Great food! The clam chowder is SO goood! The butterscotch pudding is out of this world too. Nice open bar with unique drinks and ability to come up with one that fits your wants.

Very nice restaurant within walking distance of the Portland armory . We nick named our waitress “Alexa “ because she was so pleasant and patient when we had questions about the menu. Good service, nice wine selection and good food. A very relaxing dinner before going to the theatre .

Couldn't say more: recommended by others - you must try. Sunday brunch, not your usual menu but something for everyone.

You must go to the Irving Street Kitchen. My wife and I ate there last night with 4 friends and every item that hit the table was an absolute home run. The Charcuterie boards, appetizers, first courses and entrees were all spot on, perfectly prepared, seasoned and creatively presented. We finished with the Butterscotch pudding which was topped with caramel sauce - crazy good! And the wine list provided us with plenty of reasonable options. Table service was excellent! I can't believe that I have lived in Portland for 10 years and have never visited. I recommend that you right now and eat there!

Tasty and creative entrees but one must have room for dessert so you can try their butterscotch pudding. Delish!! Server was very attentive and patient with us

Music was a little too loud for my in-laws to hear the whole table’s conversation. Service was kind and friendly but lacking some thoughtfulness. Since we were the last seating of the afternoon, would have appreciated if our server would have announced when the kitchen was closing to ask if we would like any last orders to be placed. We wanted more food but were unable to order - missed the window and didn’t know.

Irving street Kitchen is still pretty to look at but the food and ambience aren't what they once were. The electronic beat music was irritating. Our server was helpful but for some reason our food didn't come out together...we were a party of three and it took the expediter three different trips to the kitchen to bring out the plates . We might come back for happy hour sometime but I think we will avoid brunch in the future.

I have gone to ISK for their New Year's Day pajama brunch for several years. I have also dined there on many other occasions. This year it was just as fun to wear pajamas to brunch, but that's about it. The price is fairly high for what you get. The menu remains essentially unchanged since the first time
I went there 4+ years ago. Also, my food wasn't hot. Cocktails are usually a selling point at ISK but they were mediocre as well. With so many amazing places to eat in Portland, I would skip Irving street Kitchen as it is simply, "fine."

We had yet another great meal at Irving St Kitchen. We were late for our reservations and the hostess still accommodated us - which we really appreciate. This is one of our favorite special date night restaurants and are always satisfied with the quality of food and drinks.

Love The Impossible burger that they have on the menu! We love creative vegan cuisine & this place never disappoints - most of the menu is not vegan (FYI). Also, I have to give a shout out to their biscuits, doughnuts, and cocktails! Try it all! See you soon ISK Crew!

I’ve eaten here 20+ times and have never been disappointed. Great food, service, bar seating, beer choice and an incredible wine list (on tap, no less). A Portland classic located in the Pearl.

Be sure to have the biscuit board and butterscotch pudding! Just writing this review is making want to go back tonight.

We happily dined here to try their treatment of the vegan Impossible Burger. The Irving Street Kitchen stayed true to the vegan roots of the meatless burger with pickles and a cashew cheese, and it was outstanding! They also had an excellent treatment for fried chicken (for the meat eater at the table). Creative cocktails and creative culinary items in a high-ceiling, very Portland-esque dining experience. During the summer, the front walkway becomes a lovely dining al fresco option.

We went there for my husbands birthday and though, we didn’t know it at the time, a pregnancy announcement. The waitress was so wonderful in helping with the announcement as people showed up and with any of our other needs. The place is a good size and tables and chairs weren’t packed in like some places in the Pearl. It was a comfortable setting I will definitely be recommending to other and be going back to myself.

Really excellent experience. The service is very good and consistent with each visit. We shared a salad, and the green godess dressing is superb. For dinner, we had the Impossible burger and the fried chicken. Both dishes were excellent!

When we want to get our "Foodie" on early in the morning, we rock out Brunch at Irving St Kitchen! They crush it with brilliant small plates for variety and never fall short on the main course. Don't waste your time if you want it ONLY your way, go to a dinner for that...this is art coming through food that shines in your mouth.

When the meal was going be delayed for 10 minutes (for reasons unknown to us), one of the managers came to our table & offered us a complementary appetizer. At the end of the meal, she also brought us an extra dessert -- their famous, uber delish butterscotch pudding. So really terrific service. Overall, I really love the ambiance & food (esp the game hen) at Irving St Kitchen.

I drove from Seattle to meet a friend who suggested Irving St Kitchen as she'd heard good reviews. We arrived and after a brief wait were seated in a great booth. Our server was both interesting and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was very good. Portion sizes were maybe a little small, but the quality was there for sure.

Staff was friendly and fun, food was ok.. but waiting over an hour for our entrees after ordering was maddening. Hard to enjoy food when you're already unhappy and have advanced from "pretty hungry" to "nauseated hungry."

Also, the food - I had the hen, my partner had the salmon - was "good," but just not on par with the reviews that made me want to try this joint.

A regular cup of coffee was $4.50 and the coffee wasn't the best I've ever had. There was coffee in the saucer underneath the cup when it arrived at my table so that when I picked up my cup, coffee dripped off of it onto my clothes. I ordered granola and yogurt and when my food arrived, I wasn't given a spoon. My waitress came back at the end of my meal and remembered she had not given me a spoon. By that time, I had become pretty adept at using my fork to eat my yogurt. My friend, a vegetarian, ordered the classic breakfast, without bacon, and bacon arrived on her plate. The restaurant was quite noisy and I found nothing special about the decor. I visited the restroom on the way out and it was roasting inside. Is it on the other side of the kitchen? It must have been 80 degrees in there. I eat out quite frequently and have visited many restaurants in many cities, but I think I could have had a better meal, with much greater value, at an IHOP or Shari's.
