First time at Irv's. Fantastic meal from the meat/cheese app to our salmon and steak entrees and then blueberry/honey/lavendar sorbet. Our server was spot on and made our meal very enjoyable. We'll definitely be back.
Visited for the 1st time on Sunday for brunch with my sister. I made a reservation but it wasn't necessary since there weren't many people in the restaurant during the hour and a half we were there. The restaurant is small but cozy, well decorated, comfortable and quiet (a little too quiet for some perhaps). We were greeted and seated immediately, the waitress Olivia was very friendly and attentive. Would have appreciated a run through of daily food and drink specials but Olivia was only 18 and not familiar with alcoholic beverage selections. The music playlist was very nice and relaxed. The food menu was short and simple but the craft beer/wine/drinks menu was very extensive (bonus)! We ordered the eggs benedict florentine which was unique and excellent. The portion sizes are very large and two adults can share one dish. The egg was perfectly poached, the hollandaise sauce tasted fresh made and it was served with a dressed salad mix, grilled chicken on a beefsteak tomato slice and artisan toast with a creamy and slightly spicy chipotle or siracha sauce between. It was a nice offset to the mild hollandaise and salad dressing flavors. Excellent! The bloody mary was epic-perfectly mixed and spice with a spice rim and garnished with a gourmet deviled egg, grilled shrimp, pepperoncini and a cheese stuffed olive (a drink and meal in one). I had the Rotunda craft beer called Mango Citrass Down....it was delightful.-light and citrusy but full bodied and with a subtle mango finish. We were hoping to move to the bar area to watch the Eagles opening game but there were only 2 people at the bar so the ambiance wasn't what we were hoping for. For brunch it was a nice quiet place for conversation. We are looking forward to coming back for dinner on a weekend evening to try some other menu selections and drink specials. Hopefully the ambience will be a bit more upbeat and lively. A wonderful, but hidden gem close to home!
My husband and I his sister who was in town from Florida, enjoyed a delicious meal there. Although my husband said the fries were mushy. He had fish and chips but said fries were not good. Me and Susie had salmon and that was very good. Peach cobbler was tooooo sweet. Great service though
My husband and I enjoy the brunch at Irv’s. The chicken and waffles is a great choice.
Burgers amazing! Abby great server
This is one of the best kept secrets in the Hershey area! To increase our dining options my friend and i shared everything. The Brussels sprouts were yummy and large enough to share. The fried oysters (tho not usually a fan) with the deviled eggs were also good.
For our entrees, we ordered the Irv's burger (so amazing!) with homemade chips and the fish (2 large fillets, light and crispy) and chips (fresh cut fries, lightly seasoned)
We ended the meal with the seasonal sorbet (not much flavor) and creme brulee which was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
The selection of craft beers were also good. The Rotunda Brewing Company's peach melba was very fruity, tart and refreshing. I even got a crowler of it to go.
Irv's just isn't what it used to be. Although food is still arguably good, the service has really decreased. Our server never even offered water refills. She rarely came to the table. Irv's started as an upscale pub and now loud music is played and cheap flowers have been added as decoration, which doesn't match at all. Used to be a favorite date night place, but my husband and I couldn't even hear each other at our 2 top. Disappointing for sure. Worth the food? Maybe, just don't expect what the atmosphere used to be.
Our party had steaks, fish, burgers and appetizers. Everything was excellent.
Great food and great service!
Good food, well prepared. Lively bar scene and innovative drinks. Extensive beer selections. The dining seating is a little cramped and can get noisy enough to limit table conversation. Attentive waitstaff.
Burger was great. Fish and chips breading was too thick and crunchy had to have them make a replacement piece to eat. Was hoping for more from Irv’s based on other friend reviews
Menu was ok. But not great. Been here before and the food was better.
Had Paella bowl. Lacked much flavor and was very starchy. Could have been better.
Great craft beer menu with lots of options for wine and interesting cocktails. The food was very good - I had tapas and my family members had burgers and the paella bowl with chicken. All was delicious and well priced. The service left much to be desired. I think it was a function of our specific server who was no where to be found for 20-30 minutes at a time. But then when he cleared our dinner plates, returned every 5 minutes for 20 minutes asking about dessert. I think he just needed some training. Overall a nice place for a family gathering or date night. A beautiful bar, too! I recommend Irv's Pub if you are in the area!
We had the Burger with House cut Fry's and it was very good. Happy hour specials are good value and the beer local beer list is interesting. Plan to return
Overall pretty good.
Well...the music didn't quite match the decor and theme of the restaurant. The menu didn't have very many options and the food was bland and not very tasteful...not appealing. The service was excellent....for the price of the wine the glass could be filled a bit higher....10.00 for a half a glass of wine is a bit over priced. Our first visit was in Dec and was awesome and made us want to rwturn....upon returning our second visit was completely opposite and extremely disappointing....will not be returning
Casey the bartender is the best!! What great service and seemed to be a genuinely nice guy! Made a delicious dirty martini too! When we come back to this are we will second return. Food was delicious, all 4 meals!
