My husband stated it was the best meal he had ever eaten. The rib eye was delicious and cooked perfectly! Ambiance and service were wonderful. Hope the are allowed to reopen soon.

THE best restaurant we’ve tried in the San Diego area. It was our anniversary and they came to the table, said happy anniversary and bought out delicious (free) dessert. The service and ambiance was really impeccable and the food was phenomenal!

Wonderful Dinner

We wanted to love this place but left feeling very disappointed. Server did not seem happy to be there/we felt bad asking for anything because of the vibe we were getting from her. The famous popovers had run out, when we asked the employee, he said they only planned to have 50 guests that night... poor planning. The mac and cheese was so disgusting, we even saw another table had sent it back. Walked out with a $225 bill and felt it was not worth it. Kind of was a damper on a birthday dinner to an otherwise perfect day.

It seems the art of waiting table is being lost. Our waiter seemed to have a lack of personality & knowledge of the food being served. Any information provided was almost pride out of him. When one is spending over $100 a head for a special occasion, there is a higher expectation of service. The setting was absolutely, incredibly beautiful.

Fabulous service and food as always!

It was a great dining experience. We always request Courtney as our server as she is always a pleasure. The food was good, ambiance and view amazing and the staff is always professional and friendly.

I wasn’t disappointed with the view but unfortunately I was with the food. My son asked for a steak medium well & it was as if he asked for well done. The appetizer stayed roasted garlic but we couldn’t find the garlic & my risotto scallops should of been named risotto instead of seared scallops because it’s only served with three scallops. We filled up with bread because all of our entrees were not enough for the price.

Date was with my beautiful wife of 18 years. We love the ambiance of the floating dining area but mostly love the food. Rib-eye was amazing.

After getting the lobster I came down with food positioning which for how expensive it was is completely ridiculous. Other than that, everything else was great.

Excellent. Exactly how I pictured it met my request for my Anniversary.

Steak was poor

Definitely loved this “pop up” restaurant. The view and ambiance was amazing, I mean who could argue when you are right on the water with downtown SD as your view?!? Food was amazing and the service was great!

The thanksgiving menu was such a good deal and the food was absolutely amazing along with the gorgeous view! It was so peaceful and a wonderful experience.

Overall it was blah. Ate there on Thanksgiving, my food was mediocre, my children enjoyed their steaks. Not worth the amount I paid. Ambience was nice. No heaters for outside dining. My daughter had a piece of plastic in her salad that the waiter barely acknowledged, disappointing. Expected better, likely won't return.

Thanksgiving dinner with the Family

Server took forever to even come to our table.

We went for Thanksgiving as we have done in the past. They did a great job of creating a wonderful outdoor setting because of Covid restrictions. It was all downhill from there. Our server was missing for the entire meal. We asked several times for water refill, bread, the status of our drink order, etc. Other servers would help us out. The meal was a prix fixed menu with a few choices at each course. The food tasted ok but took way too long to be served. Unfortunately we won’t be returning as there are so many other restaurants to choose from.

It was a tasty dinner surrounded by my two of my children. The ambiance was great and the views are spectacular.

The views were amazing just like the food and service. We had an amazing time.

That meal could not have been better, absolutely made Thanksgiving. Sat right on the water, socially distance from everyone, outdoors. both of us had the free-range chicken Thanksgiving dinner with mushroom stuffing that must have been cooked in the bird It was perfect. Mashed potatoes green beans, and a orange cranberry relish. had a couple of desserts the pumpkin pie was very good but the New York apple crumble cheesecake was worth selling your soul for even after being full. had to go for an hour-long walk before getting in my car so as not to immediately need a nap upon getting home. Well worth it would do it again for Thanksgiving dinner.

Overall experience is great. I believe the price is a bit more expensive. But what turns me off is the 4% extra service charge. For the price charge the 4% extra service charge gives me 2nd thoughts of coming back.

They did an outstanding job especially with Covid restrictions!

We love the Pop-Up version on the barge at Coastera, this time the fog came in slowly so made for a unique transition from beautiful city lights reflecting on the water to total darkness ! As always the food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Steak, lobster and the Caesar salad.

The outdoor space behind Coasterra is where Island Prime is set up. You have a gorgeous view of the San Diego skyline. The food was excellent, as you would expect from Island Prime. The service was outstanding. They have sufficient heating to keep it pleasant since you are out in the open. It was a great evening, highly recommend!

Island Prime does a good job working with the current dining restrictions. The barge where their dining is held is adequate for dining with a great view of the city. Service was very attentive and food was very good. Ambiance is limited but understood.

We look forward to dining again when the world is not out of its mind and our society can hopefully return to our new normal.

Filet mignon was GREAT. They did their best to make us feel special on our anniversary. Definitely recommend.

Board meeting and it was great. The food and service were amazing. The outdoor setup was perfect. I like sitting outside rather than inside because what’s better than the views of the San Diego skyline?

Great date atmosphere. Heating lamps were a little too warm though.
