There's a reason this place often has a wait to get a table. Great food, service, ambiance at a reasonable price. Our server Billy was busy but still made time for us!
Can’t beat a place that serves all day breakfast. Love the home fries and pancakes with strawberries/whip cream. My go-to spot for reliable and consistently great breakfast.
The Iron Rooster in Canton offers easy parking, good (comfort) food, and a casual environment. We enjoyed a lovely, unhurried lunch on a wintry day. I certainly recommend this restaurant.
I cannot sing enough praises about Iron Rooster. I ordered the Crab Cake Benny and my husband ordered the fried chicken w/ french toast. Everything was perfect and so good! The chicken wasn't dry, but super juicy and seasoned well. The french toast was still a little crispy and had a wonderful flavor of apple and vanilla. My crab cakes had big chunks of crab, and the hollandaise was perfectly buttery. So.So.Good!
We decided at the end to try the brown sugar cinnamon "Roostart", which is their take on a pop-tart.
#1- that joker is huge. It's perfect for splitting (which we did).
#2- The pastry was phenomenal, as was the filling, as was the glaze... You get the picture.
#3- It was warm!! Oh man, so good.
We went here for brunch on New Years Day and had reservations, which was a great help! There was a line out the door when we arrived and it was very hectic.....the service was a little slow and we found out that one of the waiters' was having issues, so the manager took over our table. We got our orders, had a great brunch, and when we went to pay they couldn't find our ticket so only charged us for a starter. This was above and beyond what we deserved, and we were very humbled he would do that for us. For that reason, and the great food, we will go back again soon. You should too....
As busy as it was on New Years, our service could not have been better. Made reservation in advance and was seated right away. Food was timely and delicious, definitely recommend.
Food took a little longer than expected to arrive at the table considering it wasnt terribly crowded. Also there is a door towards the back that accesses the patio area but it sits between tables and when people entered and exited a draft came in which can cause peoples food to cool fast. Maybe as a suggestion that door can be locked being as though its winter and the patio area isnt in use.
We celebrated a birthday and had brunch.
Had a mini law school reunion there and it was perfect we got breakfast and talked for hours, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder’
Great breakfast food and service. Definitely a favorite spot for our family!
Was disappointed. Creative menu, but actual food was just average at best. Expectedfood than we had. Very, very noisy. Impossible to have a conversation.
Great breakfast food at a reasonable price and service with a smile. They just need to add cappuccinos and espressos to their limited “brewed coffee only”’offerings.
We were seated by a door that, when opened, let a lot of cold air in.
Service was great. We have two little kids and our quick needs and pace of dining didn’t seem like an inconvenience as it does at a lot of other places - such a breath of fresh air.
Everyone was so friendly.
We will be back!
The food and service was good...will definitely go back.
All day breakfast is a winner! Love the variety of eggs Benedict’s.
I was in from out of town for a business meeting and the person I was meeting chose this location given that he is a local. The only positive experience was being in a nice building. The food was average, nothing to go across town for. The service, was very poor and the hostess and manager were very unwelcoming. We asked for a booth, and it seemed like we were asking for free food. When a booth became available the manager took us to the table and just threw the menus on the table. Server was slow with the coffee and brought one small creamer for the entire table. We had to continuously request coffee and creamer. The worst part of all is that the manager who sat us at the table kept on pacing by our table, looking at us and pointing to his watch, which we took as if he was trying to kick us out. This type of behavior is uncalled. Will never step foot in any Iron Rooster again.
Our table was ready and waiting. server was there quickly and no real wait for food all of which was fantastic. Love the place only way I'd like it better is if it was u COLUMBIA MD
Food and service was great! Loved all the Christmas decor and the reservation was ready when we arrived.
once you get past the wait, even with a reservation, the experience is awesome! food was great and most of the staff is friendly.
Best homemade pop tarts ever! We were immediately seated and the service was great.
