This was my second trip to The Iron Rooster and it was equally amazing!!!! I have enjoyed breakfast and dinner and hope to return for more:). I live 2 hours away and would love to make a day trip to return.
Visiting from Chicago, we were looking for some delicious food upon arrival. The first day, we made the mistake of not just “waiting” for a table at the Iron Rooster, and so we darted over to the restaurant across the way in the red building with outdoor seating. BIG MISTAKE!! Don’t repeat it. You’ll be as disappointed as we were. I made a reservation for the following evening at Iron Rooster and so glad I did. Everything on the menu was delicious. The queso dip was phenomenal. My boyfriend got the ravioli, yummO. I had the cakes on cakes and (although I believe that particular dish was overpriced for what it is), the flavor was incredible. I’d probably do the crab cake Benny (next time) if I were looking for a similar and more reasonably priced dish. OR my suggestion would be to the restaurant: perhaps serve with a poached egg or 2? And definitely beef up that little corn cake (to make the price worth it?!?) But definitely visit and eat here at least ONCE during your visit to Annapolis.
Intriguing menu, delicious food, relaxed atmosphere. It was a little loud for a business lunch but we also had a child sitting nearby. Highly recommended for unique downtown Annapolis meals.
Good service. Food came quickly. Chicken Benny and the BLT&E (no egg) well large and filling. I will definetly be back soon.
Dinner with friends!
Food and service were both AMAZING. Host was extremely friendly and showed me a few seating options. Server made a great drink recommendation (iron crush) which was delicious. Crab hash was awesome and the homemade peanut butter cup was very rich but tasty. Little pricy but great food and drinks.
Great food!! Great location!! Recommend!! One of our favorite spots when in Naptown!
Very nice but not the right place for a firs date. A little to noisy, but a nice place and the service is excellent.
Based on the reviews, drove over from Virginia this past Saturday. Food was tasty, but mine was lukewarm at best. Waited for a long time for cocktail; apparently bartender was new. Server was very pleasant. Not sure I'd go there again even if I happen to be in Annapolis for the day. Just so so.
We were seated quite quickly due to our reservation on open table. We sat in the bar area. The house manager brought us a craft of water and informed us our server would be right with us. Our server was a little awkward, not very smiley or welcoming. However she did service quickly and efficiently. We got this steak breakfast bowl and chicken and waffles. Man oh man was it delicious
What a disappointment. We had eaten here two years ago and it was wonderful. Food this visit was no better than a chain restaurant. Our waitress didn’t crack a smile the entire meal. We felt like we were imposing on her. If not for a nice chat with the friendly bartender we would have been sure we just weren’t wanted.
Awesome breaksfast! The homemade pop-tarts are a must-try. Had a great omelette and the salmon on avocado toast. The place was jumping on a Thursday morning so glad we made reservations. Menu is a bit pricey for breakfast but the portions are big and the quality is high.
Good food and great service. Nice view of the marina from the upper level seating area.
I came here for my birthday and had an amazing meal almost as wonderful as the service. Will keep coming back here for the rest of my life!!!!!
Great food and wonderful staff. Always enjoy dining here no matter what time of day! I recommend trying their brown sugar pop-tart it's the best!
One of my Annapolis favorites. First time enjoying happy hour! Well worth it.
Great service. Very rude loud group in our area but once they left it was great. Enjoyed our meal very much.
Great meal. Our waitress, Tomorrow was wonderful 😊
Always an excellent place to get delicious food and drinks. Family friendly dining with a Pop tart on the side😋
Fantastic!! We had an amazing lunch, perfect dining experience
The food was AMAZING. One of the best steak and shrimp combos I have ever enjoyed. The drinks were were great—generously poured. Wife loved the crab cakes on cakes. The brown sugar Rooster Tart was phenomenal. We will dine there again, and again.
Our server got the order wrong and when we questioned him, he lied and said the dish we received was the one we asked for! Unsat!!!
We loved the unique menu. The breakfast food was great, especially the chicken and the coffee. The helpings were large- I did not eat again until dinner time! Nice server too!
Food was delicious. The ambiance was great and it was not busy for a holiday.
Steaks were tough for two diners, other entrees & sides were good as were the cocktails.
The food was absolutely delicious; well worth the wait. I love the fact that they have a morning happy hour, most restaurants don’t have that and I think that’s one of the things that makes this restaurant unique
Absolutely love this place! Great place to relax and enjoy a fresh meal.
Always a good meal and a great time at Iron Rooster! Have enjoyed many a breakfast there, nevermind what time of day it is. They don’t have real maple syrup, but they make up for it with the maple butter on the pancakes. Eggs, bacon, waffles, everything I’ve eaten there has been delicious. Sometimes the wait is astronomical. That’s the one drawback to being a great restaurant.
VERY GREAT PLACE FOR FOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!
Always have a great time and great food there. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and brussel sprouts. Can easily make a meal out of those!
Excellent service. Consistently good food. Reservation strongly suggested.
We had an amazing dining experience at the Iron Rooster! This was some of the best food we have eaten in quite a while, and the service was impeccable! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back again 😊
The food was amazing!! The chicken and waffles had a great flavor. Tiffany was a wonderful server and would definitely request her again.
Fabulous breakfast and make sure you order the pop tart 🙂
They had the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had. The portion sizes were very nice and all 4 people in our party enjoyed their meal. The waiter was quite attentive. I’d recommend.
I had the pork chop which was 35%-40% fat, the rice was bland, and the asparagus was burnt on one end and the stem was uncooked. My girlfriend’s pancakes were over cooked.
I was looking forward to the food and it just wasn’t good.
After waiting for our waiter for 15 to come to our table he was excellent! The food was amazing as well.
We have been here 3 or 4 times and always enjoyed it. For our daughter’s birthday we came to celebrate but the server took our order and apparently never put it in until we complained. We received our food over 1 hour lifter arriving with some of it being only lukewarm. The manager did give us our entrees free and a card for 4 free meals next time we came. We will likely give them another try and see if it was just a one time thing.