Our 2nd time eating here on a trip to Hershey w/ the kids. Food is OUTSTANDING!!
Awesome place. I would recommend to friends, family, locals and vistors
Anthony was our waiter and very attentive and knowledgeable. Our only recommendation is that a more experienced bar tender be employed. We have dined at Irv’s many times and on several of those occasions, our drinks were not made correctly. There was never an issue when we mentioned it and very quickly the error was corrected by bringing properly mixed drinks. We enjoy Irv’s And enjoy the fresh foods.
Second time here while visiting Hershey for different events. First experience was fantastic and that’s what brought us back. Second time around was not as wonderful. Dessert was horrible and chicken was dry.
Quaint place. Great and creative drinks and menu. Highly recommended!
Food is always good here. The use organic ingredients, so they're kind of pricey, a burger is now $14 and $3 extra for bacon. However, it's one of the best burgers you'll ever eat. The building is lovely but can get a little loud at peak hours.
Today, I celebrated my 75th birthday with an Irv’s coupon and had a fabulous brunch meal with my husband. His peach French toast was stellar, and my chicken and waffles was the best I’ve ever tasted. Lien was a perfect server and made our meal even more positive.
Great place. The best fish and chips in the area!!!
$22 for a piece of chicken with rice and cut up strawberries cost too much. We expected it would be a special taste created by chef, but was just regular chicken with sides of rice and strawberries.
Appetizer: Soft pretzel was nice and large but lacked enough salt and we prefer spicey mustard as liquid dip versus the small container of solid mustard spread Irv's includes.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our time at Irv's Pub. The location is easy to get to and parking is sufficient. The lighting, both natural and artificial, are excellent. The ambiance, art work, seating, open space, and fixtures are beautiful. The drink and food menus are complimentary, with interesting choices of food, wine, and craft beer. Our waiter was excellent - professional, friendly, efficient, and even witty. Our drink service was quick, and our meals arrived at the correct temperature within about 15 minutes. I had Irv's burger medium rare, and they nailed it. The in-house potato chips were excellent. My wife had a seafood salad entree that she very much enjoyed. My only complaint was on the dessert. I ordered the featured gelato, and while it was tasty and neither too hard or soft, it had the texture and taste of ice cream, be it very good ice cream. When talking with someone else who had been there recently, they reported the same experience...wonderful, but don't expect gelato.
We were looking for a nice birthday celebration meal and found just what we wanted.
Always love irvs!! Great dinner, drinks and service!
Somewhat limited menu, but what we had was delicious. Our table was ready on time, and the service was very good. More drink selections than food items, and the drinks we're excellent. Will definitely try again!
Food was some of the best we've had in a long time.
As always Irv’s was a pleasant experience! The Friday night dinner for two is a terrific value. We both had salmon which was perfect and shared a bottle of wine for $50. Jesse our server was awesome and it was nice to be greeted with her beautiful smile. It can’t get much better than that!
Thank you and I will continue to sing your praises!
Overall the food was very good, our server Jessica was great, friendly and knowledgeable but the whole experience was let down by the greeter on the door, a gentlemen named Anthony. Upon arrival and despite having made a reservation with a request for a booth for my sons birthday and specifically a booth for medical reasons, he was abrupt and disappeared as no table was ready, when he came back he took us to a table. I politely stated I had requested a booth to which the reply from Anthony was......look I have just stated and I didn’t even read the reservation! Clearly as we were asked upon booking if there were any spacial requests or if it was a special occasion and both were clearly disregarded. Will not be returning but the food was good and our server was nice, unfortunately let down by Anthony who ruined the whole occasion.
Overall, good. The avocado toast was small, light on cheese for the price. That was disappointing
good food & service at a late hour around Hershey park
Great roasted cauliflower. It is huge and the sauce is tasty. Be sure you share it with one or more companions.
Great food, great prices, and a great setting. Definitely will be back!
The only complaint was our table location we had been seated by the "employee only" door which was open and could hear the staffs vulgarity conversations. After a few minutes I asked them to respectfully keep it down or relocate our seats. The atmosphere and food was quite appealing.
We love this place! One week we were there three times. The noise level was beyond believable! We asked the waitress to move us to a different spot in the restaurant. She was very accommodating. The food was great and the service was awesome! The noise level was deafening! If you go be prepared to yell to your guest at your table. Everything else was exceptional!
Drinks were fabulous! Ambience was great and beautiful decor. Service was good. The food, Butcher board was good, but almost everything had a kick to it, it needed more flavor diversity, one spicy thing is fine but 2 cheeses and the hummus being spicy was a bit much. The Korean BBQ chicken, not a big fan. The portion was huge of chicken. But the chicken probably shouldn't have been battered over the skin, the skin should have been removed. The batter was tasty and crispy, and the chicken was good, but the skin in between not so good. I had the lemon cake for dessert, the glaze and top part of the cake were delicious, the bottom was dense and very dry and crumbly for a cake.
