Service and ambiance were good. Food was a little salty for my liking.
Good value
Fun atmosphere. Great Mexican food and cocktails.
The food is always good here never disappoints
Was a fun place for a group. Sharing small taco plates and other shareables made for a fun event.
I was a great restaurant to be with family! The food was good! Would go again!
Two thumbs up!
Loved it! Great food and fun decor. 100% recommend.
Good food, service and ambience. Margaritas were mainly ice cubes and not much drink. Extremely loud so not good for a large group if you want to talk together. I imagine it is fine for a small group and ask for no ice in your margarita...
Isalita never disappoints! We have enjoyed dining there for over five years and have never had a bad meal. Service is consistently good and the food is always creative and delicious.
Unfortunately, it was too loud to carry on a conversation. I was worn out from straining to hear.
Pricey but delicious! I wish it wasn't $8 for a margarita that is legitimately in a whiskey glass (with ice) making it 7oz of drink.
Went there for Mother's Day dinner. We had a large group of 11 people. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, and the service was great. A pleasant dinner experience!
We had a great mother’s day brunch sharing tacos, guacamole and sampling delicious margaritas. All food from appetizers to dessert were freshly prepared with awesome flavors. Service was efficient, professional and done with a smile! We will definitely be back!
Certain dishes were amazing, other dishes were okay. We order burrito bowls and they took very long to come to the table. However, the service was very kind and courteous. Love the ambiance and the margaritas
Super fun atmosphere with lots of good choices for sharing small plates.
Went here for my graduation, and it was great. We made a reservation for 9 and they seated us promptly and we had great service. I would highly recommend!
Great lunch and walking distance from Hands on Museum for kids too!
Isalita has been one of my favorites since it opened. our server was excellent! (don't know what his name is but he was a perfect combo of attentive/caring but not overbearing). this was my first time there for brunch - they have 4 brunch items available that are breakfast focused on top of the regular lunch menu. i got the huevos divorciado - i thought it was really great, awesome flavors, but not heavy at all, very satisfying and tasty. their avocado toast was also really good. the only thing that was disappointing is the fact that they've changed their tacos al pastor which used to be one of my favorite tacos anywhere but now they do it with chopped up pork rather than the strip of pork belly, still a good taco but very unmemorable compared to the pork belly version. overall, we had a very nice easter brunch there! drinks are always very good! they do an excellent margarita!
Easter Brunch
Great food .. excellent customer service! Fish tacos, burrito now and the chicken chimichanga were top notch. We ordered a variety of different things those were definitely our favorite!
Took our son and his roommates out for dinner. The tacos were amazing! Something for everyone (the cauliflower tacos were great for the vegetarians in the group). All the items are great for sharing. The green salsa in the salsa trio was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try a few other things we were too full to order.
It was a nice time but we were seated at the same time as a 10 top and the waiter was attentive to that table so our 5 top lacked good service. Our food came out quickly though they did not have the verde pozole that I wanted. Portions did not quite match the price but everything was delicious.
The food was great with good variety. There really weren't many options for kids who don't like spice. The sangria are great. Fun atmoaphere.
Everyone was great and the food was awesome. I especially enjoyed the bottomless blood orange mimosas!
We had an Open Table reservation, the restaurant was very quiet and they sat our group of 4 in the dark back corner of the restaurant instead of at one of the many open tables near the front. I’ve eaten many times at Mani and Mikette and expected the service to be similar, it was not. The waiter took away silverware and plates while we were eating and didn’t bring replacements. Food is good but everything else was a dissapoinment. Will not return.
Delicious food--don't miss the Crispy Mushroom Quesadillas (actually more an empanada, btw).
Margaritas were strong, chips warm, thick and salty--perfect. A few of our entrees took way too long to come out--but the waiter did the right thing and apologized and comp'd them. All in all, I will absolutely go back to this nice spot in Ann Arbor!
I've been coming to Isalita for years and it's never disappointed. Some favorites of mine are the tuna tostadas, baja fish tacos, crunchy tacos, elote, adobo chicken fajitas, chopped salad, and truffle guac. They also have a great selection of tequilas. The bartenders and wait staff are friendly every time. We also request that they make fried jalapenos even though it's not on their menu and they always do it for us. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and ambiance.
Always pleased with the food service and atmosphere great place good options and perfect portions.
Great waiter with tastes recommendations.
Hostess accommodated us easily despite the change in number from the reservation. We also appreciated the quiet-ish table. Food, as always, was great. Our out-of-town visitor, a vegetarian, was VERY impressed.
Nice ambience, service and great food.
Very noisy. We had requested (reserved) a table for 7 adults. They tried to squash us into a small table for 6. Eventually we were offered a table in the basement, which had plenty of room for us. Not sure why we weren't told when booking that it would be a tiny table? Food OK, well better than OK but service was slow - that may have been because we were in the basement? Not hurrying back.
Made a reservation for a Taco Tuesday birthday. Was then told I couldn't get Taco Tuesday deals unless I was at the bar.
Definitely not worth the money. The servers were all grumpy and no one smiled or acted like they were remotely happy to be there. I think happy hour would be worth the money, but just a regular dinner, you'll leave hungry and broke. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. The drinks were strong.
My server was excellent. She was attentive and not pushy, she knew every menu item and had high standards in her service. Her service was impeccable.
Consistently good food. Good happy hour deals on drinks and food.
Great fun. Terrific food. Wonderful service (Jess, our server, was terrific!) Just an all-around wonderful Mexican restaurant. (Don't expect "beans and burritos," bro!)
Dependable, current with trends and market demands...however...pretty loud atmosphere which will altar my visits with certain clientele. Became quite loud at times,
We were seated downstairs at the large round table for a work dinner prior to a work related event. The family style tapas, delivered when it's hot, and lazy susan made for a fun relaxed atmosphere as individuals who didn't know each other got to share mutual interests, food tastes, and laughter. The acoustics made it a bit difficult to hear someone from across the table, but we were ready to raise our voices to fit the energy of the atmosphere and the strength of the fabulously tasting bites and bits. No one left hungry and all of our mouths had been introduces to varied flavors, each of which was delicious.
One thing to note: the hostess forgot to tell the server that we had arrived and since the only traffic downstairs is to and from the shared bathroom with Mani, we weren't noticed until we notified the hostess. She graciously accepted fault and our waiter was prompt and attentive from there on out.
Went for a birthday dinner after the Michigan spring game. Love the atmosphere and the service and food are both amazing.
