Good food with a great view. Wonderful place to take visitors as the menu has pacific nowrthwest specialties.
We had an excellent dinning e experience. We were seated at a table with a very water view. Service was promoted, never feeling rushed. I had a wonderful seasonal cocktail and main dish of halibut cheeks. My husband had a plate of deep fried seafood. I could not have been happier with quality and preparation of the halibut. My husband said this the best resturant for deep fried seafood.
We were celebrating my husbands 61st birthday.
I highly recommend this resturant for the food, the view and overall great dining experience.
Love the "Taste of the Northwest", it's a favorite.
I have had meals at the Ivar's in Mukilteo for over 20 years and cannot say enough good things about the staff, the food and the ambience. You have to go to Boston, Mass. to find a better New England Clam Chowder and the rest of the menu is excellent, even the Fish and Chips. Definitely a restaurant worthy of visiting again and again.
Great service! We were seated right away. The menu selection was great. The food was amazing and our Server Maggie, was excellent.
Ivar's is always a treat. Great views watching the ferry come and go as well as the fishermen on the pier hauling in crabs all the while looking out on Puget Sound and the mountains. Great food, great service, and an all around good time.
The music was so loud we couldn’t carry on a conversation. This is a chronic problem at Ivar’s for Sunday lunch. Giving up on the restaurant. Going somewhere else next time.
Fantastic food, great service, excellent atmosphere.
Delicious as always! The service was wonderful and the view added to the experience. Thank you!
We do an annual family lunch out the first weekend in October. Ivar's Mukiltieo is our favorite place to go. We really enjoy watching the ferries come and go, last Saturday we watched a seal swim by! There's usually folks fishing from the docks and sailboats off in the distance!
Our server was Nichole and she was great! she knew the food prep, ( we have some food allergies in our group) and she was extremely helpful with our food choices. She was friendly, kept us stocked with coffee and water and just did a wonderful job!
Our food was the bomb!! Salmon crusted with sweet potato with a delicious risotto, salmon with bourban maple syrup sauce and hash (that did not taste like mom's hash in anyway shape or form) Halbut cheeks. Everything tasted fresh and was well prepared.
I highly recommend Ivar's for a group, we had a great time!
Great location on the water. Always terrific service. Oysters were wonderful. Caesar salad fresh and crunchy - but dressing may have been missing anchovies. The only real disappointment was the prime rib dinner. The meat was tough and vaguely warm. Potatoes were almost cold. Horseradish was mixed with sour cream? and was drizzled over the potatoes. Really very disappointing.
My second visit to Ivars and once again, the food, service and ambience were terrific. It's so difficult to find a really good seafood restaurant in Los Angeles where I live, and so Ivars was wonderful find. The quality has remained at a very high level even though the last time I was here was 5 years ago and that speaks volumes. And as far as the service, we had one of the best waiters I've ever had anywhere...Erik. Very professional, personable, and anticipated our every need. He made dining a real pleasure. Thank you Erik!! And thank you Ivars for another wonderful experience.
Salmon was over cooked and dry. Plus, I was overcharged on my bill. Other than the view, it is not worth the dining experience.
Eating at Mukilteo Ivars is always a good experience. We go there for special occasions and always take out-of-town visitors there. The food is good and the portions are great. Our waiter this time was John and he was especially attentive, appropriately interactive, and helpful.
Very good happy hour, excellent upscale dinner with excellent views of sound and ferries
We had a wonderful meal. The fish was so fresh and the menu was creative. Really good Clam Chowder. If you go, you must have a cup. Service was very good. We needed an accommodation for someone in our party. This was handled very well by the staff.
Sorry to say this trip to Ivars was underwhelming. We were a party of 6 looking forward to appetizers, drinks, great meals, and desserts with our family. However, all of the deep fried food was overcooked. Because the coconut shrimp were fried too long they were tasteless, my husband's halibut cheeks were dry, and my clams, usually lovely, were tough and had no flavor because of overcooking. Not the usual quality we have come to expect. Not so fun to pay close to $400 for that.
Snohomish county isn’t known for restaurants, so choices are limited. Ivars is fine if you like basic food. quality is inconsistent. Our filets tasted sous vide before grilling, giving them a boiled taste. the potatoes were soggy. Our dining companion enjoyed her $58 crab legs.
