Ivan Ramen imagines the Classic NY diner as seen through the Japanese lens. The food is incredible, the service outstanding, the menu is uniquely Ivan Orkin. Ivan Ramen celebrates Ivan’s creativity through the lens of his life journey. His effortless blending of: his New York roots, his classic French training, and his deep understanding of Japan, color the menu and the restaurant. Ramen here is clearly a must, but you should not miss out on the amazing array of other dishes, which are perfect for sharing while you enjoy a well selected sake. Casual, comfortable and quirky with splashes of art inspired by pop culture and movies, Ivan Ramen is simply a fun restaurant.
Buena calidad, servicio
Ramen buonissimo davvero! Aspettative alte e superate!!
Celebration with my bff
The tongue sando is the only thing that I really liked. My girlfriend got the shio and I got the shoyu. Both tasted like glorified instant ramen. The pork croquettes aren't great either. Yuzu lemonade and roasted barley iced tea were great though.
Went there for my daughter’s birthday and it was wonderful. Highly recommend making reservations because the place filled up at opening for lunch in 20 minutes. Food came out fast and delicious. Best ramen I’ve had in New York. Try the Triple Garlic Triple Pork and you’ll be hooked.
It’s the best. Just go.
Best ramen I have ever had - great service, location and the Japanese fried chicken is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten
The most amazing food. You will not be disappointed. Curry flower and all Ramen are out of this world
The spicy ramen was a bit more spicy than they lead on and although it had a lot of flavor it took away from the otherwise fantastic broth, noodles, pork, and other ingredients.
Ivan Ramen is one of those places everyone wants to go to because of its fame with Ivan Orkin. But really it's just a good ramen place after all. I had the pleasure of trying two appetizers and four entrees so I can say that the food is good in taste and quality. I believe that people think too much of this place--and honestly it is a good, and humble spot with great service. It has a very traditional Japanese style decoration and ambiance with stools, a bar, and a crowd of people with very little space. I think that this is a good place to try if you are into trying Japanese food; but after all--it is just a good ramen shop.
It was my first time having ramen, our server Marvin was super informative and helpful. He assisted us in choosing what to order and did a great job in doing so. I will definitely be back !
Very disappointing. I am sure it has to be a good restaurant but regularity is must. Deformed oil soak chicken, sauce covered veggies are not acceptable. Only good thing about their ramen is the noodles. They taste very good and well cooked. This is NYC. You can not effort to be sometimes good
This is the best ramen I've ever had. If you've seen the episode of Chef's Table on Netflix about Ivan's journey, you won't be disappointed once you dine here. It's that good!
straight forward and simple. ask what is good, and they deliver. open your mind, and it is going to be good. cartoons!!!!!
Great food and cool ambience. It’s small but it works for ramen. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
Awesome as expected. Shio Ramen and Shoyu Ramen were both great. The rye noodles were fantastic. Also had the pickled daikon xo which I would highly recommend.
Great food, great service, will go again!
Brilliant dining experience, never eaten ramen like it - it was unbelievable.
The food and beverage choice was perfectly chosen and all staff were very friendly and knowledgable.
Recommend eating at the bar area so you can watch the chefs in action.
Eat here. It is truly wonderful. Beef tongue was so flavorful and the pork buns. ....wow. Both mazemen ramen dishes were great and the chicken ramen heavenly. We waddled out very happy.
Ivan's Ramen is fabulous. We love this restaurant. Service was engaging and informed. The wine list short, but on point. To dine there is to be haunted by the richness of the umami in the days following and to regret that there are so few locations nearby to revisit the epiphany of taste.
It was a beautifully crafted lunch. Perfect. You can tell it's made with love.
Was not disappointed but I expected the delicious ramen to be amazing....
Nevertheless thanks Ivan will return
never fails, one of my favorite places for a quick night out. A+
Fantastic dinner - exactly what I was looking for!
The Japanese friend chicken was particularly salty. The serving was quite healthy, but couldn’t finish because of the salt. Pork buns were good, but one of the pieces of chashu was cool to the touch. The downside is that the meat has more of a chew and the fatty pieces have a “bite.” It makes the mouthfeel unpleasant. The pickled daikon was a nice pairing with the bun. I’ve eaten here before and didn’t have this happen, so obviously it was just a cooking error. Had two Ramens. The Triple Pork, Triple garlic. Incredibly tasty. Noodles had a nice chew and the flavor was rich and everything I wanted it to be. I expected there to be more of a garlicky taste, but it was more subtle. I also had the a Chicken Paitan Ramen. It was delicious. The chicken broth/soup was by far the best tasting item I had that day. It comes with an egg yolk and a slice of lime that you mix into the soup. Made the broth more creamy and rich. The acid helped balance the richness of the scrumptious paitan ramen. The chicken pieces in the soup were tiny and plentiful. An excellent accompaniment to slurping up the broth after I finished the noodles. Beer selection is great. Craft brews (good ones) are already expensive and the restaurant mark up on top makes it a little hard to order more than one beer. Overall it’s worth a visit and I will be back. I like Ivan’s story and his food is very good.
If you are a fan of Ramen or never had it. This is your place. Broth & noodles spot ON.
Great food. Laid back, loud environ
Best ramen ever. Yum
Superb ramen of several varieties. We also had the crispy eggplant and the steamed pork buns. Both delicious. The service was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return!
Delicious every time!
Amazing service. Almost too perfect.
We were seated right at our reservation time, at opening, at a table near the kitchen. Our server was great, attentive but not too clingy. The food was outstanding and my 14 yo daughter got to have the lunch of her dreams. The ONLY thing I might change is lowering the music level a little....I loved the mood it set but the combo of the music and packed restaurant made it a little loud. Can’t wait to go back regardless!
What a joke! This is abolutely not one of the best ramen in New York, whatever jimmy Fallon says. Bad presentation or just regular. Too much salt in ramen and almost no meat.
Don’t loose time and energy to go there.
Amazing food, staff and environment! The service is quick and worth every bite.
Pork buns were very good. Ramen broths were too intense for us. Noodles too thin. Eggs perfect. Lemonade delicious.
Amazing place. Food, beer and vibe. Originally watched chefs table on Ivan and needed to get here. I waited far too long, gonna be making this a regular spot.
Ottima scoperta, lontano dalle segnalazioni delle guide.
The food was ok, but there are many better ramens in nyc.
