My son and I had a 6:45 p.m. reservation for outdoor seating and were seated at a very nice table next to a heat lamp, which was perfectly comfortable. We both had the New York steak with fries, and my son chose brussels sprouts (which were excellent), and I opted for broccoli (good but not as good as the sprouts). He opened with a nice shrimp cocktail and I had the house salad which had a yummy apple cider vinaigrette dressing. All in all a fine evening.

they've done a great job with their outdoor dining setup - heaters, blankets, and fairy lights make it so nice to eat outside. Noise was manageable, and food was delicious. Great service.

There is no better outdoor dining area in SF - they created a beautiful parklet. The food is wonderful, service top notch and I would definitely recommend this spot. We went for lunch to enjoy the sunny day but they are also well equipped for dinner with heat lamps.

My husband and I started our meal with the oysters with envy sauce. Outstanding!!! We followed that with steaks...NY strip grilled and petite filet grilled. Very good! We both ordered the creamed spinach and potato. The spinach was not as we remember. It was a bit too heavy with, I am guessing, nutmeg. We were anticipating the smooth, creamy spinach dish with a mild cream spinach taste and not an overload of spice. Also, when the reservation was made, it was noted that we were celebrating our anniversary; however no one at Izzy's noted that. Our dinner came and went without any mention of a Happy Anniversary. Too bad. It seemed they were really rushing their diners in and out to make space for more. Guess COVID has done that to restaurants.

This was our first time to Izzy's. The staff was very kind and attentive. We had a great time;0)

Great food & great ambiance (the outdoor dining set up was very nice). Our server was mediocre, rushed us during the ordering process and seemed generally bothered he had to wait on us. However, the friendliness & service we got from everyone else - other service staff, busboys & the restaurant manager was great. We will go again, but will request to be seated in another section if this particular person is working that day.

Izzy’s waitstaff has the wonderful old fashioned professionalism that is hard to find these days. They are knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly hard working.
The food is very consistent. The drinks are great. I think the current outdoor ambiance is even bette than inside! A fave spot all around.

Asked for rare prime rib....tough as nails, very well done was served to us. Didn’t send it back because we were hungry and hate to waste food.

Very cute but not enough distancing - there were other patrons seated 2 feet away on either side of us. It made my family very uncomfortable to take our masks off being that close, so we decided to order our food for take away. Very cute space though - we would go back if the tables are not as crowded together.

Though we were disappointed at first that the advertised Valentine’s Day menu was not available, we were delighted to order off the whole menu. Wedge salad superb, skirt steak and prime rib were delicious and sides were good. Beer and wine list were generally good. Waitstaff were a bit slow but cheerful. Overall, nice experience for a special occasion.

It was our first time visiting Izzy's. Everything was great , even though we visited during the pandemic it was still a lovely experience. They gave us blankets and hand warmers to keep us cozy and warm. My husband and I plan on visiting Izzy's again, after the pandemic

Food felt like it had been batch cooked and not individually prepared. Not the best experience I’ve had here

A perfect night! The food at Izzy’s is incredible and the service is even better! We came on my birthday for outdoor dining. We brought our puppy and they were so accommodating they even treated our pup like a king! They were incredibly attentive without being overwhelming, and they gave a few complimentary pieces of meat to our dog. We all had a fantastic dinner, from the wine, to the prime rib, to the birthday crème brûlée and complimentary limoncello. Ask for Leon, he is hands down the best server I’ve had at any restaurant anywhere. Truly a fantastic birthday, thank you Izzy’s!!

Great outdoor dining experience! Hopefully SF will allow outdoor dining to continue in certain restaurant zones.

Fantastic experience — we had had some mixups the previous time we visited Izzys but they made it up to us and more. They accommodated severe allergies thoughtfully, making fantastic substitutions to make sure we had the full izzys experience.

Everything from the Ribeyes to the sides (I’ve never had Brussels sprouts as good as theirs) to the apps (get the shrimp!) to the drinks were exceptional.

We will be back as soon as we can!

Izzy's San Francisco has the best outdoor dining venue in the Chestnut Street area. They obviously spent the extra dollars for first class tenting and heating. They are getting results--the place was full all evening. Besides, the meal was also outstanding.

Izzy's has done an amazing job with their outdoor parklet. In fact it's the nicest in which I have had a meal thus far in San Francisco!

The food and service were just average. The key lime pie had a terrible crust and tasted more like sugar than key lime. This is not a restaurant I would return to, nothing special. My one positive, the calamari was good.

Our waitress was great, I believe her name was Katie. The food was very good with my prime rib being cooked perfectly.

Everything was great. Food, service, timing etc. prime rib was delicious.

The food was delicious. I definitely recommend it, but don’t take your kids. No kids menu.

We had a lovely time at Izzy's new outdoor setup! We made sure to book in advance and were placed right next to one of the heaters outdoors. Our server was extremely friendly and kind.

The ambience with the elegant clear tent set up and music and our wonderful server Adriana - delivered exceptional service. I ordered the marinated steak which was super juicy, perfect as was the Ribeye my sister ordered. Creme brûlée and pumpkin cheesecake were delicious-
I am sorry in advance for misspelling - Ivor the host provided excellent service as well.
Each table has a heater/light lamp. We will be back!

We we're blessed with good weather, so the outdoor dining experience was pleasant. The food and service was excellent. Covid-19 restrictions obviously changes the ambiance. This section of Steiner was allowed to close for restaurant seating.
The atmosphere was friendly and festive. We enjoyed the experience.
