   I enjoyed the food, but unfortunately my overall dining experience was subpar due to the rude and unprofessional waitstaff (except for one server who was exceptionally attentive and personable). Everyone from the hostess to the servers created an uncomfortable atmosphere during the quiet lunch hour. This restaurant may have the Katsuya brand attached to it, but be forewarned that it does not live up to the standards of other Katsuya restaurants . In the future I will be enjoying my miso cod and crispy rice spicy tuna at another location.

   Some of the best (if not THE best?) sushi we've ever had. The specials were all incredible, artfully cut, and balanced in flavor & texture. We had a dungeness crab roll that blew our minds. Also, our server--a young fellow named Bruno--was tremendous. Speedy but well-paced when necessary, kind and upbeat. Last note is that when we walked in the door we were mildly surprised that the somewhat modest space would live up to the reviews we'd read online & heard from friends... but the food & service were undeniably top-notch. Could not recommend this place more.

   The sushi is always high quality and delicious. Tends to have high turnover so it's noisy but a great place for quality sushi in a trendy area without paying trendy prices

   Having been to original Katsuya in the valley many times I expected that at least the dishes they have become known for would be good. I was wrong ! The crispy rice spicy tuna was soggy and barely cooked on the bottom. This was very surprising. Next was the seared tuna with mustard. The mustard should have accented the flavor and not been a huge amount to over power the dish. We could eat it and left it uneaten We finally had to get the bill and go across the street to eat the rest of our dinner This must be where katsuya trains its chefs before they can go to one of their real restaurants I would sincerely say stay away

   The sushi and sashimi here is amazing. The beef dishes are good too. It's often crowded but worth the wait. The sliders are good but quite large, with an order of two - I would prefer just one to save room for more fish! Great neighborhood place.

   The food delivery was spaced out over 30 minutes. Food delivery came about every 5 minutes with someone's meal. No one in my party of 4 ate at the same time. Then rice was delivered about 10 minutes after we finished our meal. The waiter never checked in to ask if we needed additional drinks or if all was ok. The food was great and the service nice but may have been overworked.

   Two long tables of Japanese business men. You know the sushi is good! Heather terrific waitress. Entire staff very welcoming and helpful.

    One of my local favorites and I'm sad when I have to go to another sushi spot. The creamy Shrimp tempura on Spicy Tuna roll is the best roll ever. Sushi is always fresh and top grade compare to other sushi restaurants. Make sure you book a reservation in advance as it does get packed. Favorite Dishes: spicy Tuna on crispy rice, miso cod, tuna with crispy onions, toro tasting