Two of us ordered salmon, one tried a new york steak; our meals were delicious. We shared a caprese salad appetizer, a light bite prior to our main course. The mixed berry shortcake for dessert was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly and answered our menu questions. All of the staff were welcoming and accommodating. We look forward to dining here again.
It’s always wonderful! We have never been disappointed. Thank you.
Excellent local seafood. Great service. Amazing view of the Puget Sound. Only negative is that it was very noisy. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Really fun to be on the water with good friends. Our server was great, but my food was just okay. Our fried calamari appetizer was over fried but our friends' said their's were perfectly cooked. I had steamers for dinner and chose the Thai broth, instead of the classic wine broth, which turned out to be a mistake. The Thai broth was very spicey and overpoweded those wonderful little clams. I didn't have the fish and chips, but I'm sure they were great because they always are at Ivar's. My husband had prime rib and he said it was perfect, so I guess the food was mostly very good. It was just my choices this time.
Had a very nice time with friends. The view was amazing and the food was great. If you want a bargain, go for happy hour.
*We were there for a birthday celebration. *For us, close to home.
*Great for special occasions.
*Outstanding ambiance on the waterfront.
*Excellent views: water, mountains, sunset,
ferries, people fishing on the dock, etc.
*Thoughtful diligent service.
*Excellent menu offerings
*Very well-prepared food: tasty!
*Good-sized portions (we almost always
take a box home.
*Always glad we came. A great evening!
Outstanding! Love Ivars Mukilteo. Can walk on and off ferry. Fun meeting place on the water. Friendly staff.
We have dinner here every time we come into town which isn't very often so it's a special treat for us. Food is consistently good and usually service in top notch. Not on Saturday - our server, we think her name was Kimberly, was the worst service we've had there. It was really disappointing so we might just drive the extra distance and go to the Ivar's on the Pier in Seattle.
Great food and service, plus our waiter noticed it was a birthday and brought out a piece of cake for the birthday boy, so thoughtful!
Took really long time to get our entrees. Felt like people who came in after, got their foods first. By the time the entrees came out, we were too full from the bread and appetizers.
Perfectly prepared seafood dishes with innovative accompaniments. Great wines to match each disch. Attentive, friendly service that respected our space. Lovely view of Puget Sound and Whidbey Island.
The food was very good, but not outstanding. The atmosphere was fine, not to noisy and the wait staff was attentive.
we let the front desk aware of our preference to be seated in the happy hour area even knowing we had to wait for a specific table to be available. After 40min and when our table were finally available a waitress appeared saying that table were for another couple she was already serving. We were surprised with the fact that a place (happy hour) that it’s supposed to be first come first serve was making concessions to customers that were already seated and being served.
Despite this terrible experience with Ivars we finally had a great night at Arnie’s, a restaurant on next corner with much more willing to seve new customers with courtesy and attention, going beyond our expectation since we did not make any reservation with them.
If you value your time and a great customer service go to Arnie’s!
IVAR'S servers are fantastic. They always go above and beyond to accommodate and they are friendly even when busy. The food is tasty and recipes are consistent. I enjoy it every time.
Had 47th Wedding Anniversary Dinner. Not rushed! Great Food, Great Server!
A Very Special Day! Thank You Ivar's!
Excellent meal. One halibut, one Louie, one medley.
Classic PNW seafood prepared well. Service was excellent and the environment/atmosphere is warm and inviting. Only thing was the table seating at the windows were first come first. No reservations available. So that was a bummer.
Excellent experience. Reservation was good only had about 5 min wait for a table by the window. Service was excellent Maggi was friendly, knowledgeable and attendant. Food was outstanding and perfect size. Price was very reasonable.
The food was fantastic! The Coho Salmon was superb...generous portions and served hot! The outside seating next to the windows has heating elements above the seats which made all the difference for a great early evening meal while watching the ferries come and go. This made the experience all-the-more-better to be able to eat outside comfortably. Sitting outside is the perfect spot to enjoy a great evening for two or four.
As always, Ivar's Mukilteo Landing did not disappoint. The food is spectacular, the view stunning and the service is great.
From the appetizers to the desert, the food is worth the trip.
Truly our waiter was absolutely the best......He was a gem for my wife's birthday.
We had 17 people family reunion dinner on Friday night it was fabulous
