We notified the restaurant we had a party of 10 for a high school graduation party. The service was very slow and had to hound them to clear off the table between each service. We got there at 5:30 and didn't finish until 8 pm. We have been here before with smaller parties and enjoyed it very much. Perhaps they have a hard time with larger party sizes and also seem to be short staffed on Sundays, their peak days are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Took my Wife and kids to Ivy's for her Birthday dinner. Made reservations although they were not necessary on a Wednesday evening. Ordered drinks, appetizer and dinner. I got the Seafood Pappardelle and the shrimps were overcooked. After eating I went to the washroom and on the way back I talked to the owner. I told him the shrimps were overcooked and too firm. He asked if I'd like a new serving or another dish and I said I had had enough. He asked if he could do anything 'special' for us and I said, "No, I don't want anything special. I just thought you would like to know. That's all." Ten minutes later he comes to our table with our server and announces to the table that 'this gentleman was not satisfied with his meal' and that he'd like to do something "special" for dessert. He Embarrassed me in front of my guests by doing exactly what I had asked him Not to do. Then the server asked me what was wrong with my meal and I told her I took care of it with the owner. Then she leaned over, got right in my face and said, "No. I'm a manager here and I need to know." That's when my wife stepped in and said the shrimp were overcooked. - - - Lesson here seems to be, if there's something wrong with your food, Don't say anything unless you want it to escalate. No Discretion. Now I will vote with my feet and Never Return.

Very night restaurant with interesting decor. I especially liked the old stained glass! The food and drinks were great. Will definitely be back!

Delicious food, excellent service and it was a treat to have the owner come to our table to say hello. Plus, we got to sit in the same room as the Pope sat when he visited a while back.

Absolutely love the ambiance and food. I think the menu has great choices and isn't too big or too small. The seafood pappardell pasta is to die for! And I'm not even a pasta person. Great big chunks of seafood and lobster. So so good.

What a wonderful dinner experience to celebrate my husband’s birthday! From the warmth of the fireplace on a cold, wet dreary day to the welcoming smile of our server, Traci, to a fresh out of the oven loaf of bread, then delicious crab cakes to whet our appetite, then on to full slabs of bbq ribs, followed by a complimentary birthday dessert of creme brûlée and birthday wishes from Dick, the owner, the birthday could not have been better!! Thank you to all the Ivy staff.

Great local fine dining place in the heart of downtown Wheaton. We have loved coming to Ivy for years and recently celebrated our wedding anniversary here together. The food, service and ambiance were up to our expectations as usual.
