First time out with friends to a restaurant in Seattle in 4 months. Patio was spotless and felt safe, service was stellar. Grateful for this wonderful business.
We sat outside by the water. Perfect weather, although I don’t think you had control of that? Ivar maybe. Food was very good tasting. Two things though: The Salmons Caesar had a small salad portion, andI hate when stems are left in lettuces. They stick out of my mouth like a rat tail.
What a blessing. Great service, great food, and great outside dining during coronavirus!
Great food on outdoor deck overlooking the bay. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
We loved sitting outside and enjoying the view!
Not a huge fan of the new shortened dine in menu and would have preferred more options but everything else was great.
Beautiful outdoor patio, funky, expansive indoor area, friendly staff, tasty food--even for my picky eaters.
Food was good they had a limited menu. Understandable since they recently re opened after the covid shut down. Our server was awesome and very accommodating to my wife's food restrictions.
The place was closed
I apologize that you're upset that we were closed. Along with every restaurant in King County we were forced to close among the Cornona Virus Pandemic. We are hopeful we will be able to open soon and return to some form of normalcy. We hope you are staying healthy and happy during these difficult and trying times.
Phenomenal venue and amazing food.
The service was phenomenal and would definitely come back.
Ivar’s acres of clams is a Seattle institution. I’ve been stopping here for decades whenever I’m in Seattle and have never been disappointed. Last night I started with a cup of their clam chowder, which was delicious. A Subtle clam flavored creamy broth, with lots of chopped clams, potatoes. Celery and onions. For an entree, I had the Alaskan King Crab legs, which come with roasted potatoes, and sautéed spinach. It’s 2 lb of crab legs served with roasted garlic butter & lemon slices. You also get a bib, mini fork and a nut cracker to use on the shells and a galvanized bucket for the empty shells. The crab legs were succulent, meaty and cooked perfectly. I was so full, I skipped dessert. Shout out to Jason , who was my server. He provided great recommendations, and stopped by my table frequently to check that all was well.
Can’t wait til my next trip to Seattle.
I love Ivars. Been going since I was a kid. Now that I am grown up I like to eat in the restaurant, not outside unless it is summer and very warm. The place is great looking, good service. The food is very good also. The big problem is the price. I understand minimum wage has gone up, taxes have gone up, they have to make up for the problems caused by construction, but they are way overpriced. My husband and I had one iced tea, one water, a regular fish and chips, one halibut fish and chips and one cup of chowder. $80. Fifty, okay, but $80? Kind of ridiculous.
We had an enjoyable lunch at Ivar's. The food was delicious and not too expensive and the place was not too noisy. We enjoyed the lunch combos, which are great and don't leave you with that overfull feeling, but held us for the day in town . Didn't get home until 9 PM, but was not hungry until then.
Great Happy Hour discounted menu-had the clam chowder, curry mussels, fried calamari, fish tacos. Basics done well with a great view...can accommodate a large group.
So sad they no longer have gluten free calamari. Rest of the food was good as expected.
We came here for our anniversary with our sons and it was perfect! We loved our server and the food was perfect. It was a really pleasant meal for all of us and we’ll definitely be back.
Our server, James, was a badass! He was super polite and made us feel welcomed! The food was amazing and the lighting was perfect. 10/10 would recommend
Jason, our waiter went out of his way to make our meal wonderful, we had family visiting from out of town and it was their first trip to Seattle, Jason made the experience a good one. Food was good, drinks were goo also
Outstanding customer service from the greeter to the waiter...
I was there for clams, and the ran out of clams? It also goes against the name of the restaurant.
The food was fantastic! The only bad thing that we had was the Ivarita cocktail.......I would steer clear of that one.
This is by far the best Ivars in town. We loved the view, ambiance and food!
Our entrees were excellent. Server did a great job of paying attention to our needs and making sure everyone was content.
Great Valentine’s Day with the misses.
This place is fantastic. Oh, and the King crab legs were out of this world.
