Service was poor and food not cooked properly. Ordered hamburger well done with Parmesan truffle fries. Hamburger was barely cooked medium and didn’t bring fries. By the time I got my burger back, the rest of my group was done with lunch. Had to ask twice for mustard. Server took my husband’s empty Diet Coke glass without asking if he needed a refill. No drink the rest of the meal. VERY disappointing and lost two hours of my day.
We were asked by the server if we would like bread, no mention that there was a charge for it. When we got our bill, there was a 6 dollar charge, never paid for bread before.
One of favorite restaurant. Food is always great and atmosphere very cozy!!!
The only problem was that they were out of both the things we ordered- the veal shank & the duck,. As it was only 745 my husband was not happy with the limited meat options. On the good note both our second choices were excellent especially the veal pasta dish. They surprised me with glasses of champagne for my birthday & the service & ambiance were excellent as always. Overall a wonderful experience
J&G Grill is good - maybe not quite worth the price, but the service is impeccable and the food was great!
We had a lovely dinner at JG Grill. We had an excellent waiter, Glenn. The service was professional and the ambiance was beautiful. The food, however, did not wow us as we hoped it would. We got the Parker house rolls for bread service. The goat cheese spread was very good but the rolls, compared to parker house rolls we have had other places were a tad dry. I had the blood orange and burrata appetizer which was a new and interesting combination of flavors. I was good but I probably wouldn’t order a second time. The toasted bread that accompanied it was too charred for my preference. My father had their special salad with the soy truffle vinaigrette which he enjoyed very much. For entree I had the mussels. The broth was delicious but mussels were not the best I’ve tasted. I should have considered this though since were in Utah. My father ordered the special filet. Again, very good but not great. We did really really enjoy our chocolate dessert with the salted caramel ice cream and cappuccinos at the end. I would say for the experience it is certainly worth a trip and perhaps we ordered the wrong things. I also would recommend that JG Grill update their website and online menu posted and perhaps remove the relationship with Jean Georges posted. This was the food we were anticipating when we made the reservation. Thank you for an enjoyable evening!
Could not have been better from start to finish! We were greeted warmly by the receptionist, our waiter and the staff were wonderful, and the food was extraordinary! The best restaurant experience in Park City!
Service was outstanding as usual. Atmosphere great. Fair value. Duck, Ahi Tuna, and Veal Bolognese all great. NY Strip was cold, no juice or flavor and horrible. Still one of my favorite DV spots.
Amazing food! Great views as well. Enjoyed the whole experience.
Food was great . Excellent bloody Marys. Great service.
Food delicious! Service not so good. Chef made us breakfast after 11 which was very nice! Overall amazing. Again wish the service was a little better.
Love Rachel’s food! She has great attention to detail. The flavors were top notch. We will definitely return!
There ended up being 3 of us. It took almost 3 minutes for our drinks to arrive and 90 minutes for our lunch which was soups and salads. That kind of service is not acceptable for an establhment of your calibe.
Excellent service. Excellent food Superb wine list the view is worth the trip. Pricey but it was expected
Wonderful, attentive staff and excellent waitress. Food was wonderful.
Ok to start off I never leave reviews, I am in the restaurant business and own/operate over 15 concepts so I understand that there are always some issues. I was really disappointed in everything from the hostess, service, and time. He forgot 2 apple juices to start and then he went down to the other bar I guess to grab vanilla syrup. He didn’t come back for 15-20 mins. We asked another server and runner to help but they both ignored us and no one came up to help. By the time he came back the food was already served and we have been eating for 5 mins with 4 people not having drinks( 2 apple juices and 2 lattes). Also we ordered apps and no small plates were served for sharing. Wouldn’t it make sense to send a runner down to grab the syrup instead of having our server leave our table for 15-20mins? Overall I’m just completely disappointed for a hotel group like St Regis to have such a bad experience.
Food and service were both exceptional!
Our server was amazing.
Just not that inspiring for a 5 star hotels main restaurant. A Special detailed twice but with no price. When asked the waitress said “Five hundred seventy five”. So one of the most expensive steaks in any restaurant. A wine list with bottles listed to “10k” but no sommelier The silverware was collected from each setting before the plates Something a restaurant manager might teach the staff if there was one as we never saw any sign and it clearly needs one.
Great new menu. Loved our server, Reggie. Very friendly and helpful with menu choices!
We have been going all the time since it opened and loved it they changed the menu not as good
Had read some very good reviews so thought we would try. Fish was burned service was very average. Maybe a bad night?
We love the new menu. Brava to the chef.
And, as always, Thanks to Glenn for outstanding service.
Being Jean Gorges in New York one of my favorite restaurants in the world so far, I had to try J&G during mu trip to Park City. To my surprise, food was ok, definitely not what I expected from Jean Gorges. Could be much better if minor details are taken care of.
