J. Alexander's - Palm Beach Gardens Ratings and Reviews
We have been going there for many years. We had a waiter that was just terrible. Food was sent back as it was not cooked properly and then we had to wait and wait. We called over the manger and they FINALLY got the meal. I guess this was just a bad night, but no one apologized for the inconvenience. This is the reason for the poor review.
Went the Palm Beach Gardens location. It sits next door to a restaurant my husband used to absolutely love! We have yet to venture to the neighboring location because he loves J. Aledander's so much. Reminds us a lot of Houston's located in Boca Raton, but that it a bit far to go when we have J.'s 15 minutes from us!
The food is ALWAYS so tasteful, fresh and served promptly. The service is great, sets you at ease by not feeling rushed to get up from your table because there is a line waiting. Once you are seated, you feel the server's only focus is you.
Can't come back to this restaurant often enough!
Sat in semi circle booth... next to outside eating area. The light was out above us and was EXTREMELY dark. Asking our waiter Andrew fo another candle to help ... brought one but we were in darkness and could barely see each other. Those semi circular booths are NOT at all conducive for conversation with 5 people. There’s no way for everyone to join in a single conversation. I would never accept seating in that type of booth again. We met friends we hadn’t seen in 9 months and we all felt really bummed by this dinner experience.
Waiter Andrew was terrific!
Our waitress Jennifer was amazing! She made recommendations and not only showed us the nights special, but she went a step further and described each one! I wanted them all by the time she was finished. We never had to ask for anything because she paid attention to every detail at a distance without being annoying. We will be going back real soon and requesting
Very crowded they were behind on honoring reservation times. We had a 7:30 reservation didn’t sit until 8:05. Had to stand in very crowded lobby which wasn’t comfortable. We were pleased that they offered us appetizers to be ready when we sat . When we finally did sit waiter was attentive
Fabulous restaurant . Always consistent with food . Never disappointed . Our waiter , Anthony was excellent . Love how they serve martinis . Favorite dish is a half a chicken . Crispy on outside , moist center . This is our go to restaurant when we have friends visiting us from New York
We knew J Alexanders was a great spot for lunch so we decided to try it for dinner to celebrate our son's birthday. We were fortunate to get a reservation as it was quite busy. The food was excellent and the bar tender made a stiff drink. The service was impeccable. There was quite a line waiting to get in as we left and standing room only at the lively bar. Highly recommend and we will be back.
