   The food and the environment was wonderful. The food was brought out in a very timely manner, especially for how busy it was! The staff was friendly for the most part, the waiter we had was a bit rude but other than that it was a good experience.

   Have eaten here since they opened. We get 16oz prime rib for two every time. Eat here every 8-10 weeks. This last time the prime rib was good, not excellent like every other meal we've had here. It was not as flavorful or tender. Cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered. It was as if you are buying from a different meat vendor. An unusual layer of facia I've not seen before. Salads, loaded potato & sour dough bread were excellent. Had one "off" piece of prime rib some 10 plus years ago. I guess 2 out of 100 or more dinners is a good record.

   Dinner after golf. Food was great. I had steakburger and a glass of red wine. Couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

   The bar area stank like sewage. I think the restaurant as a problem with their sewer system.

   The staff was very friendly and offered suggestions when asked and discussed possible preferences in food and drink. The food was all extremely tasty and everyone was satisfied with the quality and portions. We enjoyed the booth we were in which made conversation very pleasant as the restaurant in general had a vibrant yet noisier din.

   In spite of the reservation we made thru open table, and in spite of many open tables available at the restaurant, we were seated at the bar.

    J Alexander’s is my favorite restaurant. The food, service and ambiance is incredible. I wish J Alexander’s would reopen back in the city.
