Did not even have a table 45 minutes after our visit. Host was inattentive and had no sense of urgency. She would say 15 more minutes and acted annoyed when we would ask how much longer 15 minutes later. The food was not impressive, at least for brunch. Would not recommend.

Food was delicious and the restaurant's ambience is really cool and fun, but the service is painfully slow. Took 2 hours for 2 of us to eat breakfast. Waited 25 minutes for someone to come by with the check after we had finished and napkins were on our plates. Just no one to be found at times.

20 minutes before a server came by our table, then a 30 minute ticket time. Once the food finally arrived, mine was so salty it was inedible. I haven’t had to send any food back in maybe 10 years, but didn’t get a chance here since there was no QC at all. When I finally flagged our server down to pay we had been there over an hour and a half. We’ve been here five or more times and the food is usually good, but the service is always slow. In this case it just happened to be a lot worse. Too many other options in Portland.

While we enjoyed our food and our service with top notch, it was beyond uncomfortable to be in a eating when the temperature was 90 degrees outside and now air or air flow in the restaurant. We had to eat our brunch while dripping in sweat. We made mention of this to several staff to see if we could get the air turned on and they said there was nothing they could do it was just really hot in the restaurant. For spending around $200 and bring a group of 10 to a restaurant, you would except they would be prepared for the temperatures outside. Sadly, I would not go back or recommend until that issue can be resolved, as most don't want to enjoy they brunch while dripping sweat.

Our brunch meals took over 45 minutes to come out and when they did my eggs were over cooked. Overall the service was slow from being seated (we had a reservation) to being waited on. Once our meals were brought out it was a while Before anyone came by to check on the food or our drinks. The one positive was the manager taking my meal and our beverages off of the bill. It was nice that I didn’t have to ask for some sort of compensation for the poor service; they just took care of it. We have been there several times and this was the first time the service was bad enough to mention.

Eclectic and delicious menu; entries listed under 1, 2 and 3, with 1 being the lightest and 3 the most fulsome; diner can choose any combination among the entries; my wife had a delicious mixed salad and halibut; I had the gravlox dish and lamb t-bone.

Great service: attentive, knowledgeable and "paced" just right to permit conversation.

A busy place, but the tables for two were sufficiently out-of-the-way to avoid the hustle and bjstle.

Delicious dinner - wonderful combination of flavors, and beautifully presented. We enjoyed our cocktails and the leisurely pace of the evening. Great server and service. We look forward to our return visit

I love the atmosphere at ISK. The halibut with the harissa sauce was a great pairing. The fried chicken was unbelievable. And the desserts were oh so good. The Milk & Honey Toasted Mousse with Honey Tuile and Lavender Foam was such a unique dessert. We also did a Butterscotch Pudidng to-go. Wow! A lot of restaurants do the same thing over and over again. ISK goes outside of the box to elevate the food experience.

Monthly breakfast with good friends when we like to try new places in Portland and this place did not disappoint. The breakfast offerings were awesome but the whole package put ISK over the top. Loved it!

I’ve always loved Irving St Kitchen. Bartenders are best in Portland and they’ve continued to elevate their menu. Price to portion sizes are more of what you’d expect of a 100/plate LA pop up - small yet expensive. Amazing nonetheless, just a little surprised

First came to Irving St. Kitchen three years ago on a visit to Portland. Had to track it down this time again because the serving staff if wonderful, the food is inventive and delightful and the ambiance is lovely. Try the chicken-fried oysters.

If the music's too loud, ask someone to turn it down.

I was hesitant to return to Irving Street Kitchen after reading some of the reviews. We came here three years ago and had a lovely meal. Three years later and the meal was just as good! We thought we had simply imagined how good the butterscotch pudding was . . . but when we had it again, we realized it really IS THAT GOOD! Lovely evening. Hope to come back again the next time we are in Portland.

took out of town guests there and enjoyed our visit. Dinner was good not great, most dishes were pretty good but again not great, service or kitchen seemed to take a long time for our courses to be served so much so that everyone kind of noticed.

Brunch on Ssturday: not terribly impressed. Had Moroccan Eggs which was basically deliciously thick and flavorful tomato soup in a bowl with two poached eggs on/in it. Came with crunchy bread toasted and brushed with garlic but unfortunately a bit burnt. We also had basic breakfast on a board (how do they get those clean?!) which was nothing special.

Interesting menu! Had a drink at the bar, great old fashion! Seated for dinner, great service. The fried chicken is their signature dish. Halibut was in season and supebly cooked and loved the biscuits and ham appetizer. Will go back, great ambiance!!

The cheese plate was almost nonexistent, one tiny sliver of cheese per person. Also, the main courses were very inconsistent in the portioning. We also had to wait about 5 minutes for the last main course to come out. Over priced and not enough flavor for the meals we had.

Brunch:Gravlax Benedict was very good with a thick hollandaise although the plate could have had a small side for plating. The hash was very good with shaved asparagus, beans and egg. The Bloody Marys were balanced with three smoked cocktail onions.....the side of chicken was a moist, tender thigh with the right amount of batter, crispy and not salty like so many fried chicken dishes are. The waiter we had was a bit indifferent to his customers vibe, pushing for orders before our drinks arrived. There was a lack of connecting with his customer and because of that we went elsewhere for coffee and dessert.
The decor is open, moderate for noise level and all and all comfortable with quality food. This was the first time I've encountered the attitude, otherwise while it could have been more enjoyable experience we enjoyed ourselves with good food.
