Valentine’s Date Celebration, it was quiet and romantic. We got a window seat, the view was beautiful. Everything was delicious!!!

This was my first time trying out this place. First off, there are only a few self parking spots, all the rest are valet. It is situated right on the harbor with beautiful views of downtown San Diego. I would suggest the wedge salad as an appetizer, it's huge! Bread is delicious! We ordered scallops and the steak trio for our main course, both were good. They also have a nice selection for dessert. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

The setting on San Diego Bay is spectacular. The hostess was very accommodating. The waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing. The food was creatively prepared. The pineapple upside-down cake served four.

There was a large group that was loud and obnoxious and it took quite awhile before management asked them to quiet down. It definitely impacted our dining experience.

One of our favorite dining spots for special occasions (ie birthday, valentines, etc). Amazing view of downtown San Diego skyline. Food is always amazing. We always get steak, but couldnt this time as our dinner date fell on a friday (Lent), so were forced to branch out and everything was amazing, even the brussel sprouts (which I normally dont like) were great. Great ambience fairly quiet. I usually dress up a bit, but you see people in shorts and polo shirts there as well.

Ambiance was amazing and the view is to die for. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match. The lobster bisque was ok, I’ve had better, and the same could be said about the oysters rockerfeller. My scallops were decent, but the beurre blanc sauce was so sour, it was hard to eat! And the fried risotto was so bland. Didn’t risk having dessert, which is very unlike me, but I didn’t want to pay more money for food that continued to disappoint.

We enjoyed dinner at Island Prime while in San Diego on a quick vacation/business trip. As regular diners at higher-end restaurants we found the food to be excellent and thoroughly enjoyed the unique and vast wine list. A few recommendations though for the management at Island Prime. 1. At this price point I would have expected more polished servers who were better trained in the art of serving during a fine dining experience. The servers were fine, I would have just expected a more elevated skill set. 2. The restaurant was especially warm as well - which made it had to enjoy the meal. 3. The additional add -on expense on the bill of 3% for "offsetting increasing costs" was a surprise. Although we rolled with it, I could see a lot of folks being surprised by this. Reprint your menu and include it there so you save yourself some uncomfortable conversations. 4. We arrived early in order to enjoy C-Level which we had researched on your website. The site led us to believe that it was a separate lounge with plenty of space and seating. What we found was that C-Level was just your bar area with a total of about 10-12 seats. We never did get to sit down. You might rethink how this is marketed on your site as all of the tables around the bar were for diners, not for use by bar/lounge patrons.
