Ivan Ramen imagines the Classic NY diner as seen through the Japanese lens. The food is incredible, the service outstanding, the menu is uniquely Ivan Orkin. Ivan Ramen celebrates Ivan’s creativity through the lens of his life journey. His effortless blending of: his New York roots, his classic French training, and his deep understanding of Japan, color the menu and the restaurant. Ramen here is clearly a must, but you should not miss out on the amazing array of other dishes, which are perfect for sharing while you enjoy a well selected sake. Casual, comfortable and quirky with splashes of art inspired by pop culture and movies, Ivan Ramen is simply a fun restaurant.

My boyfriend and I get ramen together every Sunday night, and this has been one of our best experiences! Delicious, unique ramen with friendly and helpful service
Food is SUPER salty! Lacks depth just salt. Staff & Beer were fantastic! They tried but food had no flavor. Sad bc when it first opened, it was awesome.
Best ramen BAR NONE. Exceptional food in a fun diner-type setting. Innovative and unusual ingredient combinations all work. Great value. Excellent sake.
Fantastic food and beer. Great service and good vibes. Would definitely recommend, make sure you make a reservation!
Unbelievable food! Will be back for the ramen as soon as possible.
Nos ha gustado mucho, tal y como imaginábamos , el ramen espectacular el mejor que he probado sin duda repetiremos
It was amazing
The people are so nice and the food was great
Good food, nothing wow, but good! Service was fast.
Für den kurzen Aufenthalt: Essen und raus. Sehr freundliches Personal und tolles Essen. Geschmacksexplosion garantiert;)
Die Bierauswahl ist groß und sehr teuer.
Tables are a little cramped but the food is so good you kind of forget about it. Staff was very friendly.
Food was perfect
But it was noisy and we wait for long even if we had a reservation
Staff is really attentive and friendly - with a little “twist” of personality that you don’t find often. Food - pork beloy buns, crispy shrimp heads and 2 types of Ramen (I loved the spicy chilli ramen) were sll really wonderful. Portions, not that we need it,mwere very generous- could have done witj 2 appetizers and sharing a Ramen - except I like spicy, my wife does not. Took leftovers home. It’s not “cheap”, but the value proposition was a good one - especially if you stay away from multiple sake refills 🥴.
All around AMAZING!!
Food very average and some dishes even below,
Tskukemen noodles too chunky and the whole dish too heavy, sauces very fatty, the duck broth was half fat/ half broth
We had a reservation last tuesday at 8:30 and we still had to wait in line before getting a table. I thought since we had made a reservation we would be given one of the more intimate tables at the back of the restaurant but we were right at the entrance. However, the food was good and our waiter was very nice and efficient!
Nice and quick!
Our experience was great all around and the food was even better. Our only complaint was that we were placed in the enclosed outside seating. It felt like we were not at the restaurant and we would have much preferred being in doors
"The best ramen ever" said my husband and I think I agree. The space had a typical NYC problem-- steam heat made it WAY too hot.
Our server was super patient.
Have been wanting to try Ivan Ramen for a while and wasn't disappointed. The triple pork triple garlic mazeman was delicious and not as heavy as you'd think, with one big chunk of pork and a bacon-tinged sauce that was full of flavor but less rich than an alfredo. The chicken ramen was also incredibly full of flavor, and we tried two tasty apps as well - the crunchy curry flower and the fried eggplant, which had a great tahini-type sauce. It is certainly more expensive than your standard ramen place but the food is definitely on another level. Just wish they had more alcohol options for those of us who don't really like beer.
Better than I hoped. Orkin hit it out of the park.....Best ramen we’ve ever had.
Love love loved the Wagyu beef tongue sandwich and Duck Duck Duck Tsukemen!!
We were really excited to try the noodles here- didn’t disappoint! Great vibe - place was packed but food came quickly. Curry Flower appetizer was insanely good - highly recommended by our server. The Chicken Paitan ramen was especially tasty. The spicy ramen was VERY spicy- though my husband loves heat, it was almost distracting.
The service was friendly and efficient, the ramen was delicious and the music they had in the background was on point. Started off with the Tongue-katsu sando, never thought I'd enjoy eating beef tongue. We ordered the Tokyo Shio and the chicken paitan ramen. My bf couldn't stop talking about the chicken Paitan after leaving. The broth was very flavorful. This place set the bar for ramen pretty high. I'd move to this neighborhood just so I could become a regular at this place.
Also, this chef (Ivan) was featured on an ep of Chef's Table; it was pretty cool learning his background before coming. He makes his noodles from scratch and puts his own spin on it which is why they aren't stereotypical ramen noodles.
Fantastic! Great food, great evening.
Undoubtedly the best ramen I’ve ever eaten in my life! Real umami , real deliciousness
Whenever I come back to NY, Ivan Ramen is a must !
