Salmon Con Capperi
Fresh Broiled Salmon with sun-dried tomato white wine and capers
I've eaten here twice now with friends and the meals have been quite delicious from the starters through the desserts. Pasta dishes have been al dente, very well seasoned and flavorful. I thought even the butter provided with the bread basket was exceptional. We all thought the value for dollar was reasonable as well. In conclusion, our waiter was both charming, attentive and kind.
Fran was amazing! Highly recommend
We love coming here! Always good food and always great service! We hadn’t been in a while and it was like coming home to family!
The food was excellent. We had pasta and it was freshly made and very fresh. Service was also outstanding. Outdoor dining was bar comfortable. A neighborhood gem. Highly recommend it.
Just fantastic. I would go back in an instant. Great find.
Delicious. Hadn't been in a while and went with friends. The service was great and the food plentiful and not super expensive. I'll be back!
I eat quite often at this restaurant. Its solid, no-fuss, inventive italian cooking. In addition to the standard italian menu (including paglia e fieno, a pasta I rarely see on a menu outside of Italy) many of the nightly specials offered are simply home-runs. I recently had dover sole with a parmesan crust, lightly sautéed in white wine and lemon. It was sheer perfection; the fish was not oily or greasy, the fish was flaky and the sauce had the right balance of piquant citrus mellowed by the wine. This restaurant is well worth the visit.
The nicest most accommodating service. The owner cares and oversees everything. The food is excellent every time we have gone here.
Lovely service, delicious food, sweet outdoor dining—lots of privacy. Thanks!
Excelente lugar buena
Wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. Food presentation was very good. My friend ordered the fettuccini carbonara and loved it. I ordered a veal dish (Veal medallions over spinach in a sage sauce.). The sauce had a sweetness which was not what I expected or have experienced before at other restaurants. I have eaten here several times over the years and I was a tad disappointed with my selection. Overall, it was good and I would return but probably not order that dish again.
Hands down our favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Been going here for 10 years. Amazing every time.
I have been eating at this cozy restaurant on and off for well over 10 years and have always been more than satisfied. Interestingly, I found that this past dinner several nights ago was an even greater improvement than previous visits. Their Tricolore Salad was almost double the portion it was in the past and although it tasted very similar to past salads, it was improved! And the same for my main dish Pollo Romano; it was prepared similar to past visits yet the portion was slightly larger and even tastier! The ambience is always sedate and cozy with wonderful service. And for such a small restaurant their menu is quite extensive. This restaurant has never disappointed, and has only gotten better!
The food was fantastic and the service was spot on. A classic New York Italian restaurant
Superb food==I have tried CHICKEN, VEAL. FISH AND PASTA DISHES--ALL SUPERB
It was our first date night in a very long time, and we weren't disappointed. The food was very flavorful and fresh, I especially loved the Bruschetta.
Even in March in New York City, it was nice enough to dine outdoors and they put the heat lamp on so we were very comfortable. The server was very precise and both of us enjoyed our meals. I had salmon and my friend had pasta and we were both pleased! We were happy that we chose a good restaurant with excellent cuisine and outstanding service!
Love this place!!!!!!! And love the food! A real jewel of a find. Soooo happy it survived ❤️
great food! would absolutely return. thank you italianissimo
Amazing food and very COVID-safe.
Had the best experience here! Heaters were incredibly warm (actually had to take my hat off because I was hot), servers were super attentive, and the chef is the owner so when I asked about changing one component of the meal they said they were super happy to accommodate! Cannot say enough good things about this place.
Really enjoyed dinner snd the heaters really kept us warm
Tasty food, offering pleasant service, and an outdoor dining experience.
Spectacular food - and covid-safe, heated outdoor seating!
excellent food, excellent pricing for NYC, attentive waiters. One of my favorites places to eat. Space heaters over each table are hung low from the roof of the outdoor structure so staying warm is not an issue.
Great outdoor set up, varied menu for both food and wine. Great neighborhood spot. Have dined here before and highly recommend it. Food and service are excellent.
Excellent and varied food options, attentive service,
good outdoor structure open on one side but with heaters above tables
Perfect outdoor dining setup! They have a big tent PLUS a heater above EVERY table! I actually started to feel a bit warm - but I wasn't complaining. The minestrone soup was excellent. The grilled snapper with string beans and mashed potatoes was simple but delicious. And the profiteroles were just amazing. The service was superb and the prices so reasonable. I will be doing a lot more outdoor dining there in the coming months!
We had a great dinner at Italianissimo. They have great outdoor seating with heaters and barriers so we felt incredibly safe. The service was wonderful and we were so comfortable. Both of our meals and desserts were phenomenal...will definitely be back!
We've lived close to Italianissimo for a bit and finally made it a priority to try it out - we're very happy we did. They have a great outdoor set up where I felt safely distanced from others and comfortable with the heating lamps. The food was delicious particularly the Snapper and Vitello Alla Sorrentina and the staff was attentive and caring. We'll definitely be back!
Excellent food. Very accommodating. They will even prepare some thing that’s not on the menu if you want. The outside seating is exceptional. Tables are separated by plastic dividers. They are heat lamps on the outside and on the inside.
A terrific find in nyc; good value at a good value. Outdoors seating is proper social distancing and the recently added heaters will help the diner be as comfortable as one can be dining outdoors in colder temperatures.
I had to wait a very long time for my meal, and it was terrible. Also, the prices for food and wine were higher than on their website's menu.
Reasonable enough for everyday and also appropriate for special occasions. Excellent food and varied menu with many daily specials. Always feel there are many items I would love to have.
Nicest staff and charming outdoor space on a quiet side street
Lovely evening. Good food, excellent service! Great job setting up outdoor space.
A gem with the greatest food and wait staff. So worth it. And please support them during this time, it’s a small intimate restaurant. They created beautiful outdoor seating that is covered, partitioned, and heated.
Superb Italian food--very contintental--and unusual dishes--I plan on having food delivered whenever I am unable to dine out.
Dining out: Large heat lamps and dividers between tables.
I heartily recommend this restaurant--I have dined at many of the Italian restaurants in NYC. Italianissimo is at the top of the list-- I heartily recommend for a satisfying
The restaurant has done a wonderful job of creating an inviting outdoor space with privacy and protection for each group of diners.
Consistently great food and service, love this small gem. Please go and support them!
Best food and service always.
