Outstanding quality, reasonable prices, great service - absolutely wonderful experience!
The food and service were good, but the elevator was broken and I am disabled!!! It was very difficult to walk from the 3RD floor to the basement. Going up was almost impossible.
Probably for Happy hour, regular dinning is below average (pricing & food)
Another great night with a friend at Fuga! We ate ad much as we wanted and drank with reasonably priced menus :)
Really fresh fish, great variety of vegetable dishes, and good sake list. The service was fast and pleasant--wonderful evening!
It was lit.
Really nice fish, beef, pork, poultry and vegetable dishes. Everything is served tapas style so you can enjoy many great flavors. The only knock was that our server kept ignoring us even though we wanted to order more dishes. The saving grace is that we were able to flag down other servers to place our orders.
Enjoyed Saturday night outing with a friend at Fuga. Always great food with nice atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks :)
Everything about this restaurant was wonderful, other than the food portions, which were quite small, for the price paid. Expect to pay between $120 to $160, including one cocktail and a median bottle of wine, plus tax and tip, for a "couples date".
Great food, service and ambiance! Highly recommended!
This was a new food experience, hadn't tried the Izakaya "tapas" style Japanese cuisine. Everything was very good, and the atmosphere was both modern and very comfortable. Would definitely return when in downtown LA/Little Tokyo.
Lunch was great, salmon was fantastic, loved the spicy tuna roll. Overall experience was great, I'd recommend this to friends, colleagues and co-workers. I expect nothing but the best when I dine and Fu-ga and they never let me down. Thank you for the great wait-staff, they're always super-courteous and efficient.
Its hidden in the basement with no signage to show where it is. But when you go down the stairs its a relief. Good ambience and great food. Must try the dessert.
Visited for the first time and liked it. Food was great although the service was a little spotty and not really helpful for us especially since it was our first time.
Food is great. Beer is fresh. Ambiance is nice.
Bachelorette party dinner
I always love going to Fu-ga. Great atmosphere with nice food, and servers are all nice and helpful!
First time I've visited this restaurant in 6 - years that I have a complaint. The spinach/artichoke dip was flavorless and was watery and the fried calamari was old and tough to chew.
This restaurant has been a very reliable place to eat lunch in the Little Tokyo area.
Wonderful find in Little Tokyo.
Tip: You can park in the building for $6 at dinner time. The restaurant validates your ticket and then the attendant refunds your $6.
Wow! Great sashimi salad! This was incredible end to a great day!
Had a get-together with a few friends and initially made a reservation for four. More friends decided to show up and our party grew to seven, and the wait staff were extremely gracious and accommodating with our last minute additions. The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend this place for dinner with friends or for a nice date night.
My husband and I went there for the first time on Saturday 2/18. Food, service and ambiance were on point! Can't wait to dine there again!
Really fun wth good food and ambiance
Reservation for a birthday, they do birthday ice cream at the end. We ordered a ton of dishes and all were executed well. However, since we were a party of 8, the plating was a bit of a problem, given our table size. For izakaya portion dishes, the plates were much too large to be practical. We scrambled every time a new dish would come out. However, the dishes came out quickly, service was on top of everything and very helpful. We were able to nab one of the more "private" booth rooms, which was nice, so we could focus on conversation without being surrounded by the rest of the patrons. Had a lovely evening! Thanks.
Food was good, especially the miso sea bass. Servers were polite but not very warm. Overall good place for Japanese Izakaya cuisine.
Fast, very accommodating service. Excellent wait staff.
A very enjoyable location close and convenient. The food is great.
Excellent experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the small plates format; it allows you to sample many things and still keep the budget in check. The restaurant is underground and has a very "chillax" vibe. I was in a group of 5 and they seated us in a C-shape banquette with closable curtains. The menu standout for me was the 6oz ribeye steak -- it's served on a hot plate with hot stones to keep it warm. Excellent flavor and texture. As an added bonus, they validate two hours of free parking in the accompanying parking garage so it's a great place to start your DTLA adventure.
Great food and service! Always a favorite. The lunch bento is a great deal!
If customers are expected to order only from the lunch menu during lunch time, there should be more food choices, instead of just 1 bento box and 1 steak plate.
Food came out cold.
Absolutely delightful traditional Japanese restaurant in downtown L.A. perfect miso glazed sea bass. Perfect short grain brown rice. Exceptionally efficient and friendly hostess. Fun place.
Took my coworkers and boss' for Boss' Day and we had a great time! Was local/walking distance, great ambiance, food and service. Would recommend for all occasions. Thank you for impressing my coworkers :-)
Food is great ! Nice ambiance and friendly staff! Great happy hour, this venue is becoming one of my go to spots.
The service was VERY slow and the entire wait staff was not very attentive. Everyone was moving like a robot. It took forever for our waitress to take our order.
Overall the food was good. But due to the poor service I'm not sure I will return.
The food is always delicious but the standouts are the spicy cod roe spaghetti, the sashimi salad and the brown rice risotto. I love that they offer yuzu sake.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in L.A. -- I love the small plates, designed for sharing, and the service is always wonderful. In particular, the waitress, K.K. is delightful. I look forward to returning.
My husband and I have dined at Fu-Ga around 6 or 7 times and the food is consistently good. We had a reservation for 3 people for 8:15 p.m. on a Saturday night (made via Open Table) and ended up waiting at the bar for about 25 minutes before our table was available. The kitchen was backed up so it took a while for the food to come out this time. Also, the waitresses were not as attentive as usual and it took about 20 minutes before my second glass of wine arrived. Normally, service is a lot better. Our friend was new to Fu-Ga that evening and enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Pleasant place with friendly waitresses, quick seating, and really fresh fish - the yellowtail was spectacular
