Ivy Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Do not waste a date night on this restaurant. When you walk it smells like popcorn from look cinema, then you are treated as second priority to the people ordering to go food to watch a movie at the cinema. The food, drinks and ambiance are all sub par yet two entries and two drinks a piece later your bill is over $100. Do yourself a favor and go to a Kennys instead for this kind of price, or if you can't get a reservation just go to Coal Vines right next to Ivy, it is much much better.
Our party of 5 enjoyed brunch this past Sunday on the patio at Ivy Kitchen. Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the Southest Scramble and my husband had the crab Benedict. We dipped on the carafe of peach mimosa and I had the blueberry Mule. We also thought the complimentary waffle bites were very tasty. Pur waitress was very nice and extremely attentive.
This restaurant is very convenient for us, and they have valet parking which is nice. We had a pasta special for dinner. It came with breaded chicken so I asked if mine could be grilled instead of breaded. She said she would check. We didn’t hear back but both of our meals had grilled chicken. It was fine, but not what we had ordered. Other than that, everything was very good.
One negative for me is that they don’t offer any kind of bread. I like bread with my meals.
I met a friend here for brunch and we really enjoyed it! The menu is great and service was wonderful. I ordered the Ivy Crab Cake Benedict and it was to die for - whoever thought of adding creamed spinach to an eggs benedict is a genius! I will certainly be back soon.
The food was delicious and the waiter was great. He did knock over an entire beer into my husbands lap but he took care of us and accidents happen. My husband was a lil chilly in the movie after dinner but all in all great food and there was a singer between ivy kitchen and coal vines that was amazing
We loved every single thing we ordered. I had the sushi (better than any sushi I've had in texas!) My husband had the beef stroganoff and loved it. We had the stuffed jalapeños and cheesy bread for apps (cheesy bread was a nightly special) and both were absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Randy, was more than helpful and super sweet!! We're going back asap.
Not many choices for vegetarians.
I asked for a particular salad but without the meat, still charged full price.
The salad was very good, but a reduction in price would have made it better value.
The Humus and Vegetable plate was delicious, great appetizer.
Extensive wine list.
Service was very good, made to feel welcome right away, my table was ready and waiting when I arrived.
Early in the evening. Salad and a burger/glass of wine
Food was very good--Ahi Tuna salad had lots of perfect rare pieces with wonderful seasoning. Generously sized.
Burger was cooked as requested to medium rare and was seasoned. Wine--Happy Hour house Chardonnay was good.
Side of Cole slaw was very dry--barely any dressing, and bland. My husband hated it.
Loved this place! Met some girlfriends for dinner. Awesome atmosphere we sat out on patio not hot and there was a one man band music entertainer pretty good.
Great food can't wait to go back.
Smoked brisket queso rocked! We also had the brussel sprouts they were awesome and a couple of sushi rolls- rainbow roll & dragon rolls. Very good. The wine was good to .
We went on a Thursday night and had the place basically to ourselves. That made it lovely for conversation, but the room has the acoustics that would make it problematic if there were a lot more people. The wait staff were friendly and helpful and the food was well prepared.
We've always had great experiences here. Unfortunately this time around the chicken sandwich came out pink in the center and our sweet potato fries with my burger had a black hair in them. I'm a redhead. I get that things happen. We made the mistake of not saying anything as we were half way done with our meal when I found the hair and my boyfriend found the pink center of his sandwich. We just wanted to pay and leave. If there's a next time, we'll speak up if we see something but probably not go back.
