Here, family-friendly takes on new meaning. Let the kids explore the arcade and 1,000-gallon saltwater aquarium while you relax with a glass of red. Salute.
Went to celebrate our anniversary and had the summer $39 per person dinner....it was fantastic and all full size portions . our bartender was fantastic and so friendly he made our dining a pleasure he said he was there 22 years that says a lot for the breakers happy employees make happy guests
Lets be honest, this restaurant is in The Breakers. Things do not get much better than The Breakers. We went here on our recent stay because a reviewer said it was like being in Italy. I have been to Italy 3 times. this was nothing like being in Italy. Start with the very good - the bread. Outstanding. No extra charge for it and it comes with several tasty toppings and butters. My wife ordered a pizza appetizer which she said was good, but, I'm the Italian from New Jersey and I did not think it was good. My wife's shrimp dish left a lot to be desired. The shrimp themselves were excellent but the pasta with white beans and spinach and some kind of sauce didn't taste Italian and in fact didn't taste good to either of us. She ordered from the prix fixe menu and it was a lot of food for the money ($39). My tortellini was very good, the sauce was a spicy meat sauce - a bit too much spice for me but my wife liked it. Now for dessert. Yes, order the S'mores (can't remember the full name - it is s'mores something or other). OUTRAGEOUS! Worth every tasty calorie. Now for the ambiance - our fault here, as the restaurant is in the "family" category at the hotel. It was noisy with several loud children. Not the restaurant's fault, but it ruined our first night experience. This place might be better later on in the evening perhaps when the children are not as likely to be there. It is not that we are old curmudgeons, but we were on a special vacation celebrating a special marriage anniversary and we didn't plan on sharing our great (and very expensive) moment with a bunch of crying children.
Dillon, our server, was fantastic! Food was top-notch! Will definitely be back.
Great spot to let kids play in playroom of young and gameroom if a bit older. It’s pricey in fact over priced but I think typical for being at the breakers. Service is average and friendly, food is average so it seems extra pricey because of the lack of wow. The best menu items we’ve had are the shaved cauliflower salad followed by the veal Milanese. Great overall for kids and families.
Arrival excellent with valet noting parking fee unless Receipt stamped. Foyer carpet and architecture stellar . Seating on time. Nice decor. Some noise to pleasant level from families. Calamari appetizer seemed fresh and tender although a little bland and heavy on breading. (Use Legal Seafood as comparison). Penni vodka pasta had nice cheese sauce and no vodka flavoring . Veal heavily breaded and dry.
Gin and tonic drinks were problematic for bar. Plenty of gin first with soda, then gin on rocks , and finally gin and Tonic which was actually very good.
Server we was attentive and had veal removed from bill withoUt my request.
Steakhouse and seafood restaurant are outstanding. Presumably this place will follow suit.
Fantastic for families with little kids.
Olive garden level food at The Breakers is quite disappointing; especially given the price.
Phenomenal restaurant. This is my fathers favorite restaurant, so we came here for his birthday with friends. Food was amazing, ambiance was amazing, and our server, Dillon, was great. He was funny and super helpful and patient for our party of 10. Overall a great time and will be back!
We like this restaurant as last time we stayed at Breakers we had a very good experience and there is certainly consistency in delivery. The food was great, the best pasta we had in a while and the atmosphere was lovely. The main course took tad longer to arrive, however the quality and taste of food certainly made up for it. We shall be back again when in Palm Beach.
Very noisy environment. Not exactly what I expected. We made it through but it is definitely a family restaurant and not one for couples
Vacation. Server was awesome food was wonderful. We had a wonderful evening! Thank you
The restaurant is located on the grounds of The Breakers Hotel. We found both the service and the food to be outstanding. The restaurant has a very relaxed ambiance and the night that we were there, some diners were dressed formally (jackets & dresses) and others were dressed very casual (golf shirts, tee shirts, jeans & shorts). Though the restaurant is casual, the preparation, presentation and quality of the food is what you would expect from a hotel on the grounds of The Breakers Hotel. They also have a very nice wine selection.
it was our 45th anniversary and it was excellent. the food, the service ,the atmosphere and the people thank you so much for the experiance
Great food. Excellent service. I had the greatest time. Would come back again.
Great restaurant with very solid food options. Also great for kids!
Really nice place. Ideal for family supper. Food delicious!!
This restaurant was by far the worst place I have ever eaten. It maybe part of breakers & charged accordingly but I would have got better food in a fast food outlet. The food was presented badly looked like something that came out of a freezer & was put in the microwave. Shame on you breakers you need to up your game you should be horrified to have such a poor restaurant as part of your resort.
