Service was Excellent ambiance good food a 5/10.
As usual dinner was great, our server was fantastic. Band playing was excellent
Dishes we ordered-
Hush Puppies app - disappointing 👎🏻
Jambalaya- very good spicy but not overly spicy
Fried Chicken- delicious!
Ono - delicious flavor but OVERCOOKED
bread pudding - fair. Sauce was lacking enough sweetness
Key Lime Pie - delicious
All servers & staff were wonderful. Engaging & attentive
Loved their take on a mojito....I think the best I’ve had. I had the salmon and loved my meal and salad. Hubby had the special and said it was just ok- tri tip with shrimp, Mac n cheese...
The people watching is amazing .... very lively bunch. Our waitress was serving a lot of tables but managed it well. gF options are nice... even for desert!!
We had been there before for another friends BD. This time took Mom a she likes the un-ordinary fare. Loved it!
Time for a menu change. Your menu is wonderful, but the menu is growing a bit old to us regulars. I love the place, but I want some more and some different creations from folks who know how to cook good Southern cuisine. How about some new Creole and also some good Southern Soul food? Get down in there! You can do it!
After two weeks in San Clemente eating at almost all the restaurants near the downtown area, this was one of our favorites. The half price off bottles of wine on Wednesdays is a great value. The nights we were there, live music was offered in the bar area. The food was great, we especially liked the shrimp and grits, hush puppies and French onion soup.
Was way overpriced for what you got
I recommended it to my mom and sister and
No senior discount
She had a few scrambled eggs and ham
No champagne included
Our breakfast was 150 dollars
We had Mother's Day Brunch at Iva Lee's and had a great experience. The food was good and consistent with and interesting mix of southern and regular brunch items. Paying for a $30 brunch I was expecting a mimosa, juice, or coffee to be included which it was not and I felt that $15 for 1 mimosa, not unlimited or for a jug, was a bit high. The buffet service was great, the manager and staff where very consistent with refilling the trays. We sat on the patio which was nice except when the extremely loud suped up honda civics and motorcycles passed by. The waitress was not very attentive but seeing as this was a special occasion and the restaurant was packed it could be chalked up to that. Definitely worth a try at least once.
Fantastic food and service!
Always good food, unfortunately this evening the server was assigned a few too many stations. Otherwise everything was perfect as expected.
We met up with some friends to have dinner and listen the a band! This is a great Venue with great food, great service, and a large dance floor. Very much enjoyed the entire evening!
Great food, great band! Service was lacking. Couldn't get more bread, not the end of the world. Server was visibly annoyed with my friends gluten free requests. I mean, I was annoyed too but I was surprised to see the server act irritated. Great food, fun atmosphere!!
Very enjoyable and good service. Food was good and unique for this area
JC was phenomenal; made me feel like a VIP in the chaos! Came for the band. Felt right at home. Quite an enjoyable night! (We only ordered drinks; didn't eat so I can't rate the food or value, sorry)
Enjoy the atmosphere and the menu very much. After dinner we sat at the bar and met the owner very friendly he was making a cocktail called prohibition it looked and smelled wonderful so we had to order one. Very nice cocktail. We were Only visiting but will be back if we are in the neighborhood.
One of my favorite restaurants in San Clemente. I would recommend it for a first date. Family gatherings are good too. Dancing and music was excellent.
We just moved home to California after living in New Orleans for four years and had great expectations for this restaurant. We really wanted to like it, but it was average at best. We knew going into it that we couldn’t hold it to the same standards as a Southern restaurant in the south, but the food fell far short even with tempered expectations. The best thing I can say about our experience was that we ate food that was edible, but certainly not worth what we paid.
Shrimp was over cooked, fried chicken was dry, the fried green tomatoes were great apart from the overpowering (and unnecessary) cheese on them, the hush puppies were surprisingly moist (a good thing), and the gumbo was ok.
We won’t go back, but would encourage others to try it, you might love the food and music, but it wasn’t for us.
I liked being in a diffetent restaurant for the easter holiday thus time. The buffet was small but good except for the potatoes dish. Chicken not very tender. I didn't like the cost for proseco and their steep price by the bottle. Corkage fee very high as well. Still pleased with our overall ecperience.
We live in central Orange County, and this is a good halfway point to meet friends from San Diego. Have only been here for dinner, so can't comment on Sunday brunch. The restaurant is NOISY because of the bar so, if you are sensitive to noise, request a table on the patio. There are heaters out there, and it is quieter.
The food is good (no, it's not New Orleans, but the menu honors NOLA with a variety of Cajun dishes as well as more standard fare). It wasn't quite as spicy as some in our group would have liked, but next time they will ask for it to be spicy (and probably will then say it's TOO spicy ;-) ).
The serving staff is friendly and accommodating. It is possible that they could use another person or two as, especially on this most recent visit, we had fairly long waits for our drinks and meal. Of course, it was a busy Saturday night, and the restaurant was full.
We'll go back both for the location and the food
The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly and service driven. Great experience!!
Great food, great music, dancing and atmosphere. Everything I am looking for in a night out! Will be back.
Interesting decor emulating old New Orleans. There is a large bar as you enter. Menu is predominately Louisiana dishes. My wife had excellent shrimp and grits and I had a very nice blackened salmon. Bread pudding was good but not up to New Orleans standard. Service was very good.
Great craft cocktails Entertaining live music. Delicious menu selections, Jambalaya shrimp and cheese plate were excellent.
Very nice service people and great food
Fun band with no cover. Great service. Older crowd.
Cannot beat the Tuesday Mardi Gras menu offered every week. Fried chicken entree for $10 that could easily go for $23. Unique pork slider served on a savory doughnut and delicious mac n cheese. It's been a while since I've been this impressed with food at a restaurant..especially in San Clemente. Service was lovely and ambiance was more exciting than the typical OC restaurant. Looking forward to going back again!
We appreciated the $10 menu options and happy hour priced drinks on Tuesday!
I have been enjoying the food, music, staff and friends at Iva Lees for years. It is the best friendly and entertainment scene in Orange County.
We were there to see a band. The bar dining setup is not good when a band plays as my group of 6 was seated directly in front of the speakers. I mean like 3 ft from someone’s head. We left early.
Awesome place for Dinner, eclectic cocktails and great energy! Food was on point. RC our server was perfect. Callan our bartender makes perfect cocktails. Band and Dancing was amazing. Can't say enough great things.
Wonderful food, cool vib. Shrimp & Grits was amazing...keep a glass of water nearby!

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine’s date night and the food was incredible! Service was a little slow at first but after we got our orders in they always checked in on us. Very friendly. Definitely recommend the velvet cake!
We went on Valentines Day. There were four of us. Not a big fan of the prefix menu however the food was very good. Three courses. Our friends had crab cakes. We choose the salad with fresh strawberries. For the main entree I choose the filet. For desert they had a large variety to choose from. The only negative was the server. We sat out on the patio with heat lamps very quiet and nice however the server rarely stopped by.
Always a fun place to go! Different menu and ambiance from many other restaurants.
The jambalaya and the salmon were terrific. This is a fun place.
I grew up in the South and enjoy restaurants that are southern themed. Iva Lee's has a great menu and lists all the dishes one would hope southern cooks would prepare. The food was well prepared but had a California spin. The taste of the food was somewhat modified which attracts a packed house. Even so, it was good and soothing to my southern tastes and I was very satisfied with the jambalaya and collard greens I had with fine corn bread.
Service was good. Just very busy!
Food was amazing! Got a little loud when band started.
