This is by far the best tapas restaurant I've ever been to. Great food, wonderful staff, and a friendly atmosphere made this the perfect place to propose to my fiancée. I asked one of the waitresses to bring out the ring along with the check for dinner. Alex, bless her, did one better and brought it out with dessert. She placed my fiancée's actual dessert on the table, then said she made a mistake, moving aside the dessert to place a plate with the box that held the ring. It was perfectly executed and I couldn't have asked for a better waitress. We were treated to a round of applause from the other patrons and excellent complimentary champagne (that we are going to have at the wedding) from the Isabella's staff. Thank you for making this such a wonderful night. We are definitely coming back.

Booked this restaurant thinking it was part of Mike Isabella's restaurant group (Top Chef finalist). It wasn't but it was great anyway! Spanish entrees like bacon-wrapped scallops were delicious! Lots of wonderful tapas/small plates to choose from. Our server, Sedat, was wonderful. The desserts were delicious! There are alot of nice restaurants in Frederick but I'd return then next time in that town.

The food was very good. I felt rushed by the waiter. The restaurant was busy so maybe they wanted us to hurry up and eat and get out. Waiter never offered dessert or coffee. I’ll go back because the food is great but hopefully won’t have such a pushy waiter.

Most of the dishes we ordered were excelkent. The only exception was the black-footed pig. It didnt taste anyrhing like what we have had both at Isabellas and other places. Tasted lime plain old pork. Very disappointing. Everything else was very good though.

The waiter was great, very attentive and kept the water glass filled, I got my wine right away and got my gazpacho and asparagus fries very soon. He was ready with the bill as soon as he knew I was ready.

My parents and I went for brunch on Easter. The food, as always, was delicious! I ordered the empanada with chorizo and crab, and loved it! The crust was flaky, the chorizo was very flavorful and mixed really well with the crab. Dad ordered from the Easter brunch menu and got the short ribs eggs benedict--very, very tasty. Mom ordered the huevos rancheros and loved them, and we ordered the stuffed French toast from the Easter menu for the table. Without a doubt, that was the best dish we had--the stuffing was a lemon cream cheese, and it was topped with berries that made a delicious contrast.

The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, and while we were seated at the back of the dining room near the fireplace, it wasn't claustrophobic.

12/10 will go again for any reason!

Easter Sunday reservation. Table was ready even though we were slightly early. Service was attentive despite larger than usual crowd. Food order came out sooner than expected and everything was delicious.

Had never been there for breakfast/brunch before and was pleassntly surprised. Everything was delicious! We all enjoyed our meals. Coffee was fresh every pour and not bitter.

This place does a dynamite Sunday Brunch. The menu was comprehensive and the wait staff is efficient and polite. We lacked for nothing. The Bloody Mary I ordered came with Old Bay seasoning and no pepper. It was spot on.

The food was great. The price was right and our waitress was awesome! She explained the tapas experience, she was always there when we needed her and we never had to wait on anything, our glasses were always full. She was top notch! We had a wonderful experience at Isabella’s for my daughters 18th birthday. Thank you!

My husband and I went for an early lunch, and, as always, the food was fantastic. We had great customer service, it was quiet and not overly busy. A meal can get expensive if you get a lot of Tapas plates, but the quality of the food makes it totally worth it. Great for a date night or a meal out with friends.

We always have a great time and a great meal at Isabella's. Every small plates dish we've ever had has been delicious. The service is always very good. Last Sunday, we went for brunch with friends. They did tapas and we did eggs/omlette from their special Brunch menu. Everyone loved their food. Unique Bloody Marys were also wonderful. And, though the place was packed and our waiter said he was handling 12 tables, he was truly masterful in the service he provided to us and the kitchen's efficiency had all our food promptly delivered, nice and hot. Double thumbs up!!

Isabella's offers both a friendly bar, a medium dinning area and a smaller room called the flower room for small tables. Much quieter in there and a great place for a date over tapas. Wine list is great and matches the Spanish influenced menu

Food was excellent, enjoyed everything we tried! Asparagus, spinach and Brussels sprouts were terrific. Artichoke w crab was great, salmon very tasty, weakest meat was the filet. Would go back again, but get way less food than suggested by the waiter.

