I ordered the french toast and was really good! worth the money.
Everything was amazing from the food to our waiter , Mustafa. He made sure we had everything we needed and he was so special to our son. Thank you for a wonderful vacation memory :)
Food was excellent!
Food and service were good but the floor was extremely dirty with food and trash leftover from breakfast. Should have been cleaned up immediately but I think they waited until we left.
Had breakfast before going to the parks. French toast, pancakes, and omelet. All delicious. Pretty pricey for breakfast, cost $50 plus tip. Dinner the night before at Vivo for 3 was $50 plus tip so same price. Expensive but very yummy. Good amount of food.
John was attentive & kind. Thank you for brightening our day with your positive demeanor!
My favorite dish was the Salmon!
My family and I had a great meal and the service was great.
The dinner menu is small and limited, and if you don’t like Asian-inspired fare, walk across the hall to Jake’s, which offers American food such as burgers. You might even be able to order from Jake’s menu and have it served at Islands. My salmon bowl off the Islands dinner menu was fresh and delicious, and the bread pudding dessert was decadent. My classic margarita on the rocks was excellent. Our server was friendly and very well trained. We also had breakfast there a couple of days later, and if you have a sweet tooth, order the Tahitian French Toast — decadent and delicious!
I understand things are not normal at the moment, but we booked here for my birthday dinner and the menu was completely different from what was online. In fact it was the menu to the restaurant across the hall, Jakes. I was incredibly disappointed by that. We would have eaten elsewhere had we known this. Service was fine, but I was so disappointed to end up ordering fish and chips, the only thing I was able to eat in the menu, when I had intended to eat Asian fare.
Overall very disappointing.
Food was cooked to perfection. Beef was tender. Waiter was supper great. Took great care of my party.
Armando was wonderfully accommodating as were the hostess and water person. Thanks
Just not what we were expecting. The food was mediocre at best.
Service and food was great!
This place isn’t good. The wok thing is like supermarket stir fry. Way better options, including Panda Express in food court at city walk.
I was actually a little disappointed in the food I ordered. I got the Krab Rangon as an appetizer. The filling was tasty with a good amount of crab meat but I though they were overdone. I ordered the Fried Rice as my entree. It was standard fried rice, nothing special. Presentation was nice. It came with shrimp laid across the top of the rice but they were bland and lukewarm. I would not order this again. There are many great restaurants at the Universal resorts but unfortunately this was not one of them.
New Year’s Eve dinner occasion . Quiet and very expensive. Food good but atmosphere was poor and little by way of celebration. Will not repeat.
Service was not good, forgot a kids’ meal. Especially considering the dining room was half-full. That said, our server was very nice about it and comped the entree
Had a reservation, but waited 10 min to be seated in a very empty dining room. It took 45 min to get our food. Waiter was very apologetic for this. My entree had hair crusted into the tofu. My children all ordered sides of steamed broccoli, and it came out almost raw. Our waiter asked about our meal, so I shared feedback and the meal was comp’d except for my drink.
I normally would have given this location 5 stars as we've always had amazing service and experience. Christmas night was a character dinner and that was not disclosed prior to us sitting down. They were busy but not swamped and after 15 minutes we had to find our server. When I made the reservation I was also not told it was buffet only and speciality buffet at that. That being said hopefully it was just a one time thing and we can return on our next trip to enjoy dinner or brunch as we have in the past. Happy Holidays!
Superb Xmas day brunch
Food was outstanding something for everyone
Moustapha and Phillip did a great job
Great food! Something for everyone
The food was great, service fabulous, and the characters made sure they spent some quality time at each and every table. It all adds up to a memorable experience each and every time we go
We always love to eat here!
Great food, enjoyed the buffet and custom wok meal.
Yasir is amazing! Ask for him as he is knowledgeable and courteous. We had the general sos chicken and did the wok experience (like a pasta or omelette station but asian). Awesome food and service!
Thanksgiving buffet was absolutely amazing! We were all so impressed and very satisfied. What a great deal and a special way to spend the Holiday.
Didn’t bother saying anything there, but since you asked. The Thanksgiving buffet, I wouldn’t even compare to Golden Corral. It was the worst food I have ever had! Gross and won’t be returning! Literally everything was bad. They had people that didn’t know how to even carve turkey or ham. The kids section had pizza and the cheese was all settled and cold. Crab legs still had frozen parts to them. Not kept clean and folding tables used all over. Low budget across the board. They should be embarrassed!
We went here for Thanksgiving and our server was phenomenal. Her name was Demi at the Royal Pacific Thanksgiving buffet. She exceeded our expectations. This was our first time having a holiday meal at the resorts and because of Demi we will be making this a new family tradition. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.
There is a Wok Experience on Friday and Saturday. This was a key reason to choose this restaurant. We had our adult children with us and the all you can eat is a great option. This was a family dinner where we wanted to spend time catching up. We had four who want the Wok Experience and two who ordered off menu. This is where the situation fell apart. There was only one chef making the wok dishes. The wait was twenty to thirty minutes. We went in shifts so the communication was destroyed as the wait ruined the conversation flow. This may have been understandable if the restaurant was full but it was only 35%. We enjoyed the food, but were very disappointed overall.
We have two people in our party who are gluten free and our server was amazingly knowledgeable. Food was good. They brought food out for our very hungry 5yo quickly and we had a good time.
Really enjoyed Islands. It was very quiet and no need for reservation on a Thursday night. Food was great. Kids loved the sushi and our server steered us to the best dishes.
This was a very disappointing experience.
We waited an hour for our food, my steak was well done instead of medium rare, my comment about my daughter's birthday was completely ignored.
9pm at night people were setting up breakfast tables all around us....
Excellent dinner, service was great, the beef dish out of this world
Service was outstanding, they gave themselves an 18% tip due to large party. Atmosphere outstanding. Beautiful view of the pool area. Good for vegans and people with allergies, they can accommodate with a decent variety. I was told they only serve fresh, not frozen fish, and that it tastes good. But it tasted very fishy and killed the experience for me.
I chose the Wok Experience ; there wasn’t much of a variety , which I was aware about, and that’s my fault. The soups though, looked awful and dull. I didn’t even want to taste it. As for the actually wok and stir fry, I wish there was more than one cook attending customers, and I suggestion I’d make is that if the customer chooses rice, please more sauce in the wok. I chose rice with Thai peanut and beef, and bc the cook didn’t put enough sauce, the rice absorbed a lot of it, and it was bland. Or, you can ask if the customer wants to keep the rice separate.
Wonderful! Great food and ambiance!
