Very fine Greek cuisine. The grilled octopus appetizer is A+ and big enough for a main.

This restaurant was the best gourmet Greek food in the New England area. I give it my highest recommendation as an upscale romantic restaurant with an excellent wine list. It also has a great bar as well. I travelled all the way from Boston to eat here and it was worth the trip.

We both had grilled fish- a Mediterranean perch-like fish for me and swordfish for my husband. Both excellently prepared. I had pistachio baklava with pistachio ice cream for dessert, and my husband had a three chocolate mousse. Both were yummy! Wait service was very good too.

Wonderful! The food was great and service is terrific. We love the bar side, especially. The lobster/avocado stack and Greek lemon/egg/chicken soup (avgolemono) is fabulous. We'll be back--again and again.

I found that my last experience at Ithaki was not quite as good as it had been on past occasions. Service was exceptional, but the food left something to desire. The description of the entree was exciting, but the actual food was dull and somewhat overcooked.

If you are unable to travel to the Mediterranean, you can still enjoy grilled, tender octopus and moist, char-grilled whole fish in Ipswich, MA!
Menu includes organic dishes w/a perfect blend of modern and traditional food combinations!
Enjoy !!!

Seems like the restaurant has changed since the last visit. Food is more standard versus unique. Still good but not as special as before.

We were a party of eight on a Saturday night. We were welcomed as we entered and we had drinks at the bar while waiting for our table. Table was ready on schedule and also at a window. We had a few shared appetizers before our entrees and the food was outstanding. Great deserts too. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive and professional. A great night out!

The food was just perfect. I haven't enjoyed a meal that much in some time. We especially loved the grilled octopus with the fava bean dip and the whole baked fish.

We were in the area for a short stay. The food was so wonderful, we went back two days later. In the Greek tradition, everything is very fresh and cooked to perfection. The waiter and manager were genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our food. The lamb kebab was spicier than I expected, but still delicious. We also enjoyed the rack of lamb, the pork souvlaki and the the cod - which was so perfectly cooked. The portions are substantial. Unless you have a huge appetite, you might enjoy trying a few appetizers and sharing one of the main dishes.

I chose this restaurant for a family
members birthday. The calamari appetizer was crispy however lacked flavoring. My boyfriend and I ordered the same
meal but my sauce was thick and flavorful and his runny and loose. The fact that the same meal had been brought to the same
table looking / tasting different shows an issue in the kitchen. For the price of the meal
I was disappointed in the lack of attention.

We have been to Ithaki four times, each time better than the last. Nicole, our waitress, was amazing, totally informed about the menu, very excited about working there and provided excellent service. The food was good enough that all four of us savored each bite. Two of us had the cod, one swordfish and one had clam pasta, presented with steamed in the shell as well as clam bits in the pasta. The appetizers were excellent, the short rib app amazing in its succulence. Dessert was a hit as well, which each couple shared one.

We made reservations for 7:15 and arrived at 7:10 and were told we'd be seated in 5min. After asking the hostest a couple times, my wife and I finally sat at 7:45. During our wait we tried to get a drink as we sat at the bar, but the bartenders were very slow. They gave us a drink menu and never came back. The food took a long time to come out but was very good. My wife had cod and I had the lamb shank. Both were fantastic. We got the baklava for desert, which again took an eternity, but was worth the long wait. We didn't get out of there until 9:30 and it was a Tuesday night. The food was amazing but the service was not. The inside of the restaruant is cool too. I'll go back on a weekend when I have all night to eat.

We tried Ithaka Modern after buying a Living Social deal for the restaurant and we were extremely impressed with this little gem. We haven't been to a Greek restaurant in a long time as they have disappointed us in the past, this place will not. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. My daughter has seafood and nuts allergies and my wife has just gone gluten free and the waitress couldn't be more helpful in describing the menu items that they could eat. It's been a long time since we had a waitress that new the entire menu the way she did. My wife had the Salmon with Red Quinoa and loved it!!! I had the special Swordfish that was excellent. My daughter had the Lamb Skewers and also enjoyed it. Definitely will return again.

Have only ever eaten in Dining Room, but tonight we had one more person in our party then was reserved, and rather than wait we agreed to sit at table in bar area. Definitely a bit noisier, but still same great food. Ordered from regular Dinner Menu but noticed that they have a Bar Menu too. We four started with cocktails (try Cucumber Martini!), steamed mussels, hummus with pita. Ate too much bread, but couldn't resist soaking up delicious mussel broth. Two ordered Lamb Skewers: juicy, pink, and cooked as requested. One Moussaka: ground beef, eggplant, potatoes, very silky béchamel, touch of nutmeg. One Lamb Shank: huge bone, lots of meat, very tender, served with orzo. All yummy. No room for desserts. Great server: Michelle. Great meal!

The sixth member of our party was quite late, but the server did not come to suggest appetizers for some twenty minutes.
However, the restaurant is very pleasant, we were seated at once, and service, on the whole was good, if slow at times.

Traditional Greek soup is excellent, as are all lamb dishes. Pork dishes varied...kebab skwer was dry. Excellent swordfish, and all dishes were well presented.
