Our server Michael was excellent! Loved the apps. Not a huge fan of the main courses. Thought the chicken was burnt (breading) and lamb was over braised. Dessert was excellent!
Tonight was my husbands birthday. They printed happy Birthday on the top of the very menu just especially for us! My husband and I drive over every time from Mobile to enjoy Iron. We absolutely love it! We will be back.
the service was amazing and the food was even better!
Great service and great food!
Really good food but price not coherent with the area...
$80 Steak market value is non sense.... i would pay that on a steak house, which this restaurant is not a steak house
Other than that ....Amazing server, service overall and great food
Upscale and cozy. Steak was outstanding. there is a decent wine selection and service was excellent
Food is always amazing. Best dessert in town (Nutella pie).
Birthday outing. Fantastic meal with stellar attention to detail and knowledgeable service.
Great dining experience, as usual.
Our server, Hilary, was EXCELLENT!
Hands down: best restaurant in Pensacola. If you travel, you’ll truly appreciate this hometown gem. Elevated, creative dishes are the norm. Texture and flavor are on point. The price may be slightly more than other “classics” in town; this is a completely different, better experience. Prices are totally fair given the quality of ingredients (cost is much less for an amazing meal on caliber of LA/NYC/CHI/Toronto).
Great service great food would highly recommend the chef counter for any first time guest.
Escargot Gnocchi was fantastic! Rest of the food was mediocre at best. Prefer Jackson's any day over this restaurant. Not a fine dining restaurant. Service was great!
Our first dinner date of 2020, my wife and I decided to try Restaurant Iron. What a perfect choice that turned out to be and a great way to start the new year! The ambiance was warm and inviting. Service doesn’t get any better and the plates and drinks were incredible. This fine little gem will be at the top of our list for dinner date nights going forward!!
Wife and I were there for the 9:00pm New Years Eve seating. Everything was excellent. Food, service atmosphere. Definitely want to attend that event next year.
We were really delighted with the New Years Eve tasting menu event. The food and service were top notch and what we can count on from Iron. The menu, wine pairing, and scheduling were obviously thoughtfully planned, it was a very seamless evening. Fantastic way to lead into the new year!
Can’t imagine a finer meal or better service. Hats off to the Iron team.
Everything was great. Server seemed a little off her game that day, but overall a great experience. Will definitely be back for sure
Excellent as always! Food is the best in Pensacola! Our server, Nicholas, was knowledgeable about Everything on the menu and was attentive. We had a delightful evening.
Super delicious, seasonal food and the wait staff is very attentive.
My wife and I absolutely love Restaurant Iron. The atmosphere, service and food is great. You will not be disappointed with any choice.
Everything was amazing, could not ask for a better place to enjoy a long overdue family dinner.
Sitting at the kitchen counter never disappoints and Amber is a fantastic waitress!
Honestly, the overall experience was satisfactory however, for the price we weren’t blown away by food quality and quantity. The menu is expensive, and at these prices I expect to have my taste buds tantalized. We had very high expectations after being told it was best restaurant in Pensacola. Cocktails were nice but when we served a very small charcuterie board , I had concerns. That was a precursor to the rest of the meal. Presentation of food was perfect, but small portions and taste was just mediocre. The service was good (it’s not fine dining) and the ambiance was pretty cool- a nice upscale modern vibe. The bar area looked lively with people enjoying the discounted cocktails and appetizers. The four us left saying it was “ok” but underwhelmed with the cuisine. I would go back again to try it again but with different expectations.
Best dining food and experience in Pensacola, bar none!
Excellent food and a great night out. You can tell they take pride in their dishes.
I can’t say enough good about this experience at this restaurant my wife work with the executive chef Alex many years ago when they were both starting out in their field trip she a pastry chef and he has sous chef on when we found out he was the chef here we just simply had to try it and felt that it was incredible he was good back then according to her is food now then she knew he was going somewhere. The Gumbo was top notch even though we lived in New Orleans for ten years. She loved the chicken too.
Over priced for amount of food and not many choices on menu
Absolutely Fabulous- my new #1 !!!
Stopped here on my way back to Tallahassee from Dallas. We made a reservation on the app and were looking forward to trying this place out and seeing what it’s all about. We left with more questions then answers.
Why did it take nearly 10 minutes for a waiter to show up? Why was the meatball starter served on a big rectangular plate that made the three meatballs look particularly small and lonely? Why was the amuse bouche a tiny piece of fruit that tasted like a fizzy Gusher? How was the best thing I ate at the restaurant a plate of French fries covered in cheese and truffle oil? Where is the bread?
Why are there so many things in these shrimp and grits? Why is one of them almonds? Why is the pasta in my girlfriend’s dish some kind of beet pancake?
How on earth did this bill get to $120 with tip without either of us ordering alcohol? Why did this go cup of steaming hot coffee not have a lid?
Did we come on the wrong night? Order the wrong food? Expect the wrong thing? Reading these other reviews feels like I am in an alternate dimension with reverse taste buds.
It was my wife’s birthday as always we sit at the chefs counter food was outstanding
Restaurant Iron is by far the best restaurant in Pensacola ...we requested to sit at the chefs counter and enjoyed watching the final preparation and platings for everyone’s meal... it’s fun to see a work of art in progress ... Executive Chef, Alex and Sous Chef, Noah are extremely talented and together with their staff make for a memorable culinary experience.
On the road from New Orleans to Tallahassee, we found dinner at Iron a perfect way to break up the trip. The drinks and the food all show careful to detail and are healthy, to boot. The servings are large, so the sharing of dishes will work for those with normal appetites. We arrived during rush hour when the already nicely prices cocktails were even more reasonably priced.
Overall amazing. Very impressed by everything.
Absolutely amazing. Waiter was funny, attentive, and had great recommendations, food and drinks came out quick and were delicious, all together an amazing trip
We dine at Iron often. We miss the steak tartare. It’s one of the main reason we come to Iron! We were disappointed to not see it on the fall menu, but glad to still have the Nutella pie.
It’s always amazing! If you haven’t been there, go. The menu changes about every 4-6 weeks. The food is always delicious. It’s by far, the best restaurant in Pensacola.
Restaurant Iron is always amazing! One of the best restaurants in Pensacola
With each visit we think the last one can't be topped and then the staff and food prove us wrong. We shared a chicken skin cracklings - to die for. My husband loved the sugar glazed salmon and my duck schnitzel was over the top. The flavors and different textures in this dish were amazing. Couldn't agree on a dessert so we shared a bread pudding at the counter and took a Nutella pie home with us - both were excellent. We always sit at the counter and enjoy watching such a professional and obviously talented group of culinarians. Enjoy our conversation with them while they prepare a feast. Can't say enough about our server, Haiden. His knowledge of the menu items including ingredients and preparation are impressive. Always recommends the perfect cocktail or wine to compliment our dinner. We're hooked.
Great food, great drinks, great service! It is quite expensive so be prepared mentally for that. But the food was phenomenal. I had a Smoked Old Fashion and it was definitely one of the best ones I have had.
My wife and I love this place! Counter seating gives you a wonderful look into the kitchen and a sneak preview of all the menu items. By far the most refined and flavorful dishes in Pensacola and surpasses or rivals that of fine dining restaurants in larger cities.
