Italian Kitchen - Vancouver Ratings and Reviews
The service was wonderful. Staff are friendly and fun The new location is beautiful and stylish. The food is only OK, I wasn't impressed with it. I thought it was good but nothing special. I was very disappointed in the menu for dine out Vancouver and the menu choices. i don't know that I would go back to this restaurant.
We went for an 8:45 reservation and didn't end up leaving until close to 11:30. The service was extremely slow even though it wasn't very busy. I would not pick this location if you are in a hurry. It may be that they are still trying to get the post-move kinks out but even with dine-out in effect (we didn't order off the dine-out menu) the food and drinks took forever to come. I had to remind the server about an espresso and by the time I got it, it was cold. For dinner we ordered the full rack of lamb and requested medium. It was well done and unfortunately ruined the lamb. I shouldn't have to complain when they pre-slice the lamb and it's obviously way overdone. That was the most disappointing part. Other than that, all the pasta was fantastic as usual and so were the desserts. I'll wait a while before going back.
We unfortunately chose the first night of dine out Vancouver for dinner here.
I had been before and it was much quieter and I think less tables close together.
Food was excellent and service (Erica) was professional and exceptional.
Would return again, just not during dine out...
Service was fantastic. We didn't like our Antipasti selection and this was graciously changed at free of charge to a appetizer selection our server felt we would love. Definitely the emphasis is on serving phenomenal food and they prioritize service and quality. Would definitely go back.
The only issue was that my Fennel Pollen Casoncelli (duck confit) was a bit too salty.
I don't care though, i'm going back as often as i can because i love this place. plus i got a great wine recommendation :) :)
The new location is superb. The service staff was prompt and friendly. The food was fantastic as usual. Unfortunately the hostess was not helpful at the end of the night. After retrieving my coat she just handed it to me instead of offering to help put it on. It was sort of rude as she was not busy with other customers. Other than that little blimp, it was a wonderful night.
I have been to your last location many times and love it this time at this location seem different not the same feeling ,we also got charge $17 glass for of wine which we order was only$10 a glass .We are from Victoria and we come over for my wife birthday Dec. 27 every year and have been coming to your place this time was not a good experience .
Every topic (food, service, ambience) was great but with one not so great aspect which would affect the overall experience. So that wouldn’t work for a foodie — unless they had the Truffle Spaghetti— which was stellar! Our server was excellent but the auxiliary staff not so much. We were a group of interior designers — so hard to not notice some dated finishes/design.
Very good service. We shared a caprese salad. tomatoes with basil and burrata. Ingredients fresh. Lacked basil and portion was small. I had the seafood linguine which was excellent lobster, prawns, and scallops cooked perfectly. My wife had the truffle spaghetti and meatballs very tasty. Extensive wine list but pricey.
I am unimpressed with this place , at least for lunch . This was first time at new location and I hadn’t been to Alberni Street for a while . I found the menu too limited . AND they did not have the sautéed sprouts . The salad I ordered was disappointing . My son ordered carbonara and enjoyed it . No surprise but price was quite high but no longer justified . Service was OK . Noise level was fine . Location is very good .
Impressed with the new location and menu. The food was excellent and service very good. A big upgrade on the Albernie location, especially the food. This is the for top food and service of all the Glowbal restaurants. Hopefully the others can learn from who ever is running this place.
Was excited to see that Italian Kitchen was back! So many good meals there in the past. Lived up to our memory in every way except found the lighting too bright in the dining room center. Would ask for a window seat next time and in summer look forward to experience the patio. Overall can't wait to return
Classy downtown business restaurant with proper professional waiters, white tablecloths, excellent food and wine. A bit noisy if you're seated in the middle, but it's also the best place to feel part of the action. It's going to be one of my go-to places from now on.
We went there from time to time. Food is alright and service usually is really attentive. I think it is kinda busy there tonight ( Sunday Oct 22,2017), the waiter keep rushing us to order the main course even we told him 3 times that one of our friend isn't arrived yet. And we do order a bottle of wine and 3 appetites already. Really disappointed