The food took a long time to get to the table. And when it came mine was cold and it was just simple bacon eggs and toast. The eggs ordered over medium were medium at the yolk and uncooked and runny in the whites. The hash brows were cold and a bit uncooked. I did not complain because of my company at the table. Bacon was good. Was disappointed in a simple breakfast. Pop tarts were excellent as usual. Food not so much.
Highly recommended, ask for Kevin hes an awesome server !!@
Good food, All right service given that they were not busy. Atmosphere good. I would try them out again.
Great service by the waitress. She was attentive and knowledgeable. The greeter was professional and warm.
Fun, tasty, creative food. Beautiful building and wonderful location. You have to get reservations though to br guaranteed a seat.
That was my first time at this location. I felt extra special when I arrived. The gentleman who seated me said he had been waiting for me and had saved a table for me. He said others wanted my table, but he said he told them, “...no, that’s Michelle’s table”! Lol! My friend and I were catching up with each other and we were there for about 3 hours! I totally enjoyed my bonding time with my friend and my meal was perfect!
This is a must stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food choices cover all meals. I had crab cake on an English muffin, with a sauce on top. The crab meat was amazing. My wife had french toast. The portions were big. If you check in on Facebook, they bring you a jar of beacon. I have eaten here many times, and the service is always good and have not had a bad meal yet.
This was my first visit to the Iron Rooster at my daughter's request prior to going to a Bridal Show. We were with her fiancé and his mom and had great food and good conversation. I made a reservation and was glad I did... there were a lot of people there for a 10:00 am Sunday brunch. Food was amazing! Waitress was very attentive. I'll go again... soon!
We have come to this iron rooster a few times since we love Canton! We booked a reservation for brunch since we knew it gets busy on weekend mornings and we had a party of six. Food was good as always, but the service was very slow. We could tell our waitress was trying her best and it seemed like it was short staff that date and she had more tables than usual. We waited a while for coffee and got chocolate and for refills. Food came out on time for most part. Food was delicious and we still had a great time. Again, we believe our waitress was doing the best she could do to the circumstances of seeming like it was short staffed. On a busy brunch day you would hope the place would be staffed better.
Enjoyed trying their breakfast go to’s! The server Emily was very helpful in recommendations and service!
Best breakfast ever. Finland ain’t got nothing on this place. Great for meeting up in small groups. Pancakes were delicious, will try chocolate chip next time. Please send me a coupon for giving a good survey. My pleasure.
Called ahead and specifically asked the manager not to mention the food allergy situation we have, but it was literally the first thing the waiter said to the table. I was so annoyed. The food was greasy, even more than necessary for bacon. My patty melt was not held together-just a jumble of dry, loose ground beef in a greasy sandwich. I mean like 4 napkins soaked in oil and my fingers were still nasty. The meatloaf had a puddle of gravy on top that didn’t reach the edges, as if they were conserving gravy in the kitchen. It, too, was dry. The fries were fine, and the fried green tomato appetizer was a bright spot, but they couldn’t cover for how awful the rest of the meal was. Stick to breakfast items.
Cute brunch spot!
Iron Rooster has great service and great food! The staff is so nice and always making sure we had everything we needed!
Great place for brunch! Best chicken and waffles around and delicious bloody marys. Thanks!
I will always recommend Iron Rooster. It is always delicious and the staff are nothing short of excellent.
Amazing food! It is definitely worth making reservations for brunch.
The service was so terrible that it overshadowed the food which is good. We were there on a Saturday morning for breakfast and our server was pleasant but would disappear for long time. We never once the entire time we were there got offered a refill on coffee. Someone else brought out food but no syrup for the French toast and pancakes. When we asked for syrup, we were told our server would bring it. He eventually came by with the syrup and then we never saw him again until he stopped back to see if we needed to-go boxes. I asked a manager (?) if we could get two coffees to go since we were never offered refills. She graciously agreed and brought them out right away. It’s a shame the service was so bad because the food is good and the atmosphere is very cool. I would be hesitant to return to the Canton location.
