Food was not as good as last visit. We had the Ribeye this time.
We went for the German food. Not impressed.
The Ivy never disappoints! My filet was grilled perfectly, the waiter was attentive, pace appropriate. My dining guests enjoyed their meals too and our desserts were fabulous. The Ivy is truly a gem of a dining experience. Try it out, you’ll become a frequent flyer like me!
Being there on a Monday evening it wasn't very busy and consequently quiet. We have been there when it was a busy and there was a higher noise level.
I was disappointed they were out of the Lake Michigan perch(we were told it is a seasonal item) but the salmon was very good.
The food was excellent, as always. Josh was our server and was great. Dick (again) played matchmaker and my wife met a woman she hadn't seen since high school. We love IVY and recommend it to everyone. We brought a couple - their 1st time- and Kay McKeen knew the wife! The Night Hawks are a great band. We loved the evening and can't wait to get back.

Wedding luncheon with small children very frustrating having to chase down waiter over and over again for water menus food refills updates on late food and chasing down for the bill. Food was barely warm. Didn’t make the occasion special.
Food was flavorful and a decent wine selection; 1/2 price bottles of wine on Tuesdays that is terrific!
Beautiful place; great food. We ate outside on a warm evening and it was excellent. Good service.
Such a beautiful place, love the stained glass window! Food was wonderful. The people working there were all great. Only negative was they sat us back by the kitchen😕. Maybe they could add a curtain or a partition there. Another big plus was they have a lot of gluten free items on the menu.
Everything was great! Food was amazing, one of the best steaks I had. Service was good and the place looks very nice.
We came during lunch/brunch time on Sunday. Service was very slow. Wait staff seemed preoccupied with a group upstairs. The atmosphere this time was not welcoming at all. No one smiled as they passed. Food was descent although porrions seemed smaller than I was accustomed. All in all a very mediocre dinning experience.
Very disappointing. Bland steak, white fish was not good. Bread pudding was cold in the middle. Clearly frozen and thawed. Server was nice, but very green and didn’t know much. Very surprised at how average it was. Will never go back.
Great food and environment. We have eaten there several times and it has become our special occasion restaurant. Dress code is casual and environment is comfortable to go along with the great food. I have had seafood, jambalaya and steak in our visits and each has been exceptional.
Very nice restaurant! Was there on a Friday evening and there was a band playing outside. We asked to be seated inside so we could talk. Very crowded so it was noisy but not too noisy that we couldn’t hear one another speak.
Our waitress was excellent! Knew how to leave us be and when to check in!
Food was excellent!
I would recommend to anyone for any occasion!
Visiting Ivy and having a meal there is always fun. The service and food were very good, as usual. Very friendly and professional staff, along with flavorful meals and delightful wine. Noise level high, but tolerable.
The pepper shrimp as an appetizer is great. I had the white fish with fruit salsa, which the fruit salsa did not work. It was strawberries and mint on the fish. I wasn’t a fan but fish was good..crab cakes are always good here.
Lovely chapel-like interior in an ivy-covered building in downtown Wheaton. Salmon dish, a longtime favorite, lived up to its reputation. Petit filet with shrimp also good. Complimentary birthday treat.
Superb in everything! The setting is like no other in all of Chicagoland
Our server was great appreciated her attention
The last two times we’ve visited Ivy, we’ve been disappointed. We usually order the truffle burger cooked medium. Our orders keep coming out over cooked. The truffle mayo is hardly noticeable and the amount of fries is disappointing. The burger used to be much better than this.
Bit of a let down. Service was rushed. Entrees came out before apps were done. Fish came out cold. Just not what you'd expect at this type of restaurant. Food was ok, not great.
Spilled wine at table and waitress made no effort to help or even offer to get a refill or half a glass.
Hardly ever saw waitress.
Been there before. It was good but not
Outstanding. I ordered the Brie appetizer. The toast it is served with is much too large and I wasnt able to either break it apart by hand or cut it with my knife. It was also drizzled with raspberry sauce which got all over my hands while i was trying to do so. My son’s steak looked cooked perfectly to his order. This is a nicer restaurant and as such I dont believe the term”value” applies. It is a gorgeous venue.
Great outdoor seating . Perfect food and service. There is nothing on the menu that we have tried and not liked.
Typically great - on this day food - appetizer and some of our guest dishes - were luke warm ; party of 6 - restaurant nit busy either at the time .
Our food took for ever to come out from the kitchen. Our waiter even commented about the almost hour wait. The restaurant wasn't that crowded not sure what the problem was
We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Tony, our server was terrific, helpful and smiling. The food, as always was delicious. Three people had fish, and raved, I had the ribs - they were tender and good. This is wonderful gem in Wheaton, with the bonus of outside seating. We had reservations and were seated promptly.
The space is very nice, being in an old church. There seemed to be a shortage of staff in the kitchen the night we were there, which caused our wait time for dinner to be exceedingly long and couple items not prepared as asked. The food was just alright and overpriced for the portion size. There were 6 of us in our party and no one was overly impressed. I would give it another try since there was an obvious staff shortage that night, but if the same results next time then I won't return again.
We told our waitress we needed to be out for an event by a certain time and she met it to the minute. Excellent food, lovely ambiance and very helpful service. It is pricey, but well worth it for the overall experience. Love this place.
Always our favorite place to visit! Fun place, great food, superb service!!! Thanks for a wonderful place to enjoy friends!
My friends and I frequent the Ivy. always a good experience with very good and reliable food and service. Waitress rushed us a bit to order, but we are chatters, so I understand !
Nice place, but over all not worth the price. Much better options, with better food on the same street.
Beet and goat cheese salad is the best! Great location for upscale lunch..
The rib eye was cooked correctly but was not as juicy and tender as I would expect for a $45 steak. The candle on our table was never lit, even though early in our evening we asked for it to be. The service was attentive for the most part, though water glasses became empty half way through the meal and no one offered to fill them.
Great Anniversary dinner- wonderful service! Food was yummie!
Wife and celebrated our anniversary at Ivy on a Saturday night. We ordered the baked brie for an appetizer. The brie was good but the jam on the toasted bread was overpowering. The jam should be on the side. My scallops over rice with balsamic glaze were very good but the rice was very mushy. The sauce was perfect. My wife had the salmon which was touch overdone and dry. For dessert, I order a scoop of the vanilla gelato which was perfect and a scoop of the chocolate gelato which was gritty. My wife confirmed the grittiness, not sure if they didn't dissolve all the cocoa powder.
The service was awesome and the setting was great. They have a nice wine list by the bottle and the glass. We both left there with a "meh" feeling that the food was good but nothing great.
Food was great, service was mediocre at best.
