Food is good as always love this place but service was a little slow as there was only 2 servers and it took them awhile to get around

This lovely restaurant has become one of my favorites in Wilkes-Barre. Great food, good wine and terrific service. I was treated as an old friend. I will go there every time I am in WB.

The charcuterie board was delicious; however, the main courses arrived cold when served. We sent the seafood fra diavolo back because all of the seafood was cold. The steak entree we ordered was on the cold side when it arrived at the table as well...Overall, we were very disappointed.

Very cool atmosphere, being an old bank building there's a huge walk-in safe behind the bar. Decent wine list and creative specialty cocktail selection.

This was the best meal we have had since restaurants closed because of Covid. The staff was attentive. We each had a salad and an entree and the dishes were visually appealing and delicious. The drinks and wine were also very good. We will be going back to Isabella again.

Had a delicious dinner....watermelon salad and crab gratin appetizers....steak frites and the duck w/ risotto. Everything was seasoned perfectly....we will definitely be back.

We often go to PA and eat at Mohegan Sun...there restaurants are limited especially with COVID...went to Isabellas , the menu sounded awesome. Went in greeted by a very happy Michelle (our server and bartender) who was fantastic and cheery...ordered apps..wine and main course...each better than the last. Food was phenomenal...we come from NY and eat at some really great restaurants but Isabellas is up there with the best of them. Come to find out this hidden gem has been there for many many years...they get all kinds of fish that come from fresh from all over and the chef does wonders with all the dishes. We will be back and look forward to another great experience and fantastic meal. This is a MUST GO TO !!!

Outstanding food & service every visit

Delicious! We always enjoy our dinner here. It was Feb 15th and there was a “special” menu because of Valentine’s Day the previous day and that was a bummer but we still enjoyed everything. Keep it up, Isabella!

Room was very cold. Heater vent made continuous loud rumbling noise.

Seating is awkward and cramped with zero privacy.

Service was ok. Food as excellent.

Way overpriced

Was surprised at the location and initial concerned impression of restaurant being empty. BUT wow was it a great experience!! Servers were very attentive. Food was incredibly delicious! My wife’s comment - one of the best meals we have had! I had never heard of sweet potato gnocchi until eating here. Would definitely recommend to all.

My husband and I went for our valentine's dinner a week early..the restaurant is relaxing and quiet.The staff was attentive and accommodating.
The food was very satisfying.We started with bread ,butter and a very well made dipping sauce. My husband had the scallop appetizer. The scallops were sweet and tender..very good....for the main course he had the special...red snapper which he thoroughly enjoyed..I had the leek soup it too was also very good. For my main course I had the the crab stuffed sole. The crab was delicious and had no fillers. We ended the dinner with coffee, creme brulee and cheesecake which topped off a very enjoyable evening. We will be going to Isabella's again.

This was our second trip here. First time was very good. This time not so much. Our waitress never came back and asked if we were ok or needed anything after food was delivered. She took our dipping oil before our bread was gone without asking. 28.00 for my dinner and not even a salad. Food came out quickly, but i feel over oriced for what i got. Food was ok at best, certainly not what i expected.

We have been Isabella's Restaurant several times, and it was a wonderful experience. However, out last meal was not. The waitstaff was attentive; however, the individual tasked with delivering the food brought out food for our table of 3 in waves separated by rather long gaps between meals and sides.

We also noted that the food wasn't very hot. The biggest problem was my French onion soup. There was a half of an inch of oil on the top of the soup. Our only guess is that we were there when they opened so might not have warmed the larger pot of soup before they scooped mine off of the top. When we brought the issue to the staff's attention, they did replace the soup with another somewhat warm bowl of soup, and the response was low key.

There were several things right with the meal. My husband loved the potato leek soup and another guest found the lamb lollipops starters an excellent meal when paired with potatoes (outstanding) and spinach. The short rib bourguignon was tasty and not fatty. The prickly pear margarita was fun, pretty, and refreshing.

The question is will we go back and try again...probably. But it is no longer a favorite places for a special meal. That is a shame because there are so few fine dining restaurants in the area.

We eat here often , always very enjoyable.

The service was very good. It was a very quiet night. The Lambchop Lollipops were requested medium but were rare and close to raw near the bones. The Shrimp and Scallop Cavatelli was made with a homemade pasta and a tasty sauce. The dish was very good. However, You literally get two scallops and two shrimp and for 28 dollars it was very disappointing. Based on this single experience, I could not recommend this restaurant.

Great for date night or special occasion. Large variety of foods on the menu. Very nice wine list with excellent prices.
We will definitely be going back to try some other dishes. The wait staff was attentive and not overbearing, but were always there at the right time.

The three seafood appetizers we enjoyed were seriously delicious!

They ran out of spinach. How does that happen early on a Saturday? Fish was warm. Gnocchi served with fish was cold. Guess gnocchi was plated for awhile before fish added. Service was good.