Our server was wonderful and the food was amazing!
First, I read many reviews online and almost cancelled our reservation. Great restaurant for kids - there are many different playrooms and arcade in the same building. Did not find that the restaurant was too loud with kids running around. The kids menu was great - many offerings complete with vegetables and dessert all $16. The food for adults was just ok - some things were very good, most mediocre. The prices were astronomical, and we are used to fine dining. Bruschetta with 3 slices of bread was $14. ridiculous, and the bread just tasted like stale bread. The biggest disappointment was the buffalo mozzarella appetizer. It was the driest piece of mozzarella I have ever eaten. We should have sent it back. It was served like a ball that was dropped and the middle was very dry and crumbly, unlike any mozzarella I have ever eaten. The taste was so-so. Better mozzarella from our local Italian deli. Penne with vodka sauce was very good ($29) but a smallish portion. The arancini was very good. The croutons in the salad were so stale they were inedible, and the salad overall was nothing special. I think the best part of dinner was the dessert: warm chocolate chip cookies (tasted like Mrs. Fields) banana split, 'smores pie and cheesecake were all enjoyed. The total bill was $475 with tip (which they included). Considering there were only 3 entrees purchased, The price of this restaurant is totally not worth it. If you are staying on the premises, I might suggest it, but certainly not worth the visit if you are off property. If you want excellent Italian food try Limoncello in North Palm Beach. Will not go back here, but hotel is beautiful.
As adult only guests, it would have been helpful to know how child friendly this restaurant is. We weren't prepared after having cocktails at HMF.
We have been coming here for years since the kids were small. Every time the food and service have been great. That is why we keep coming back.
Great food, very kid friendly
We absolutely love this restaurant. Even when we don't stay at the hotel, we drive up just to eat here. This time around we came up for our anniversary, this has become our trademark spot to celebrate special occasions. The food is consistently outstanding and the service team is very nice. Definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in South FL.
Over the years this has been the go-to place with kids while staying at the Breakers. Even in the midst of spring break and holiday chaos, the staff keeps its cool and consistently provides good food and service. They are very accommodating of special requests, such as preparing a dish differently than what is on the menu. And of course there is the arcade and the game rooms to keep the kids occupied so the adults can enjoy their meal - along with the little side room with the bar for an almost quiet dinner! We love coming back year after year and seeing familiar faces - like our favorite server Irene!
The food was absolutely delicious!! The restaurant has great ambiance and is kid friendly at the same time. LOVED it!!!
Like the Olive Garden
The service was friendly and very accommodating. Our orders were delivered promptly and the food preparation was better than anticipated. *Just be sure to understand that the atmosphere is more than “kid-friendly”... rather, it is just shy of Chuck E. Cheese’s bedlam. Many of the children happily run free range through the restaurant from their family’s table to the adjacent arcade room, outdoor play area, etc. If this isn’t the atmosphere you’re looking for I’d suggest that you go later in the evening when the younger families thinned out or go elsewhere all together.
Delicious food, friendly staff, great with gluten free allergies
The service was mediocre. It took too long for the food to come out. It is very kid friendly so I will give you credit for that. Also the noise level is quite loud. We have eaten here many times in the past but I didn’t feel we were given the same attentive level of service and the food after waiting so long was somewhat lukewarm. For the prices that they charge I expect more.
A little pricey but great for kids
Great for all ages
With children it is the best place in all Palm Beach
And the food is excellent
I will come back
Yves from France and Palm Beach
everybody's food was extremely salty and almost inedible, very expensive. Server was very nice, not his fault . Such a shame as the other Breakers restaurants are very good
My husband is from Italy. Shocking that a restaurant at the Breakers Hotel can have food this unauthentic and bad, while being very overpriced. Also, it has a very poor wine list.
Need an adult section.
Good for kids. That’s why we go. Kids get Wiki Sticks and a coloring book and crayons and grapes and fruit and cheese. Food is perfectly ok - standard fare - but overpriced because it’s at The Breakers ... but for parents it’s worth the kids playing in the arcade while you order dinner and linger over your drink and appetizer and have a peaceful meal. Kids get a dessert with their dinner and then you can stop at the very nice playground to let the kids blow off steam on your way out. There is a free parking lot to the side if you are just going to The Italian Restaurant for dinner - no need to valet park.
Food was salty and very commercial. My pasta side was not what I ordered and I was nearly finished with my main before our waitress checked in to find out about it. Also with no remorse.
