Ironwood American Kitchen at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
A bit disappointed as we went for brunch as that is how it was advertised as brunch buffet and when we arrived they stated they only do this in the summer and in December. This was supposed to be a big family birthday celebration. A bit disappointed.
A really nice place inside the Fairmont for breakfast or brunch. Innovative menu. Pricey, but to be expected at a resort restaurant.
Chia pudding and creme brûlée oatmeal are great if you have a sweet tooth. Barley pancakes are also amazing, portions are large and shareable!
Just nothing special.. no buffet, no atmosphere, service not very warm, just good food, thats it
We were hoping for a bit of a fine dining experience as this restaurant is located in a 5* resort. We found it to be very casual, which is fine but then you shouldn't charge prices that are 25% over the average Scottsdale restaurant price. For a $48 bottle of house wine, you would expect some nice wine glasses and not tumblers.
There were many families with young children which made it more noisy.
The food was fine but not exceptional.
Overall ok but we would not return.
Great experience if you are staying at the hotel, and most of all being able to know its OK to have young kids with you was great, when we sat down and looked around the room it was all families with children. Great taste and presentation!
Only drawback and its minor the online menu doesnt match what is available 100% in the restaurant, and again was minor we still enjoyed the time we spent there - Ty
We were surprised that there weren’t very good vegetarian options. Also it got very noisy as the restaurant filled up for lunch, not good for maintaining a conversation.
I made a reservation for a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday and reserved standard seating, not outdoor seating. When I arrived they said they had no availability for 30 more minutes, so we had to sit outside with 4 kids in 100 degree heat. We were staying g at hotel and we had no other options - very disappointed
Slow service, buffet was not replentished in a timely manner, and foods that should have been served cold (e.g., fruit, overnight oats, yogurt) were served room temp.
Beautiful brunch. Love donut wall!! Bringing whole family next time.
Food excellent. Great, friendly service. Not fancy ambiance but good to enable conversation.
Get the stout braised short rib. Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Comfort food at its best.
The food and service was fantastic. The ambience is more of the breakfast, lunch place at a resort. For dinner, not a romantic place but the food is great.
Great food with awesome choices. Service was fantastic.
Breakfast before the Phoenix Open golf tournament.
Had to let the staff know that eggs were cold.
Warming fish was turned off. 🙁
Our server Marco was excellent & the food also exceeded our expectations.
Great food - variety and freshness! Seated us at the reservation time. The servers were very busy. Would highly recommend.
This was my first visit to this restaurant. I enjoyed the meal. The menu was limited, but the hamburger that I ordered was outstanding. With the prevalence of fast food, sometimes you forget what real beef tastes like! The service was excellent. The decor or ambiance was not special but this was a very nice restaurant, much better than most hotel cafes.
I made a reservation for 4 people 24 hours in advance. When we got there we waited for 25 minutes before being seated. Onced seated we waited for one hour for our food before we were told that our order was just summited to the chef and that we would have to wait another hour. We left dissatisfied, dissapointed, and not to mention super hungry. We had to attend a meeting so we were left hungry for hours thanks to Ironwood American Kitchen.
While the food was great, the selections were very limited. The fact that they catered to my daughters food allergy was incredibly wonderful considering how horrid a time we had finding food while we vacationed in California.
The portion sizes for price was not what we expected. I don’t normally like leaving still hungry so make sure you order an appetizer too!
Stuck in the hotel so had to eat here twice. Service is slow. Prices are high. Food is so so and not cooked as requested.
Our party of eight plus two infant grandsons had an awesome experience ! We were
Celebrating not only 4th of July but 2 birthdays . The food was very good and our waiter
Was great ! He was very attentive and even went out of his way to re-warm up a meal for
A family member who was late due to work . We all left very pleased with our meal and the
Whole dining experience ! Thank you
Brunch was delicious. Service is outstanding. Best bloody mary I've had.
I'd definitely recommend
Loud Dj for summer festivities. Would like a little more quiet
It’s always good and I’m surprised they aren’t busier
For the price of the food, there really wasn't anything spectacular compared to what we could have had elsewhere for half the cost. One of the kids ordered a cheeseburger...and they didn't even put cheese on the burger. It was good service...but had it not been for the resort credit we would not go again.
Average. Over priced for the experience!
This time we sat on the patio for lunch and last time it was dinner. Cheeseburger and nachos were amazing. During lunch they had “bird security” which was a hawk. That was cool.
The place was empty. The server was nice enough. The food was greasy. The bread for our sandwiches was so drenched in butter. Almost inedible. The setting was nice.
Pleasant, casual, well prepared food- the chicken was tender and juicy. Servers were very accommodating and it was really pleasant to sit out on the patio with heaters!
Great food and service. Fun atmosphere but easy enough to conduct business discussion despite being crowded.
We had lunch and breakfast at the restaurant. Service and food was very good.
Great service from Tim and Hanna!
The service was excellent and the food was delightful. I will go back next year when I’m back in Scottsdale.
Restaurant was crowded from bug event nearby but staff was able to accommodate and service was quick.
Our expectations were quite high upon arrival. The reality was quite different.
We had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time for the table. The menu was quite limited and the service was slow. The ambiance was the one saving grace.
For the price & location, we expected a lot more from the Princess. To give a fair evaluation of our experience is pushing it.
James, our server, made us feel welcome and cared for. We never had to ask for attention, he was very attentive. Prices are high for families $25 average for breakfast meal. Food was good. They sat a large group by us and it made the noise level high. There was another area where no one was sitting and they could have sat us apart from each other - I think that would have been nicer.
We stayed at the Fairmont Princess for the Christmas celebration. The six of us enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the Ironwood. Tim was fantastic. He was friendly and efficient.
