J. Alexander's - Redlands Grill – Peachtree Pkwy Ratings and Reviews
The service at the restaurant was okay. The waitress would leave and not come back for a very long time. When our food arrived it was good but I definitely didn't get a wow factor. What rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that I booked on open table went to the restaurant and then received an email the next day stating that I never showed up. Had I not disputed the claim it would have showed a no-show on my account. I really wouldn't recommend this restaurant. There wasn't much special about it. The waitress and hosts seem pretty stuck up.
We have been to this location on several occasions with no complaints. The food is very good along with the cocktails. Sometimes, the service gets a little wacky either because of some super duper large parties or sometimes a help shortage. Other than that, Redland is a nice restaurant to take you date, lover, wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law, your lawyer or bail bondsman. I don't think your doctor would want to join you.
We came to Redland on 11/18/17 for a delicious meal:
I had the twin filet mignon and my wife had the salmon. Both were very good. Our server though, seemed to be having a lack of training or didn't know what was going on. We had to ask him on several occasion for bread/butter and lime for our water. I ordered a bottle of Pellegrino to which He answered me "whats that"? He though it was a cocktail of some kind. After we got that straighten out, I asked again for those limes. We ordered our meals and about 15 minutes later, our bread showed up with a 1/4 slice of butter. I asked our server the next time he appeared to bring us some more butter. 10 minutes later, another server brought us another 1/4 slice of butter. By this time, we still haven't received our limes. I was ready to get up and go to the bar and get those limes myself, but another served finally delivered our limes.
I hate to write a long write-up on a meal especially when the service has a lot to be desired. In this case, it has to be mentioned in hope that either the management will retrain this employee or find him something else to do.
This is one of my favorite Restaurants to go to. It is great for lunch and convenient shopping.
If you have never tried this place, the food portions are large, the pricing is compatible to other high end restaurants. The food and service are very good.
Tonite was the 1st time we have had dinner at J.Alexander Redlands in Peachtree Corners. This area is a bit confusing because it could be called Peachtree Corners or Norcross. The reason is because Peachtree Corners is a fairly new city and not knowing where the city limits are.
Now, lets get back to the review of the Redlands. My filet was cooked EXACTLY the way I like it ( Medium well) and my wife's salmon was perfect. The noise level wasn't blowing us out of the room, though we had a large party of high schoolers who were celebrating some sort of a special gathering sitting a couple of tables over. My wine was perfect.
For a nice restaurant with very good food and service to match, their prices aren't thru the roof like elsewhere. We have made the rounds in the metro Atlanta restaurant scene, and have managed to create a list of those places we like and will return, and those places we won't give them a second thought.
The Redlands in PC / Norcross will be on our list of returning again. The list that contains "no returns" is almost 4 legal pages long which vs the list "returns" which is still on the 1st page.
We love when the management comes over to our table and asks how we feel about the establishment. This tell us that management cares about its customers.
Thanks again, J. Alexander's Redlands PC/Norcross.
Food came out on top of each other. We were trying to enjoy and evening with friends. Appetizer came out then before we could take a bite the salads arrived. I asked waitress to make sure entrees did not come out and to slow are service down. But they came out before we started our salads. We sent them back they said they redid them but ... not sure that happened with some of our entrees. This Resturant new frequent a lot, this was the first time this has happened. Usually their timing is good and we don’t feel that we are being pushed through to get us out.
What an Awesome birthday outing. My wife and I truly enjoyed the meal, service by Jaimee, and unique attention given on a special occasion. I ordered the Chicago ribeye and my Wife had the Mahi. The carrot cake dessert was tasty, also. Glory to God for Jaimee and staff at Redlands J. Alexanders. We will be back, Lord willing.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, a little early for our reservation time but we were seated quickly. Service was outstanding. Prime Rib was spectacular as was the pork tenderloin. Lots of great choices and really good value for both quality and size of the portions. We will definitely be back. PS: The carrot cake is a must order... fantastic!
We went to J. Alexanders/Redlands Grill for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We were seated promptly and were given a glass of champagne and a card from the restaurant. What a nice surprise!
We both enjoyed the Redlands salad and each had the prime rib for dinner. It was cooked perfectly. We topped off our meal with one of the best restaurant desserts I have had in a while, called Powerful Stuff. It was an ice cream mixed with various candy bars and it was delicious. Definitely too big for one person, so I am glad we shared.
Thank you for making our evening great!
I normally order the same few menu items but tried something different. Unfortunately, they did not follow my instructions to cook my salmon medium well. It arrived undercooked. So, they heated it longer which had the added effect of charring the outside, losing all the flavor that might have been on it originally. Or, there never was much flavor to begin with. Either way, it had no flavor and was not worth the money I spent for it. Otherwise, the food and service were up to par. I just won't order the salmon again.
This is the best place in town for a business lunch. The food is incredible. The service is impeccable. The noise level is not too much to speak about business, but is enough that other tables can't hear what you're saying. This is my favorite restaurant in Norcross. The carrot cake is the Best around.
J. Alexander's is consistently great! The quality, cleanliness, and service is simply beyond anything that any other restaurant is doing. I commute daily and I past this particular location must mornings around 6am and believe it or not there is always some in the kitchen prepping for the day. I've even seen crew members cleaning the restaurant at 6 am even though it was cleaned the night before!!
Try something different with the roasted artichokes! Their wood-fired goodness will remind you of the California coast. The calamari certainly partners well and prepares your tastebud for the main event! Personally, I like to have a salad (especially since it was lunchtime). Their Caesar salad is authentic. It works well as an entrée or side.
