They were shut down. Bad experience. Loused us all up good!
Always love Isabella, the meat and cheese board is great, plus good wine selection.
Met a friend on Friday evening for drinks and tapas. We both had the mussels; I had the special and she had the regular offering. They were both delicious and the portion was a very nice size. We also split the fried artichokes-yum. My wine was delicious and she loved her martinis. The service was very nice-friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness, not too much or too little. The tables are a bit close together if you're trying to have a private conversation, but other than that, we would definitely go back! PS We found parking on the street for a 7pm reservation.
Isabella is definitely a hidden gem in Conshohocken. I visit a lot and will continue to. I always like to bring my friends and family here.
We went as two couples on a Saturday. Had a reservation but probably did not need it for 6:30 pm. Happy hour lasts from 5 to 7 pm. The bar was very lively and the noise level was high. After happy hour ended, the bar cleared and it became significantly quieter. The food was delicious. We had the salmon and steaks. We all had salads and there was no complaints with any of the food. Very tasty. We want to return to have tapas next time as there were many items on the menu we want to try. I would definitely recommend.
More than it looks like from the outside. Nice setting. Mediterranean/European/city seating but pillows and windows make it comfortable.
A nice change from the usual with dishes that suite various tastes. I am a little picky and don't like to many new foods and I found several good choices.
Large wine list and nice beers on tap.
Food was great but menu was changing and a number of things were not available. Restaurant should have told us prior to our arrival
This was our second visit to Isabella. The first was quite pleasant and enjoyable. The food was good and service was efficient. Our second visit, to which we brought 4 friends with us upon our recommendation, was very disappointing. Valentine weekend and the restaurant had run out of flatbread (we had ordered that), the price fix offering yielded steak that was difficult to chew. The tapas plates were ridiculously small and very over priced. They were not of the portion size from the previous visit. It is unlikely that we would return.
We had a table for 3 right next to the door near the bar. It was freezing each time the door opened, so they need some kind of barrier against the cold. There was an "art party" that caused confusion w staff. Three times we heard plates / glass breaking. Not exactly relaxing dining experience. After ordering we were told kitchen wasn't offering any flat breads ( huh? This is a big part of the menu). The server and food was fine except for the farro which was far too spicy. The biggest turn off was the fact the tip was already included in our bill ( for a party of 3). Not cool.
My husband and I dined with another couple. We decided to order a bunch of different appetizers to start and see if we wanted to order entrees later. The apps were so good we just ordered more. All of the following were delicious: pulled pork /chicken empanadas, ahi tuna ceviche, gorgonzola stuffed dates rolled in bacon, mushroom flatbread. The only thing that was mediocre was the fried calamari. We would definitely go back.
Isabella's food, service and atmosphere were great. There was a new chef and his menu are the standard tapas to Greek plates with creative cocktails.
Our waiter was attentive, knowledgable about the menu and delicious tiger striped espresso cake desert.
Lighting is annoyingly too dim and should not require a cell phone or flash light just to read the menu, and that is not romantic. Parking is street parking and could be a challenge at times. Overall, interesting mix of various regions of Mediterranean cuisine and Tapas, but a bit confusing of the origin of the food as many of the fusions tend to be by their nature.
I met up with some friends here for a girls catch up over some good food and cocktails followed by some wine. I can't say enough about the atmosphere ... absolutely lovely from the lighting to décor to seating. The service was wonderful; they made our requested accommodations to their cocktails … less sweet more tart … no matter how it was served the key lime martini was spectacular! We shared multiple tapas dishes. All of them were quite tasty ... especially the taco special they had that night. I would say that food value was for the most part on par. The stuffed pepper appetizer, while tasty, was a very small portion for the $9 price and barely enough for two of us to try. We also had the Chorizo, Pinchos, and the Mediterranean and Margarita flatbreads. The flavors on the Mediterranean did not seem to blend well … figs and gorgonzola … maybe if the figs were diced more instead of big chunks it might have melded better together. Everything else was quite tasty. We did not try desserts, instead opted for another glass of wine. This was my 2nd time here and I would definitely go back again.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Isabella's. We ordered a few tapas-chicken skewers, beef skewers, empanadas, and octopus. All were great. Our server was very helpful in steering us towards tapas and entrees that worked well for our group. The gnocchi was light and delicious and we also enjoyed the Mediterranean and mushroom flatbreads. Reasonably priced wine list as well.
The menu and portions have changed dramatically. The portions were tiny and this included the dinner plates, we left hungry and agitated also the bar poured the wrong drinks but this was taken care of immediately. I asked for bread to dip into the sauce of my mussels and it was cold and uncooked in the center. I would not recommend thus restaurant anymore.
I've always enjoyed Isabella's but the menu has changed and instead of small plates ( none of which grabbed me) we ordered regular entrees. Simply not as interesting or as much fun.
This was our first time to Isabella. I took my husband out for his birthday, and it turned out that they had Quizzo night on Mondays. We had a great time, and even played Quizzo (which we usually don't). The small plates were good, as well as the Kobe burger. Service was a bit slow, especially for small plates. Great Ambiance and energetic vibe for a Monday night.
Small restaurant with a lot of tables and a bar. Food was good, but noise level was very high. It was difficult to have a conversation at a table for 4.
Noise level was insane! I could not even hear my date across the table, we were shouting at each other. I was brought my drink then about 10-15 minutes later my date was brought hers with an apology that the ticket was never ran? This is not a huge place! Food was good but service used to be way better. I would try one more time but on "off" hours as after a long day at work, the noise was not welcome!
