Delicious…all of it. Best sake selection we’ve seen. The wait staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable and you could tell they enjoyed their work and loved to share about the food and sake. Lovely experience for our anniversary.

Restaurant was a well designed and interesting Japanese restaurant. The food was delicious and it was warm and welcoming. The barbecued pork ribs were the best I’ve ever had. Drinks were delicious and SERVICE was excellent.

We can’t stay away from this place! The servers are ready to help you find your favorite dishes and drinks. Personally I can’t get enough of the eggplant plate and mushroom plate. But whatever your tastes, mix and match the offerings for wonderful meals at each visit. Really fairly priced too

Enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving meal. I especially loved the silky roasted butternut squash & curry soup with a touch of lobster on top. Divine! Chef Kiko is a master. Our meal would have been much better if our server hadn’t been in such a rush. We ordered cocktails first & were immediately informed that the cocktails would take some time. We told our server that was ok we were in no rush. It would have been nice to sip & enjoy a cocktail first but that didn’t happen. I had informed the restaurant days prior to our arrival that my husband had a cinnamon allergy but somehow the server who was informed thought it was me. We asked him to find out before we ordered what items on the thanksgiving menu contained cinnamon but he still didn’t know when he came back to take our order. We were informed of cinnamon in the pork midway through the first course & cinnamon just prior to dessert course in the Apple tart which neither of us ordered. 1st course came out before the cocktails arrived. I had ordered soup but he brought me a salad. That went back & soup quickly arrived. He brought the bottle of saki we ordered. Cocktails came out near the end of the 1st course. I was halfway through my soup when he came & announced he was going to “fire the entrees”. I told him please wait 10 to 15 more minutes before doing that. Then while we were eating our entrees he came by to inform us he “had dessert ready for us”. Once again I told him we were only halfway through our entree. His response “I didn’t want you to forget and eat too much”. We ordered 2 pecan tarts. He shows up with a pecan & an apple. Of a limited three course meal with 2 people he ordered the wrong items twice from my order. The check came while I was halfway through dessert & we both had more than half a cocktail left, never asked if we wanted anything else. We were finished before the 3 top next to us who were seated before us & had the same menu were even finished with dessert & empty tables all around.

We've been to Izanami many times and it's usually great. The special Thanksgiving Day meal wasn't their best day. The food was very good, but service was very slow and left us sitting and waiting for long stretches of time. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to come to our table the first time. He took our cocktail order, told us the bartender was backed up, and we waited about another 20 minutes for our drinks. We ordered wine before our entrees were served, but didn't receive our wine until we were nearly finished with the entrees. This was occurring while staff paid significantly more attention to the table of seven next to us, as one of those customers was clearly known to the staff. He ordered a cocktail from the manager, who promptly delivered it to the table a few minutes later. Why did we just wait 20 minutes to get our drinks? We felt ignored throughout the meal and were ready to leave after nearly two hours in the restaurant to eat three courses. We'll go back - it's normally great - but won't do the holiday specials again.

We went for an alternative Thanksgiving early dinner. I greatly appreciate having their regular menu available since I’m vegetarian and love everything on their menu. Our waiter as always was knowledgeable and thoughtful. We loved our meal. Being patient is key during the holidays when staff is rushed.

Prix fixe meal for Thanksgiving was excellent! The sides were delicious: especially the brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. The pecan pie tarlet was beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. We plan to return in the future.

A pretty regular, booked a month ago with a specific set up to sit at a booth seating and it ruined our whole experience today completely, meanwhile there was a booth table that was completely empty right behind us from the moment we sat and until we left. Really disappointing.

We had an amazing meal in Thanksgiving day. All the food was perfectly cooked and the servers were attentive without hovering. The building is a beautiful piece of Japanese architecture. The sake menu was very impressive too and we enjoyed our sake flight. Highly recommend visiting and eating here.

I love Izanami, and this experience was lacking, unfortunately. Perhaps it was because I was dining alone... I felt deprioritized and even though I'd made a reservation I had to wait to be seated (after later reservations than mine) and also waited a long time for my food. When it came, the order wasn't correct. I'm not sure what was going on, but there was whistling and one very loud voice seemingly directing folks. Not a problem, and also noticeable while dining. I don't like to complain, and I feel it's important that you know about my experience. Maybe it will serve.

Pork ribs, tofu age and broccolini are excellent, onigiri was disappointing, wild mushrooms over salted, karaage overcooked and fried oysters were subpar. Service however was pretty decent and the ambience and property was beautiful

Great experience all around. Good selection of Japanese whiskey. Like the style of small plates to get a taste of several different things. The gyoza with mole was a deliciously odd combo of flavor. Sushi was fresh and well prepared. Will definitely be back!

I usually love Izanami but it was an odd evening. We received a few sushi items that each end of the table (we had 7 people that parts of came at different times) thought the other had ordered. As soon as we realized none of us had ordered them, we told a couple of servers or maybe they were food runner/waitstaff support of some kind, in any case it wasn’t our main server but they acknowledged what we told them and then left. I thought to talk to our server. The server didn’t say anything though and neither did they. We thought maybe they just left them because you’d have to throw it away or something. I acknowledge we could have clarified but honestly we didn’t see the server much and we’re there to celebrate not to figure it out for them. They ended up charging us for the sushi plates we didn’t order. We tried to talk to them about it and they only discounted the dishes 50% and one of the servers or whatever even said they didn’t remember us telling them! Anyway, it was upsetting, I totally get that mix ups happen and obviously there were miscommunications but they should have removed those items from our bill. It left a bad taste in my mouth and was really disappointing. I likely won’t go back for some time, which is sad because it is tasty and beautiful there!

We love Izanami and choosing a series of dishes from their menu. Most recently, those items included a flight of goodbye sake, gomae and grilled hachimi from the specials, as well as tofu age, Japanese mushrooms with bean sprouts, and wagyu short ribs from the regular menu. Yuzu brulee for dessert, with a glass of yuzu sake.

We had the Bento Boxes one chicken and the other tofu. The chicken was a little dry, the tofu light and heavenly. We added 2 other dishes as sides mushrooms and the Shrimp tempura both delightfully. Yes, we topped off our dinner with desserts both which were light and yummy.
