Can’t find a bad thing to say about this place. Everything from the service to the food was amazing.
Wonderful time at Redlands ! Came for a birthday and food was fantastic:) the pork loin was absolutely the best I’ve very tasted! And the chicken salad was so delicious:) great place ! We will definitely be back!
This restaurant has become my favorite hangout. Everyone is friendly and professional. We had the Jumbo fried shrimp with fries and I was fantastic
Excellent, as always it is a treat to visit Redlands grill.
Always great, they are continuously setting the bar for fantastic lunches and dinners
It was delicious prime rib, but surprised that the ( high) price didn't include a salad (it was a la carte $10-$12) and the only side with the prime rib was potatoes, nothing "green."
It should have come with bread as well, again...for the price.
As a result, I doubt we will return since I can find many other nice restaurants that offer more for the same price.
Consistently good food and great service. I've been going to this restaurant ever since it opened and I've never been disappointed! Excellent appetizers and something on the menu to suit just about everyone's taste. Prices are reasonable.
Fantastic service and fantastic food!
Great service from Taylor. She was very friendly and professional. Will return soon.
I used to live in the area and have recently returned. I was a little concerned when I saw the name change from J. Alexander's to Redlands Grill. However, it was just as good as I remember. I even recognized staff members from several years ago still there. Wish I was better with names. Anyway on to the food:
Babyback Ribs 5 stars- moist, tender and literally falling off the bone. Amazing!
Southern Salad (used to be the Cypress salad?) 5 stars- generous portion, lots of fresh toppings (bacon, avocado, cheese, and CORNBREAD CROUTONS! OMG the cornbread croutons!)
Great service as well, friendly and not too pretentious.
We enjoyed it very much.
I love that we can BYOB, no corkage fee. (You’re welcome.). Coleslaw wasn’t as good as usual this time.
there was a large party near us who was very loud. management was aware and did everything they could to make our dining wonderful despite the disruption.
Great spot, for a quick lunch or a great dinner they never fail. I don’t even need to ask, their servers just know what I need.
Excellent wine, they have a fantastic list and a beautiful bar.
First time visit and will be back. Service was excellent.
The food was excellent. It's always busy on Saturday. Noise level a bit high, but overall a great experience.
My wife and I had an excellent dinner at Redlands Grill. The staff is always so welcoming here and our server was very friendly and professional. My wife ordered the Ahi Tuna Steak, and I ordered the featured Tuscan Steak, both of which were cooked to perfection. They always have delicious featured cocktails, and an extensive wine list, we both have our favorites but we almost always find something new to try! We have been here several times and have yet to be disappointed with the food, drinks, atmosphere, or service. Whether we dine at a table, or the bar, they always make it a great experience!
Today I had a crab cake, Not only was it huge, but it was hands down the best crab cake I’ve had in the city!
Great meal, great people. Everyone needs to try their very best chocolate cake. It is amazing
Came in with a group of old friends, they were featuring a fantastic bottle of red wine and a blue cheese strip that was beautiful. Keep it up!
Awesome experience at Redlands Grill. Highly recommend!
I love the atmosphere. Beautiful bar that has a good buzz but not too crazy. Also my favorite spot to entertain clients in the area. They have a great wine list that I would put up against any in the city for value (The Prisoner $70, Heitz $90, Camus $110, Silver Oak $145).
Daughter’s 8th Birthday
The first thing that struck me was the huge “Redlands” sign. I had no idea that they had changed their name. I was immediately hesitant to enter because I didn’t know what to expect. But I was already there and out of my car so what the heck!
The menu seemed to be very similar if not exactly the same from what I remember. The bartender assured me that J Alexanders was still the parent company and the quality was still the same. I was still skeptical until my prime rib arrived. It was heavenly! Just as good as I remember. Maybe some of the best I’ve ever had. This alone was worth the drive from Marietta! I would be remiss to not mention the bbq chicken flatbread (pizza) was delicious as well as the carrot cake which should be illegal it was so good. Service was great also. Wish I lived closer. We will be back!
Continuously impressed with the quality of this building. My food, my service, and the atmosphere are genuinely top notch. Some of the best in Atlanta
Great service and quality meals. We came for brunch and ordered the salads. Delicious as always! Highly recommended.
Let me start off by saying we’ve been to several restaurants in the Atlanta area and I normally order steaks. My wife & I went to J Alexanders for our 22nd anniversary of dating, she ordered the Marinated Ribeye & I ordered the NY Strip (both medium well). While the marinade on the ribeye was tasty, it was average at best. On the other hand, my Strip was just awful. It tasted like raw hamburger meat so I asked if they could cook it longer and they did but it didn’t matter; it was just a bad steak. No flavor, no taste, no seasoning, & wasn’t helped with steak sauce. I’ve had better steaks at Applebees (2 for $20) when I was a teenager. We won’t be returning customers, regardless if this was a one off or not. I can’t afford to toss away $45 (tax & tip) on a hope that they have better cuts of steaks.
Overall, good experience. Service was subpar. The waitress was not quick with getting water for our large party of ten and had to be asked frequently to bring more. She rarely attended the table and forgot multiple requests. The food was incredible and the ambience was nice.
Sat at the bar today, great service and some delicious cocktails. Will be back for sure!
I had a huge piece of Halibut off the grill with a cream sauce and a few fried shrimp on top. It was fantastic. The wife had crab cakes minus the spicy chipotle mayo (she doesn’t do spicy)and she loved them. Great seafood options this far away from the coast. Best part is the portions are big enough that we always have leftovers the next day. Kudos!
Well, this is our go to spot for a Friday night.
Always on point, service particularly good tonight.
Less robotic, more personal, always timely.
Overall impression at the table was just ok. There was nothing memorable about the food, particularly the steaks which at least people at the table ordered in different cuts. When two people at the table ordered the same glass of wine we would have expected the waiter to suggest a bottle.
Wonderful service, wonderful food. My wife had the grilled Striped Bass and I had the Crab Cakes. Both were fantastic.
Always enjoy everything about J. Alexander’s-Redlands. Good food, nice ambience, jazz music playing at appropriate levels in the background, and awesome service.
I live the Thai Kai salad! It’s the best thing ever! Please please please ever take that off the menu!
Great restaurant, friendly staff and the best key lime pie.
Great service, we needed for nothing. The menu is pretty straight forward. They are not breaking down any new culinary frontiers but we continue to go back because it is consistent. And that is sooo hard to find nowadays.
THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. THE RESTAURANT MANAGER CAME OVER TO OUR TABLE TO INTRODUCE HIMSELF. THAT IS THE SIGN OF A GREAT RESTAURANT!
This is our favorite local restaurant but tonight it was a little less than what we normally expect. Service was slow and they screwed up my wife’s order twice.
