nice evening; good service; family reunion in our own separate room - great
Had s reservation. Dirty table outdoors. Tables on terrace all mishmashed together. Not enough umbrellas.
Served was friendly, however, after giving poor feedback on bruschetta, rather than asking what she could do to make the dining experience better, she kind of disappeared for the remainder of dinner experience. She did not refresh our drinks.
The food was deplorable. Could not eat the tasteless soggy bruschetta. Bread was cold and soft. The pizza lacked toppings. Only cheese on it is was the little bit of feta. I dined here last August. Things have really gone downhill. The bathrooms were in shambles. Will not come back.
As a local, the 'Goat has been a favourite ever since it opened. Summer lunch on the patio with it's extraordinary view of Three Sisters and the mountains and valley is spectacular. Pricing on lunch salads is a little high, but given the rest f the experience, worth it.
Overall, a great late lunch on Mothers Day after a hike. We had a rez for 9 and were put in our own private corner though we arrived probably 15 mins early. We did have to wait for almost 20mins before someone acknowledged us which was a bit frustrating .... When 'Brooke' (? I believe) finally came to our table though she went out of her way to give us a great experience. She recommended the Duck Wings and we would 100% have them again - yum! The pizza dough, though made in house was quite flavourless - hard pass on that next time. Meals and beer recommendations all hit and the mountain views are a win! We'll go back, yup!
It would be tough to beat the view of three sisters that you get from the Iron Goat. Great food, service and lively atmosphere made the event wonderful. We had celiac in our group and there were no issues for all in enjoying an excellent meal. I will definitely return on my next visit to Canmore.
Very enjoyable evening , staff was excellent ! , food was great and you can't find a better view. Dined here a year ago and this trip was no exception. Looking forward to our next visit.
We have dined here several times before. This time we did not find the food to be up to the usual high standards as on previous occasions. Not sure why. We will stay away the next time we are in Canmore.
The serving staff had super personalities, service was excellent, food was great and the atmosphere was fun
We were recommended this pub by a local in canmore and it didn't disappoint. Nice relaxed environment, great food and plenty of local beer to choose from.
Me and my fiancee went here for his birthday meal on our first trip to canmore. The waitress was fantastic and made us feel welcome and had no problems answering any of the questions we had regarding the menu.
Service was prompt, we started with the confit duck wings with the mango chipotle and walnut drizzle to share followed by the bbq platter. The starter was phenomenal and the duck just slid off the bone, the flavours complemented the rich flavour of the meat beautifully and didn't take long to finish the meal.
We ordered some vegetables to accompany the bbq platter main, it was the perfect size to share. The meal was served with three different types of bbq sauce, each of them complementing one of the meats specifically and the meats were beautifully cooked. I would definitely be coming here again when I'm back in canmore.
The chili was excellent. But the steak was nothing to write home about.
When we arrived there was no record of our reservation.
We visit this place every time we are through Canmore. Food was not great this time around. Usually a lot better.
This was a birthday meal for my 18 year old son. First pint of beer, duck wings, awesome service thank you
Great views. Very good service. Very good food. Will return.
Great dinner and a beautiful place. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and was never too far away despite being very busy. Food was delicious!
Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush and it was busy. One meal was over cooked but the restaurant did a good job of rectifying it
Best part of my trip to Canmore!
Thanks to our making a reservation earlier in the week, we had a window table complete with a view of the mountains. It was difficult to choose from the menu because it all looked so good. I had the calamari, which was beautifully presented and my partner loved the baby back ribs.
Over all was a good experience!! Would go again. The atmosphere was rustic and place was very busy.
Great view great service
We fully enjoyed the duck wings, veggie flatbread, and excellent beer. The view is outstanding, staff really friendly and responsive. A big win.
Super fast service with a stunning view of the mountains. Definitely worth the drive from the city. Awesome selection on the menu and good food.
We went for dinner/drinks on St Paddy's Day, food was very disappointing for the price you pay. I would only go back for drinks on the patio in the summer.
Best brunch! Nice staff, beautiful interior and views!
Open Table wasn't working at the Iron Goat; did NOT have our reservation
Great atmosphere with great customer service. This restaurant is good for big groups or a date night.. The food overall was bland.
Awesome! We had a great dink g experience. Family friendly
The food was delicious and I found the staff very friendly and efficient. They were very accommodating in adjusting my meal for a special diet. Would definitely go back.
Always a must stop for us in Canmore! Beautiful and cozy room with friendly and genuine service followed up with great food and drink offerings for a reasonable price. Good stuff!
Skiing holiday at Sunshine, Hot Springs in Banff, condo in Canmore, family supper at the Iron Goat, best holiday ever!
Nine of us attended Iron Goat for Sunday brunch on Family Day weekend. Some of us have been here numerous times. The food was very good, the service not so much -- very slow to the point we felt forgotten. Granted they were very busy and were also hosting a wedding that day so I'm cutting them some slack. We always had prompt service in the past so we will go back again. Food ordered included duck wings, fish and chips, various eggs benedict, carpacio, pizza, steak and eggs -- it was all very good.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here and we will be back. The view was spectacular, the building impressive, the food delicious and some was so unique, and the service was world class. I will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends via my next newsletter.
Love this place, will go again for sure
Their house cocktails were delicious, the building is almost as beautiful as the views of the Rockies, and our server was attentive but not overbearing. My partner and I were sat on the main floor right by a huge window. The food was bland for my liking, not awful. Plating left something to be desired.
A few years ago we came here and thought the food was mediocre. We were hoping when we returned last weekend it would have improved, but sadly no. We are your average foodies and thought we could easily have pulled off the taste of our meals. Nothing special and nothing to write home about. However, the structure and design of the building is magnificent, as are the views.
Was very good . Duck wings super yum. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff. Excellent wine and beer list. Will definitely recommend .
My family enjoyed the variety, quality and warm, friendly atmosphere.
Excellent meal and ambiance as always.
Great selection for celiac sufferers.
Wide variety on the menu.
A must when in Canmore.
Great ambiance and good. We had steak and it was excellent. Good service too.
We had a wonderful evening of great food, attentive service and a spectacular view of the mountains
