I had a wonderful breakfast date with with my wife and we definitely enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance. We most certainly plan on coming back soon.
My daughter and I were in Annapolis for the US Sailboat Show. We were excited to try the Iron Rooster. Sadly, we came away slightly disappointed. My daughter loves chicken noodle soup and this soup did not disappoint. Definitely the heartiest chicken noodle soup around. The broth was both rich and slightly briney. We both agreed the soup was the highlight of the meal. I ordered the salmon salad. While appealing to the eye, the salmon had zero flavor. My daughter ordered the cakes on cakes (crab cakes, fried green tomatoes resting on corn cakes. The crab cakes were nice; but, the fried green tomatoes clearly had been fried several hours earlier. They were tough as leather and tasted not much better. All in all we were left disappointed by the dinner.
We took some out of town friends there and they loved it!!
Great local spot in Annapolis. Eating breakfast nachos and quest drinking beer and watching football made for a wonderful afternoon.
We ordered all apps and drinks and were extremely happy with the quality and presentation of the food.
A few words will sum it up well... Awesome, Delicious, and 'Why did I wait so long to try this place?'
This place is your favorite of my wife and I and is well worth the wait if you get there when it’s busy. Reservations are a must and I’ve never had a bad meal in my 6 visits. The homemade pop tarts are an absolute must when you eat here.
Overall great experience! staff was attentive, genuine and friendly. Service was excellent. Restaurant was super clean & food was yummy. High chair was ready and waiting at the table as requested with our reservation. Didn't have to repeatedly ask for one. Definately recommend and will be back! Fun place to take visiting family!
Always amazing food and delicious cocktails. Never disappoints!
Food and service were great as always. The only issue we had was that we were inundated by flies and and with two kiddos that freak when they see bugs, it was not pleasant. I understand it is somewhat unavoidable this time of year and with the door being opened so often, it just made for an unpleasant experience.
We love eating breakfast for dinner! Rob greets us like old friends, makes us feel at home! We love it.
I enjoyed the Iron Rooster; the food was excellent and the staff was courteous and helpful. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to others.
Had a wonderful dinner meal with a group of friends. We’ve all been here for breakfast so we were very happy that the menu was so varied & the quality matched our previous experiences. Also a huge plus that we could make a reservation for a group of 8!
It has been a long time since I went to a restaurant and actually received hot food. It was appreciated.
We were out to celebrate a birthday and homecoming. Service was good, food as always great.
Great food, great prices, great portion sizes! I plan to go back and try other menu items! I got the crab hash and then the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Oh almost forgot about the deviled eggs for an appetizer. YUMMY!!!
The food was great. Noah our server was quite punctual ; we had an event following the meal. Noah got us out in adequate time to attend the event.
Great host, wonderful food..just a nice neighborhood gem to stop in to grab a bite anytime.
I had a nice time. I wish they would have put us at a better table since we were on a date but aside from that I was very pleased with my experience. It was rather loud there but I got my food quickly and it was reasonably priced.
Morning happy hour??! We loved it! Our waitress was enthusiastic and very helpful. Breakfast was packed, so make a reservation. We had the special "Bennys" and split the "poptart" to start. Superb, unique offerings. Can't wait to go back.
I was really disappointed with the service and the food, so much so that I spoke with a manager, Chris, the day after our experience, 7/12. He said that he was going to talk to the general manager and get back to me, and no one ever did. Spent over $100 on pancakes and waffles for me and 4 kids. Our guest of honor, my 14 yr old niece received her meal so late, order was wrong, that we had finished eating. Waitress never offered to bring her fruit or something to eat while waiting. Two of my kids meals were missing an item, strawberries and whipped cream. When my niece's meal finally came, there was no apology. Was not at all the experience my friends had talked about when recommending your restaurant.
Everything was really good except any item with burgers, which were terrible. It was a shame for the boys who ordered burgers.
Good comfort food. Its hard to make a choice off the menu- everything looks and sounds so good. Our service from the host stand to our wait staff was also great- Friendly and Prompt!
Love that there is a bar area that caters one crowd and a dining area that seems to be oriented more towards family diners.
Food was excellent. Wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Great food and service. The staff was very friendly and checked in on us just the right amount, not too much and not too little. Food was great with many options.
We all enjoyed our meals very much. Service was great and we loved the pop tart. Walking distance to USNA
We had a great Fathers Day celebration. Food was good. Lots of young families which made it very comfortable, as we were there with our noisy 20 month grandson. We have been several times before and will definitely go again.
One of our favorite spots in Annapolis. Great dunks, great apps, and a really cool menu. Highly recommend the waffle burger, the crab cakes, or have breakfast for dinner.
Breakfast was definitely overrated. The wait staff was great but the quality of the food was not.
You would be better served by stopping at Dunkin Donuts for a coffee and a donut.
It was our first time to go to this restaurant. The food was excellent. I ordered the breakfast steak burrito and coffee. Coffee was perfect for my taste: strong. Our server was courteous and friendly. Even the people in the front confirmed our reservation and seated us immediately. My wife and I didn't wait long for us to be served. They were all fast and efficient. Overall, it was a very nice experience for us.
Great chicken and waffles, even as a supper item. Also the green fried tomato appetizer was very good and I don't usually like tomatoes.
The experience of the our party was that the food was too heavy, did not match menu description(s), was luke warm and in was case tasted burnt and overall not very good. All of the diners in our party were sick within a few hours and throughout the next day.
Although there was a mix up w/our reservation, the staff was able to seat us w/in minutes. Food was freshly prepared & on time. Wait staff was polite & attentive.
Even though my son is commissioned and leaving Annapolis... we will keep visiting from Nashville for Navy football and the Pop Tarts #beatArmy #team62forever 💙
Very disappointed in the service. Our waitress took over 10 mins to return with drinks. She seemed annoyed when we said we would like to order, never asked if we wanted refills. Prices have gone up. $6.95 for 3 pieces of bacon is overpriced. A waffle and a side of bacon cost close to $18 more than the eggs Benedict with a side of potatoes.
The chicken and waffles were delicious!! I would definitely order them again.
My favorite place in Annapolis! Delicious food, impeccable service and gorgeous views from the tables out front.
Diverse menu comfort food we went on the busiest day of the year the service from the mailre de was fast we got great service
My daughter and her friend brought my husband and me to Iron Rooster for Mother's Day. They love the food. We came in a half hour early and had to wait less than 10 minutes. Appreciate that! Food was excellent: chicken pot pie, dirty rice with chicken, burger on waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Mimosa was great as well as the Arnold Palmer iced tea with lemonade, Jailbreak Infinitive Red Ale and 'Cast the Monkey' whit beer. Waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Would have preferred sitting upstairs....more modern with the bathrooms on that level. Was given a coupon for $10 off at next visit for Mother's Day. Nice treat. Thank you, Iron Rooster. We'll be back!
