A lovely place. Excellent food and service. We have been several times and have never been disappointed.
I had reservations to get me a window seat to see the town center lights and buildings. This was done and we had a great team helping us. I enjoyed my bottle of wine and my date it was amazing !
The food was delicious and the server was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Had the chefs special. Ribeye. Flavor off the chart, service that is to be rivalled and I don't think overly expensive
Service was bad
The food, as usual, was fantastic. However, our foursome sat at a booth and, for one side of the booth, the distance from the seat to the table was far, and thus uncomfortable while eating. Since the tables and booths are bolted down, this could not be easily fixed. I recommend that the restaurant provide pillows, upon request, to fill the extra space and make for a more comfortable dining experience.
This one of our go-to places in Town Center. Nice atmosphere & good food. We had a great young lady as our server, Danielle. Just super - one of the best ever. We had a great booth in our favorite section of the restaurant. I had my usual, chicken fingers platter. Great chicken fingers!
My wife's special fish platter was not so good - not much taste and smothered in something. I let her have some of dinner - I felt sorry for her. All in all, a nice evening dinner experience.
Out excellent waiter, 1053 Parker, saved the evening for our group. I ordered the center cut Filet Mignon and it turned out to be to be a composite piece of meat formed to resemble
a perfectly normal steak and it was over cooked! I was about to send it back when two others in our party were expressing surprise at their completely Rare Rare prime rib that they
ordered Medium! They sent them back for addition cooking, but I was too discussed to anything but suggest we leave the restaurant as quickly as possible it is completely possible
that this establishment knew what they were doing and hoped their customers would not know what a fine steak should be!!!!
“ Fool me, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!” There will be NO second time!!!
My husband and I had a date night there. Making a reservation was fantastic! We got right in even 5 minutes early, while most people had a 40 mini year wait.
Food was delicious and portions were large. It was a bit pricey but worth the occasional visit. Would definitely recommend it!
Everyone one at our table loved their food from the 8 yr old to the 45 yr old. The side salad was one of the best I have had. The veggie burger was wonderful. We will forsure fo back next time we are in the area.
Was our first time dining at J Alexander's and to keep it short we will be coming for another visit!💯
Another satisfying visit! BBQ ribs are among the most fall off the bone tender I've ever had. Roasted brussell sprouts and NYO (not your ordinary) mac and cheese are a must have. Cocktails were mixed to perfection - kudos to the mixologist tending bar! Will be back again!
Loved my "Cilantro Shrimp"....beautiful presentation as shown in photo. My husband also enjoyed his Pasta with bay scallops, shrimp, etc. and our friend raved about the "Baked Shrimp with Crabmeat" special which was accompanied by a large portion of perfectly prepared broccoli. It was a Wednesday when martinis are a steal at $6.00 ....mine was a great " Lemon Drop ".
Birthday dinner with wife
This was my first visit to J. Alexander's and I was not disappointed. We were late to our reservation and they accommodated us without hesitation. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We sat and talked until 11:30 pm and no one rushed us or seemed annoyed that we were still there after closing hours. Will definitely be back.
Great food and service!
Amazing food, drinks, and service!
The food was delicious and the service very good!
It was good and enjoyable.
This is a hidden gem alright! The ambience is perfect for a date even in middle of afternoon. The drinks were great (904 and Doppleganger). Steak burger was cooked to perfection! Aside for shoestring fries being a tad too salty, it was a great lunch and we will return!
Awesome as always
Disappointed that there was no Calamari
Food is better than most restaurants. People friendly.
As vegetarian, glad they have an veggie platter.
This was my first time dining at J. Alexander's. The restaurant was not quiet but I was there on a Saturday night at 7 pm. The menu was very adequate. My Caesar salad was quite good. I shared it with my date and she raved abut the salad.
I ordered the Steak and Fries. It was the low end steak on the menu but, for $25.50, I expected a better quality cut of beef. It was well prepared. The size of the steak was also underwhelming., but it would probably be enough for many people. My date ordered the prime rib and she loved it.
We ordered the carrot cake for dessert. I was surprised that it was served warm but it was very tasty and big enough for two to share. My date had one glass of the house red wine and the bill for the two of us was $98. It was a good meal but not a $98 meal.
It was a nice place to take a date to impress her but I would not go there very often. It is a very short walk to other restaurants which have a very active and sophisticated bar scene.
My son’s filet was ordered medium rare, arrived rare (twice). All our entree salads were delivered well ahead of the dinner entrees. We were not charged for the filet, however, these mess ups tend to mess up the whole dining experience. Would not rush back.
I dine at J Alex often. Food is consistently good, and good service is very important to the staff. It shows, and it's good. The only issue is that for a fine dining establishment, the staff is always young which means that their exposure to the better things in dining (food and wine) is limited. They do their best, but sometimes I wish they would just let me order what I want, without comment. But they aim to please, so no worries about their work ethic.
The facility could use an update. It's too dark, somewhat worn....hard to explain but a redo is in order.
Great meeting place for out of town friends. Awesome service. “Knock your socks off” carrot cake.
Awesome waitress, great food and ambiance
I had the Alex salad and the Scottish salmon. Both were delicious. Food is always great at J Alexander’s.
We were there for a family birthday. Service was great Howard, steaks were cooked wrong not enough of the Maui sauce so we had to return one meal and it too extra time we didn’t intend on.
Service was excellent! Far exceeded recent service we experienced at Ruth Chris.
My favorite was the serving size. I would definitely come back because I got the amount for my money's worth.
Birthday dinner for my fiancé
Great time and food as always. Out of town guest was impressed with the food.
The wait staff was VERY understanding of my food phobia of mayonnaise; when I order a veggie burger (it come with mayo). I didn’t read the I the menu closely. I was given a another burger and I truly appreciate it... I LOVE J ALEXANDER!!!! Truly my FAVORITE place......😊
Great place for a Sunday lunch. Great menu options, I personally like their Ahi Tuna Steak grilled to perfection. My wife loves the Steak and Fries, also grilled to taste and the fries are awesome! Very good selection of wines or drinks. Great service to complete the day.
We went for a girls night out and has a great time.
J’s has a great atmosphere, food prep is fast, and the food and service are both excellent.
The first baked potato was cold. I sent it back and they brought me a new hot one. The broccoli was old and gross but I wasn’t very hungry so I didn’t care.
