Had a reservation for Friday night at 8:30pm. when we got there we were told we would have to wait a half hour for our reservation. fine, no big deal. Once we got seated we were ignored by our server for the first 20 min. The food took over an hour to come out, and was incredibly underwhelming. The only redeeming part of our experience was the front hostess, Beatriz who was so nice and energetic to us the entire time. otherwise, overrated restaurant that is charging you top dollar for the view and the location (which are both amazing, as is the overall look of the restaurant) but it would have been nice for the food to actually have been good, not to wait 30 min on a reservation, and not to wait over an hour for the food to come out without our server even coming by once to let us know what was taking so long.
We came here for my boyfriend’s birthday, and we weren’t disappointed! What a beautiful, wonderful experience! Love, love, LOVE the outdoor patio area, SO beautiful, and the food is absolutely delicious! Also LOVED the bottomless mimosas for celebrating his 21st!! Our waitress was the best and made the experience one to remember! They also made him a cute birthday dessert that tasted delicious as well! A wonderful experience, I can’t wait to be back!
Overall was a decent experience. My partner and I enjoyed our dishes very much, the girl who served us was nice and sweet, her recommendation (crab cake Benedict) was pretty tasty! Other dishes--three eggs omelettes and quinoa--were also good. The panoramic view of Hollywood was the perfect complimentary. But, always keep in mind that this place located at the garden of the hotel, and most part of the window side tables exposed to the sun, so be prepare for the sunshine and the heat especially the days hit by the heat wave.
The food and cocktails where good and our waitress was great but the food took forever to come out. We were told that the kitchen got backed up but the restaurant was not that busy. From the time we got our app to the time we got our main course was about 45 mins. Everything else was fine but will probably not go back again.
Food isn’t as good as last time we were there, and service was slow, the pickle came out dry and fruits look unflattering, not to mention the burger was dry. Ultimately it’s a failure, very disappointed
The host later told me that we weren’t seated because we didn’t have enough women in our group to be seated right away... didn’t realize i was at a club!
The waiter was great but that’s about it
I loved the vibes and I thought the whole experience was fun.
I was hoping for a quiet lunch. But there was a DJ at the pool and it was so loud it came into the restaurant. The menu was too short.
Great views, good food, not much in terms of options but thats a good thing if you are grabbing a quick lunch on a work day, inside is quite than the outside if you are wondering where to be seated depending on your party.
Great View!! Yummy juicy scallops and very nice servers!
Roasted brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were good!
It must have been busy: waited to be seated 15 min although we had reservations; usually they are on point w the checking in while eating, what do you need... not that much today, they seemed to be overly occupied serving the larger parties. Food is delicious, cocktail on point... I will be back just not on pumping weekend (pride weekend )
I was 15 min late to my reservation but they still sat me once my party arrived.
It was waaaay too loud. Sitting outside may have been better but they didn't have seating at the time, view out the window was pretty from inside.
Food was good but smaller portions. More on the expensive side
Service wasn't that great had to request sugar, water to be filled, never got my coffee filled.
Wonderful people working, great spot!
Great view and vibe
I’ve been there multiple times I think the location is great and it’s right next to sky bar so it makes it’s easy to walk on over for drinks. The food is a bit of a disappointment but just because of the ambiance I’d continue going.
The service was mediocre. The food was cold and took forever to come out. If you’re going to pay $45 for a 8oz fillet minion I would image they could get “medium” right and not take 1 hr to serve it only to get it WELL DONE. Horrible experience.
Really beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, lovely food, was easy to eat as a vegan, good variety. Wonderful cocktails, gorgeous hangout, I would love to return for brunch. Beautiful views of LA and it felt like a special place. Staff was super courteous and thoughtful.
Drinks took forever to arrive ..
Had a great experience here! Our server was great, had bottomless mimosas throughout our time there. Would definitely come back in the future and recommend this place to friends.
There was a long hair in my food. They took it back and brought me another plate. (No utensils, I had to get up and ask for it) It took so long that my friend was already finished with her plate.
We had to get up another 2 times to ask for coffee refills.
It’s a pretty location and the food is good, but the service that day, was beyond horrible.
Beautiful day outside
Great location and views of the city. Food good service amazing a bit expensive.
It was my birthday dinner with 3 friends. Our server Derrick was the best!
Spectacular views amid beautiful setting brought me here but the wonderfully attentive service by the gracious and hospitable staff with truly delightful food will keep me coming back.
Everything was terrific drinks and food were some of the best LA has to offer.
Can’t wait to return.
My favorite place have been coming there for about 10 years
Terrible experience. Had to wait 40 minutes with a reservation and the hostess was the worst. Do not recommend.
Loved it here! It was a perfect Sunday brunch. Staff was really sweet. Food was delicious!
The hostess was friendly and sat us quickly. We then waited for twenty to twenty five minutes and no waiters came to our table. We eventually left and went to another restaurant. The view was pretty though.
We had a dinner at Ivory at Sunset Restaurant and we were promised we had access later to Skybar. After paying the bill with not so small tip, it seems they forgot our entry to Skybar. Result is that we couldn’t get in... Great arrogance and snobbismus...sorry but I prefer to spend my time and money somewhere else. Big disappointment! I won‘t recommend the venue to my US, Asian and European friends....such a pity!
Great food and views of LA! Great for brunch! Will definitely be back!
Food was not good at all....
Service by Abby was great
Chair had hair on it.... no on it, but in it.... and clearly has not been cleaned
Great ambiance! Staff was extremely friendly. Definitely returning for brunch.
The food was very good. Besides that this restaurant was a huge disappointment. Granted we were 15 minutes late for our 9:00 PM reservation, but there were both many open tables and many tables with people eating. The first thing we were told was that the kitchen was closing soon so we should choose quickly. Somehow an alarm was set off (I realize that was an accident) which went on for a good five-ten minutes with a strobe light etc. You would think there would be some kind of apologie or something, but no. We ordered our food and wine (quickly!); as we were eating the waiter rarely came to check on us and a bus person started loudly moving tables and chairs around; the chairs scratching across the floor were very loud. There were still people a lot of people eating their meals. As we were eating the waiter came by to say, "you don't want anything else to drink, right? I mean the bar is closing. We felt rushed, the ambiance was horrible, the staff pretty rude. I would NOT recommend this restaurant for any reason.
Shame shame shame. Awesome view and ok interior design. Food simply average all heaped on plate - no style. Staff attentive but unaware. Evening ruined by incessant hyena laugh of another patron which would customarily be dealt with by management. It wasn't. Not the experience we sought and as said food incredibly average.
We made reservations through Open Table for Sunday Easter Dinner. Our reservation was at 3:15 pm.
When we were ready to order dinner the waiter told us that dinner menu was not available until 5:00 pm. What was available was a limited menu such as appetizers and hamburgers, sandwiches etc. Since it was Easter other restaurants were probably packed. So we had an appetizer and hamburger Easter dinner.
It is Easter, wouldn’t you expecti dinner to be served all day?
We ordered oysters but they were not fresh. The severe was very slow. Food overall was not good!
Enjoyed how they kept their signature menu with a few specials for Easter Sunday; although the special shrimp& grits was a hit or miss the signature menu items were delicious as usual. Fav cocktail 🥃 and great view; always a special treat!🙌🏾
Wonderful experience all around. Killer views and great atmosphere. Good and service we're on point.
