I apologize that you're upset that we were closed. Along with every restaurant in King County we were forced to close among the Cornona Virus Pandemic. We are hopeful we will be able to open soon and return to some form of normalcy. We hope you are staying healthy and happy during these difficult and trying times.
Phenomenal venue and amazing food.
The service was phenomenal and would definitely come back.
Ivar’s acres of clams is a Seattle institution. I’ve been stopping here for decades whenever I’m in Seattle and have never been disappointed. Last night I started with a cup of their clam chowder, which was delicious. A Subtle clam flavored creamy broth, with lots of chopped clams, potatoes. Celery and onions. For an entree, I had the Alaskan King Crab legs, which come with roasted potatoes, and sautéed spinach. It’s 2 lb of crab legs served with roasted garlic butter & lemon slices. You also get a bib, mini fork and a nut cracker to use on the shells and a galvanized bucket for the empty shells. The crab legs were succulent, meaty and cooked perfectly. I was so full, I skipped dessert. Shout out to Jason , who was my server. He provided great recommendations, and stopped by my table frequently to check that all was well.
Can’t wait til my next trip to Seattle.
I love Ivars. Been going since I was a kid. Now that I am grown up I like to eat in the restaurant, not outside unless it is summer and very warm. The place is great looking, good service. The food is very good also. The big problem is the price. I understand minimum wage has gone up, taxes have gone up, they have to make up for the problems caused by construction, but they are way overpriced. My husband and I had one iced tea, one water, a regular fish and chips, one halibut fish and chips and one cup of chowder. $80. Fifty, okay, but $80? Kind of ridiculous.
We had an enjoyable lunch at Ivar's. The food was delicious and not too expensive and the place was not too noisy. We enjoyed the lunch combos, which are great and don't leave you with that overfull feeling, but held us for the day in town . Didn't get home until 9 PM, but was not hungry until then.
Great Happy Hour discounted menu-had the clam chowder, curry mussels, fried calamari, fish tacos. Basics done well with a great view...can accommodate a large group.
So sad they no longer have gluten free calamari. Rest of the food was good as expected.
We came here for our anniversary with our sons and it was perfect! We loved our server and the food was perfect. It was a really pleasant meal for all of us and we’ll definitely be back.
Our server, James, was a badass! He was super polite and made us feel welcomed! The food was amazing and the lighting was perfect. 10/10 would recommend
Jason, our waiter went out of his way to make our meal wonderful, we had family visiting from out of town and it was their first trip to Seattle, Jason made the experience a good one. Food was good, drinks were goo also
Outstanding customer service from the greeter to the waiter...
I was there for clams, and the ran out of clams? It also goes against the name of the restaurant.
The food was fantastic! The only bad thing that we had was the Ivarita cocktail.......I would steer clear of that one.
This is by far the best Ivars in town. We loved the view, ambiance and food!
Our entrees were excellent. Server did a great job of paying attention to our needs and making sure everyone was content.
Great Valentine’s Day with the misses.
This place is fantastic. Oh, and the King crab legs were out of this world.
Birthday. Asked for a view table and got one.
The manager, Casey Rose, stopped by our table twice. We felt like royalty. A wonderful experience.
This was a much better experience than our last visit. Great setting. Food was fantastic. Our server had a great attitude and personality though he seemed under staffed. Kitchen was slow considering the level of business
We reserved 6p for dinner on a Sunday night and were seated promptly. The meal and service were excellent. The ambiance sitting next to the window was divine.
Good food, good service, nice view, not too noisy to have a nice conversation. And reasonable prices.
The service was incredible. All off the food recommendations were excellent.
Scallops and beet salad to die for!!!
It was a birthday dinner date. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable. We love the venue, the view & the ambience.
Nice food and location, but service could be more attentive / less forgetful
Amazing service, great location and view!
Helpful server, excellent salmon. Had a great time!
Delicious, fast, friendly
Dinner at Ivar's was awesome. Food was delicious and presentation was outstanding. We don't eat out often but it seemed a little pricey to us. We took the bus and I'm glad we did because parking looked very limited.
This is a great place for a large group of people. Staff handled it beautifully!
La mejor clam Chowder que he probado
Seattle’s water front is slowly transforming since they dismantled the Viaduct. But, Ivar’s Acres of Clams has always been a city’s icon with good food and great service. This restaurant is one of our favorites in the Seattle area. This time, we took the transit bus from the Eastside for a no hassle, no fee parking. It was really convenient walking down the hill from the Central Library. The moment we walked inside, we can see and feel the history behind this restaurant. The staff is inviting and friendly. We were seated within ten minutes. Our server was on par. The Cioppino was delicious. The best part of all was enjoying the view and spending time with my family.
Great food, was very busy so service was a bit slow, but they were friendly.
New Years Eve dinner with friends. Ambience was nice, not noisy. But festive. Food was outstanding.
We were seated at a window table which was spectacular. Our waitress was wonderful. She was very attentive and friendly. The food was very delicious but, I would have liked lemon and a few more hard boiled eggs with my crab and shrimp Louie.
Outstanding fish & chip, and chowder. Service and views of Puget Sound and the ferries during the evening hours were picturesque. Will definitely return when we visit Seattle in the future.
Holiday Trip from San Francisco.
Very nice overall. My fish had a bit too much truffle oil.
Outstanding service by John T!
