Restaurant is very pretty inside and the food for brunch was pretty good, nothing special. My biggest complaint was my server. It seemed like he was rushing us. I was with 2 other guests and two of us were still actively eating when he asked if we wanted boxes and our check. He seemed annoyed we were still there although the place wasn’t busy at all and it was about 1pm. Maybe he’d had a rough day the day before (this was Sunday after the st Patrick’s day parade)
I would return and hope for a different server. Also when he brought he check he dropped it on a plate of half finished food we were planning on taking
Smokehouse Flatbread was just OK (thin and somewhat lacking in flavor). Tenderloin Beef Stroganoff was too sweet (Allspice?), and the Chicken Scaloppine special was just average. The onion rings that were on special did not appear to be made in house which was disappointing. The Iron Skillet Brussels Sprouts were excellent, as was the Smoked Old Fashioned. Decent place but room for improvement.
Sat at the bar with a friend and we received great service. BBQ flatbread was enough for 2 meals and wine selection excellent. I’ll be back.
Both service and food are mediocre at best. Made a reservation for dinner after a movie at LOOK and headed there afterwards. My friend and I were set at a four top and when we requested a booth that was empty we were told it was reserved...ok, perhaps. Then we turn around and three other two tops are sat a even larger booths. A little confusing to say the least.
Our server seemed super nervous and as if he wasn’t sure how to serve us...maybe serving two women makes a guy nervous. He disappeared a few times during the meal and we were left asking for additional drinks rather than being offered. Food wasn’t hot when brought to the table, and the meal was wrapped up after another server took our plates and our original server gave us our check. We were never asked about dessert nor another drink - of which we wanted both. So we asked and got a puzzled look of, “wait what?” Maybe miscommunication between he and the other server...maybe.
Either way the food didn’t make up for it. Disappointing at best.
Awesome experience! The Crab Benedict was fantastic.
I have been here several times it is really good, except this last visit the Parm chicken was very dry.
IVY Kitchen is a great spot in Addison. They have a lovely menu selection and great location.
Rather unpleasant dining experience, and we will not go again.
Good experience overall but we were at a small folding table...
Everything was fine - my tuna salad was not too impressive - it was the second time I ordered it and the first time a few months ago was much better and fresher- it was - kinda blah. Brussle Sprouts were good- waiter was very attentive and friendly.
Really great food, great staff.
We love The Ivy. It is a delight to have such a great restaurant at our favorite movie theater - Look Cinema! Food is always consistent.
PORTIONS WERE GOOD AND HEALTHY IN SIZE! FOOD TASTED GREAT. DID NOT DRINK ALCOHOL BUT BAR & WINE ROOM LOOKED LIKED IT OFFERS NUMEROUS SELECTIONS.
Great place, actually a surprise at how good it was. I definitely will come back and I have already recommended it to friends.
We went on Christmas Day, we had a reservation and we were promptly seated when we arrived. Our waitress was very pleasant and the food was at our table about 10 mins after ordering which we didn't expect since they were so busy. Not only did the food come out quickly, but it was hot and tasted amazing!! We had the classic burger, the jumbo shrimp, and the cajun pasta, all of which was very much satisfying. We will definitely be back!
The food and service here were again very good on our second visit to this restaurant. Everyone at out table was very pleased.
Great restaurant, amazing food for a very reasonable price. It was my 4th or 5th time there and I definitely will be back again.
Birthday dinner with my parents. My Cajun Pasta was excellent. My Dad’s Beef stroganoff, not so much. I left my Birthday card with presents inside. I called and they already had it safe for me in Managers office. So grateful for their honesty and care. Oh, and the Sticky Chocolate Cake was awesome.
Mini Family reunion. Great food and Great service
Great girl’s brunch! The service was great and the food was yummy. You much try the brussell sprouts and the crab Mac and cheese. You will not be disappointed. Go and enjoy!!
The food is always delicious and they specials on the board. Our server disappeared but someone else got us drink refill.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. I've never seen it very busy at all for the lunch crowd. It's easy to get a large (6 or more) group reservation. The service is outstanding. The food is mouth watering good. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's attached to the movie theater behind it so you can even order food from Ivy Kitchen for your movie date! The only think I noticed about this place that might be off putting to some is the fact that there's a hint of buttered popcorn smell when you first walk in and it's a little chilly inside. But those minor things won't stop me from making this my first choice for group lunch! The current special: chicken scallopini - is TO DIE FOR!
The food was not great. (4 of us each felt that our meals were just meh)
Service was slow. (no one refilled water or tea)
cute place. nice patio. not bad for a bar.
Great upscale casual place. Reasonable prices, good food , friendly staff.
Do not waste a date night on this restaurant. When you walk it smells like popcorn from look cinema, then you are treated as second priority to the people ordering to go food to watch a movie at the cinema. The food, drinks and ambiance are all sub par yet two entries and two drinks a piece later your bill is over $100. Do yourself a favor and go to a Kennys instead for this kind of price, or if you can't get a reservation just go to Coal Vines right next to Ivy, it is much much better.
Our party of 5 enjoyed brunch this past Sunday on the patio at Ivy Kitchen. Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the Southest Scramble and my husband had the crab Benedict. We dipped on the carafe of peach mimosa and I had the blueberry Mule. We also thought the complimentary waffle bites were very tasty. Pur waitress was very nice and extremely attentive.
This restaurant is very convenient for us, and they have valet parking which is nice. We had a pasta special for dinner. It came with breaded chicken so I asked if mine could be grilled instead of breaded. She said she would check. We didn’t hear back but both of our meals had grilled chicken. It was fine, but not what we had ordered. Other than that, everything was very good.
One negative for me is that they don’t offer any kind of bread. I like bread with my meals.
I always enjoy going to Ivy Kitchen, the food is really tasty, the service is excellent and the ambiance is very pleasant. Highly recommended.
There was live music on the patio and Wednesday is half priced bottle night!
Randy was a really great server, attentive without being disruptive. Ivy Kitchen is always really quiet at lunch so it's great for business meals where you need to be able to hear conversations.
I met a friend here for brunch and we really enjoyed it! The menu is great and service was wonderful. I ordered the Ivy Crab Cake Benedict and it was to die for - whoever thought of adding creamed spinach to an eggs benedict is a genius! I will certainly be back soon.
It was a great atmosphere and the drinks were good. I had a brunch date there and the wait staff was friendly and timely. The food was also very good. I will definitely be back.
The food was delicious and the waiter was great. He did knock over an entire beer into my husbands lap but he took care of us and accidents happen. My husband was a lil chilly in the movie after dinner but all in all great food and there was a singer between ivy kitchen and coal vines that was amazing
The dinner and appetizer were good. Did not like the dessert brownie, we sent it back and the second one was just as terrible. Service was good.
Patio is great
Need to make silverware is clean. Menu is rather bland
I was with a party of six and our server never skipped a beat. The food was great and the customer service was fabulous! Definitely I will dine here again!
Nice place to meet friends before or after a movie.
Brunch was good...the place wasn't all that full, although I had reservations, they were not needed. Service was good
We loved every single thing we ordered. I had the sushi (better than any sushi I've had in texas!) My husband had the beef stroganoff and loved it. We had the stuffed jalapeños and cheesy bread for apps (cheesy bread was a nightly special) and both were absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Randy, was more than helpful and super sweet!! We're going back asap.