Avoid, unless you want to fight for a reservation in a half empty restaurant that is extremely over priced that promises the highest level of service and delivers rather a bunch of servers standing around talking to each other rather than delivering food and drink. It took 45 minutes to get a beer. The food is very small portions and extremely expensive. It certainly wasn’t special or “gourmet”. The Bloody Mary is interesting and good, so if you really want to go to the ST. Regis, its a much better idea to just go to the bar outside and its really unique fire pit area overlooking the mountain. There are lots of better lunch options on the mountain. And it is super expensive for what you get. Deer Valley is expensive, but this is over the top, but it would be okay if the portions weren’t tiny and the food really ordinary.
Excellent service. Limited menu compared to previous years. Bread $6. Missed shrimp entree and tomato soup from last year. Transportation from base added 15min awaiting single cable car (2nd car inoperable), while shuttles running from base we didn’t see.
Wonderful dinner, excellent food and service. The funicular up to the restaurant was a fun addition to our dinner date. Highly recommended!
Service is so slow. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. So many workers walking around yet no one came by to give us water when we sat down. I had to ask for our server. Foods ok.
First of all, let me start by saying that the service is fantastic. The waiters are very attentive, personal and know the menu very well. However, the food is not good. We ordered the lamb, octopus and pizza for apps. The octopus was chewy, slimy and definitely not charred. The lamb was fine, but came with so many onions...it was more of an onion dish. The pizza was fine...We ordered the bolognese and the mussels for entrees. The bolognese was good, not amazing for $30, but decent and edible. The mussels were inedible. They arrived barely open, but completely overlooked. Mussels are supposed to be plump and juicy, these were dry and fell apart when forked. I was afraid I’d be sick eating them, as I had to really force them open to eat. I sent them back and ordered the crispy chicken. The chicken was so dry and the skin tough (not crispy). We were told by the waiter this isn’t a Jean George Restaurant any more and there was a new chef, and they were training new chefs. When I’m paying $30-40 for an entree, I expect the best. The menu looked really good, and the flavors were there, but the execution was really bad. The mixed drinks are good. This meal was super surprising given we are staying at a St Regis.
Food was good but had to send Main entree back due to it being cold.
Good but disappointed they changed the menu recently and it is much more limited than it used to be. Hope they will enhance the lunch and dinner menus.
J&G has always been one of our favorite placing to dine. They recently did a complete revamp of their menu. Not a good decision. Everything they were none for is gone. Very sad to say but will not likely go back with current menu.
This was such an incredible meal! Every course was fantastic! Reggie was so knowledge and made our evening fun!
The new menu was quite gamey. There needs to be a little more variety to appeal to all.
We shared the cauliflower and pistachio appetizer which was delicious. For entree we shared the salmon which was very good.
Jessica was a great server we really liked the way she explained the menu and the drinks. Food was great as well.
Hostess was nice . Food is good. Service is lacking
Reggie was the best. He killed it and just went above and beyond to make my parents have a great dining experience and gave us 'kids' plenty of comic relief all while making the best food and drink suggestions. The veal was perfection. The salted caramel dessert, delicious. We will be back for the new menu.
From the moment we were greeted, sat at our table and served to the moment we left everything was perfect. Reggie, our waiter, was a delight and very attentive to detail. Our dishes were delicious. My husband had the poulet and I had the lamb loin. The tables are set a good distance apart so privacy is afforded. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone at J&G that made that happen.
Wife and I each did the five course menu option minus the wine. Food was delicious. Great textures, great flavors, well thought out, balanced, and executed dishes. The ride from the bottom entrance of the hotel using the gondola to the restaurant was fun and exciting. The ambiance was good not great. I’ve come to appreciate certain restaurants in hotels such as a Ritz to not fill tables close to each other to provide guests with more intimacy and space to enjoy their experience. That wasn’t the case tonight. I could hear multiple conversations loud and clear all around our table but not loud enough that we had to talk over any table. Service was good, drinks were very good. Local craft whiskeys are surprisingly well balanced. Overall, very nice hotel, diligent staff, good food. Food didn’t blow my face off which is what I’d expect from the price on my receipt but very pleasant evening. Oh, and multiple Uber drivers even very experienced ones don’t know that the map will show both the restaurant level and lower hotel entrance level to be in a similar location on the apps map but it is in fact not the same location. As we walked out of the restaurant toward the gondola I ordered a driver. Rode down and couldn’t find my driver and he couldn’t find us. Had to re order a driver after first one gave up and canceled. Hotel staff was very helpful and aware of the situation and was more than eager to help. None of this experience plays into the restaurant review by the way.
I&G Grill never disappoints! They did a great job decanting a magnum. The service was fabulous! The food was superb! The tuna & mussels were great appetizers. The lamb, fish special & tuna were deliciouss. The risotto was a little disappointing. We were celebrating a birthday & they brought out a special dessert. Breakfast was just as good.
The Hotel, however, is a disappointment! First stay, they misplaced our luggage for several hours, & this time we only had hot water (couldn’t take a shower). Maybe, just go to the Grill & stay @ a different Hotel.