We went to Sunday brunch for the restaurant week menu. The value of the menu was fantastic and varied, offering many options. The fried asparagus is amazing and I love the sauce that goes with it. A+ for presentation, too. The Paella was NOT GOOD at all. Very buttery, oily, and fatty. It was so greasy that it was shiny. I couldn't eat it at all and the waiter didn't seem to notice at all, offering me a take home box, which I didn't accept. I've had many versions of Paella, including many in Spain, and have never had something this greasy or heavy. The flourless chocolate cake was delightful and yummy! The atmosphere is very nice and service is good.

Had reservations for 7 PM, but didn’t get seated until 7:40. Another couple had reservations for 7:15 PM was seated before us. Didn’t have some items on the menu. Waiter was good, but the food was just okay. I was looking forward to going here, but was disappointed in the end.

We had a great experience! We sampled various tapas and each were delicious....Spanish blue cheese, fried asparagus, artichokes with crab, brussel sprouts with balsamic, short rib toasts, tres leches cake for dessert. Service was great! We were able to sit and chat for hours and we were not rushed to leave. Would definitely go back!

Bustling place, right on the main strip. Good variety of offerings and authentic flavor profiles, but customizable to various tastes or special diets. We tried the individual paella and it was quite a huge portion. Very tasty and satisfying. We also split some appetizers, including their signature fried asparagus with creamy dip served in a champagne flute and the crave-worthy shrimp with onion and garlic. Dessert was flan and flourless chocolate cake. The stand-out was their sangria flight that included three varieties in good size glasses. The wait staff was also very friendly. One friend ordered a dish that was different than she expected and it was replaced immediately without any fuss.

We visited Isabella's for lunch during Frederick Restaurant Week. We had a great time, the food was tasty, and the server was attentive. We were allowed to have two appetizers/tapas if we did not want to have dessert. The Paella de Pollo y Champinones was super delish but it was a lot of food. All of us had to take leftovers home. It was a fun group outing for us.

Another first time visit thanks to restaurant week. $15 three course lunch was an excellent value, and the normal pricing seemed decent too.

First courses were sizzling shrimp in a garlic olive oil and carmelized onion base, and a chorizo with mashed potatoes. Not huge portions, but both were good.

Our main courses were a huge rice chicken and mushroom paella, and the pasta of the day was chicken bow tie pasta with mushrooms and feta. Paella was ok, but nothing we’d order again.

Desserts were a good flan and a fantastic tres leches.

We’d eat here again.

I stopped by for Restaurant Week and will come back again. The lunch special looks great (choice of tapas for a set $10.99). The restaurant week menu included 1 tapas, 1 entree and a dessert. I got Gambas al Pil Pil, which was perfectly spiced, with shrimp garlic and carmelized onions. My entree was the pasta of the day. Forget Italian pasta. this was hearty, spicy and perfect. My dessert was the flourless chocolate cake, which completed the meal with an exclamation point. Next time, I'm bringing friends and we are going to do all tapas. So worth going!

Isabella's never disappoints. We had a variety of 6 or 7 tapas and desert and each one was delightful. The lamb meatballs (a special one of the tapas on Saturday 3/3/18) were particularly good. The house red wine was very good and we really enjoyed the caramel brownie desert. All in all, it was a most enjoyable mea.

We live in DC so have very good tapas restaurants (thanks Jose Andres) and have many other good options. This place was decent, but not great comparatively. Food was overly salty and my wife's tuna was very fishy. Prices were decent.

We really enjoyed all the tapas at Isabella’s. This was our first visit, and our server Joey made it great. He was attentive and engaging while getting the job done. The table bussers were also omnipresent - vital for the dirty plate flow in a tapas bar. Spanish wines were top drawer. Hallmark fried asparagus spears are a must order item, and we double-tapped the chipotle angus beef mini-sliders, too. One glitch: we arrived ten minutes early and even though we used our Open Table reservation details, the restaurant called us a “no show”. That led to the passive-aggressive, somewhat-pedantic emails from Open Table about how diners should behave. After I corrected that and Open Table backed off a bit, we could better enjoy the show we were in Frederick to see. That whole no-show shaming process has got to go.
