&G Grill and make sure to go whenever we're in Park City. The service is outstanding from the time you enter the restaurant to your departure. The chef was very accommodating to our vegetarian diner and the dinner was excellent from the Parker Rolls to the Goat Cheese Cheesecake. The dining room is open with great views to the outdoors and slopes but still feels intimate and comfortable.
Service was slow
Soup was cold
Hamburger was served medium when guest requested well done
Mussels were not hot. Luke warm
Overall, a tremendous experience. Knowledgeable server with excellent command of the comprehensive wine list. Food preparation and presentation first class...we will definitely return.
We started our dinner with pizza and octopus apps and both were delicious. Our entrees were the veal bolognese and the filet mignon and both were amazing. The steak was accompanied by an amazing unique creative sauce that was heavenly. Highly recommend J & G Grill at the St. Regis!
We come to the J&G Grill every year on our annual friends trip, and this place never disappoints. We requested Reggie, who was once again a phenomenal server that made the evening extra special. The menu changed this year, moving a little away from the grill/steakhouse concept, but instead replacing it with a number of exceptional choices. Just a great dinner and can’t wait to be back next year!!
Wonderful breakfast! Simple yet very flavorful and fresh.
Parker house rolls cold and old. Asked for a new order. Not much better. Menu says serves with a pinched salt. No one knew
Cauliflower soup good. Caesar sad wilted deconstruction,
Dressing watery, weak and under used. Very little care goes into this simple salad.
Tandoori chicken sandwich really a wrap. Chicken super over cooked. No sauce. Asked they brought ranch. Go figure. Mostly bread. They call it naan but clearly no one there has ever had naan before. Expensive.
An embarrassment for the St Regis brand
We were in the wine room and the acoustics were incredibly loud. There was a very loud and raucous group that came and that totally overwhelmed everyone else in the room. They were very rude and obnoxious. And unfortunately the acoustics of the room made it worse. We were quickly evacuated into the other room which was far better. That’s actually the only real complaint about the experience. And I guess that’s not the restaurants fault
Yes would recommend because it is a great place to view skiers and enjoy the Park City lifestyle. It took forever to order and then it took a long until the food was ready. Our server was great. I think there are not enough staff members to accommodate better service.
I used to love this restaurant when it was affiliated with Jean Georges, but it is way too pretentious now. Some of the prices on the menu were obscene by any standard and were not merited at all. The food is good, but based on price you would think you were at a Michelin rated restaurant. Not worth going back.
Service went downhill over the years. Used to be a favorite but not anymore. Extremely slow and inattentive. Staff is overwhelmed and undermanned on an expectedly crowded ski week.
Nice place but lots of kids. This is the hotel's breakfast, lunch and dinner spot. Food was bland: octopus, bransino (sea bass), and osso bucco.
Great experience. Reggie was outstanding in every way
Overpriced and not amazing food - roasted cauliflower was bland, their specialty rolls were less than flavorful, and the veal could have used more side dish for the size of the shank. The tuna was pretty fantastic though.
Also, it was our 3 year wedding anniversary (we got married at the St. Regis) and I made a special request for a “great” table. We were seated in a basic two person table in the middle of the restaurant and not a single mention of “congrats” or acknowledgment of our wedding there. The server was excellent but the hostess was clearly overwhelmed and not English as primary language so I doubt she was even paying attention to many details of her hosting duties.
Bar HORRIBLE!! 30 minutes to get our drinks!!! You need more bartenders & separate servers!!! NO excuse in a 1st class hotel!!!
Excellent food and service. A bit pricey - $65 for filet is steep.
It doesn’t get better than The St. Regis Deer Valley!
We have been to J&G many times and have always considered it a favorite. The have changed the menu and the service has declined significantly. Our waitress forgot to put our entrees in and the manager came over to talk to us and interrupted our conversation. Unprofessional. We have marked this off the list of go tos
We have dined at this restaurant year after year on our visit to deer valley. Being from the New York metropolitan area, we often dine at Jean George restaurants . Understanding the very high prices, we appreciate the total experience so it is not an issue. This visit was very different, however. The service was average, definitely not up to Jean George standards. The server boasted about the tomohawk without telling us the price. Thankfully , we asked as it was 280 dollars. That would have been a very big shock! But the straw that broke the camels back was the lovely wood bread board that sits to the right of each plate accompanied by a very sharp bread knife. We waited and waited for the waiter to come by with the familiar basket filled with delicious breads of many varieties and piping hot. When we asked the waiter for the bread, he acted surprised and informed us that it is no longer complimentary. Would we still like it? That reminded me of when we stayed in one of the most beautiful hotels in the world and they charged us for WiFi. Very petty. We enjoyed the food immensely but the total experience was not very Jean George at all!!
Haven’t experienced as much of an upsell at any other restaurant than we experienced in this place. Aggressive.
Service was poor and food not cooked properly. Ordered hamburger well done with Parmesan truffle fries. Hamburger was barely cooked medium and didn’t bring fries. By the time I got my burger back, the rest of my group was done with lunch. Had to ask twice for mustard. Server took my husband’s empty Diet Coke glass without asking if he needed a refill. No drink the rest of the meal. VERY disappointing and lost two hours of my day.
J&G grill is an excellent dining option for a special occasion. The atmosphere, menu and drink selections are excellent and the service is exquisite. $70 for cedar plank salmon is rather steep, as are other items on the menu, so we really only go there for special occasions and we stick to more reasonable selections like the barramundi sea bass and the ahi. Not happy that they serve veal, and apparently the duck is force-fed like a foie gras goose. These days it is so easy to serve delicious fine dining options that do not involve animal cruelty.
We were asked by the server if we would like bread, no mention that there was a charge for it. When we got our bill, there was a 6 dollar charge, never paid for bread before.
