Italia Mia Restaurant & Pizzeria

Good food : a choice of pasta, pizza , and meat and fish dishes. Freshly cooked & very good value. We have been there about 5 times now & it seems to be getting more popular. Better food & service than the usual Italian chains.

I visited with a friend and we were well looked after. There is a lovely atmosphere and the food is delicious (and beautifully presented!). I thoroughly recommend a visit here and can't wait to return :)

A party of 7 of us went to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday. A friend recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was great, lovely food and excellent value for money, we would certainly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back again.

Went based on wanting to try something new in the area and reviews on here and tripadvisor. Lovely meal. Good portions, pasta was cooked perfectly would recommend and visit again.

We had an evening out with our two children and friends and had a fantastic meal. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a good range of food on the menu to cater for different tastes and diets e.g. vegetarian dishes. We had a starter and main meal and had no complaints, good value and large portions. We first visited this establishment when it reopened as an Italian and were not impressed, but since the management has changed and they have a pizza oven its made a massive difference.

Very much enjoyed our visit to Italia Mia. A good variety of choice, relaxed atmosphere and all served with genuine hospitality.

I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about to be perfectly honest, I didn't find this anything special. Just a personal opinion but I wasn't keen on the look of the place, it felt a bit like a canteen / cafe rather than an Italian restaurant.
2 of us had the starter Melanzana in Barchetta which was like a bruschetta with pine nuts, raisins and goats cheese which was so bland I couldn't name an ingredient if I had a blind taste test. both of us left most of it. The main dish of mushroom risotto was tasty however I felt there was little imagination to all main dishes unless you love seafood. As a vegetarian I always feel comfortable ordering from an Italian menu but this only had 2 dishes, one being a pizza. I felt disappointed by this and I know a lot of vegetarians that don't like mushrooms (strange I know!) so more thought should have been put into the choices.
If that was the only issue they would have got a higher rating but to be honest I wasn't impressed with the food or the venue and the 4 of us managed to spend over £160 which isn't really great value either. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend I'm afraid.

We have had 3 meals here, & we have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the good value, additionally wine is good value. The staff are very friendly and attentive. A nice restaurant with a large menu.
