   We went to celebrate a birthday and from the time we entered until the time we left was great. We were greeted by the hostess with a happy birthday and then again by the server. The food was excellent - thoroughly enjoyed watching the chef line- those guys were impressive to watch cook and plate the food. Our server was the cutest thing- so attentive! We will go back for sure-

   The food was spectacular, the Iron Lyonnaise easily one of the best dinners I’ve had in my travels. I’d go back here in a flash, and the smoked old fashioned with bacon, yum!!

   Impeccable services, great ambiance and a wide selection of wines and cocktails. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Restaurant Iron will be a "Special occasion" choice for most, given the high cost of entrées, which ranged from about $35-90, in a surprisingly limited selection, with no daily special. We started with an heirloom tomato salad and pork belly mac-n-cheese, folllwed by a catch of day with lyonnaise potatoes and a salmon dish served with cauliflower puree and peas. Food presentation was nice. The pork belly mac was under seasoned, the salad was good. The salmon was slightly underdone and the puree was over salted. No real complaints about the catch of the day (Redfish), but both dishes were reminiscent of something you could get anywhere. After two glasses of wine and a scotch, the bill totaled $170. For those special occasion diners, I think many will leave disappointed at food quality to cost. To add to our experience, the couple seated next to us (too close) had issues when a $90 ribeye came out raw and had to be re-cooked, only to come out undercooked a second time. If you are looking for a place to eat in downtown Pensacola, it's tough to recommend Restaurant Iron, which averaged a weak 7 out of 10.

   There were no tables inside so we had to dine outside with a reservation. The street noise was really loud on a Friday night. The food was okay but the service was terrible. It took us over an hour to receive our food. Our waitress was sweet and apologized but the wait was not worth it.

    Husbands 50th birthday Everything was great Wonderful food!!!! And wine and service Atmosphere was a little lacking. No wow factor with the appearance of the restaurant

    Though we've been several times our last visit was an unmitigated disaster. The mgr recognized it and did her best to make it right 5 stars there). Not sure what happened (s l o w service, food took >an hour to get to table, apathetic waitress), most unusual. Kudo's to the manager and yes, we enjoy this place enough to try again.

    Restaurant is great.food as good as the best in New Orleans where I am from. The entrees as good as the small plates. (Sometimes places put all energy into appetizers — not here) We sat outside and that meant the sidewalk on a hot night this was ok but I assumed we were getting to be in a courtyard or similar space. Interior of restaurant was beautiful tho noisy. This is a place that does everything right the waiters were great too

    We enjoyed our evening at Restaurant Iron a lot! The only issue was the slowness of service of my husband’s after dinner drink and dessert. I think additional help at the bar may be needed. The restaurant comped the drink, which we appreciated.

    Our first return since moving back to Pensacola. Excellent as ever. Our meals were delicious. Craving the escargot. Great drinks. A special mention goes to Amber L. She was a standout. Made all of her guests feel special, and handled all issues with composure and grace.

    There were two of us celebrating a birthday dinner. The overall experience was wonderful, the staff took such good care of us and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and helpful. She even brought us a special after dinner beverage to try. The food however, was a bit of a disappointment. Both meals were a notch on the overdone side, and that is not good when one of the the entrees is fish. Our meals have been great on previous visits to this restaurant, so have to think it was just an off night for the kitchen.

    First and foremost, no dining experience is possible without a waitstaff. Our waitress was Amber and she proved to be 50% of our enjoyment of this establishment. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and always at our table at the perfect moment. She certainly enhanced our time spent dining here. Now of course the food. Chef McPhail once again has thoroughly impressed us with his artistic and creative culinary acumen. The food was absolutely phenomenal; perfect in every way. Thank you Chef, Thank you Amber, and Thank you Restaurant Iron!!

    We enjoyed our dinner at Iron! The fish and steak were delicious, as was the crawfish Mac and cheese! The French fries, broccolini, and shrimp were not cooked to my liking (i.e., they were overcooked). Service was impeccable. Overall, it was a lovely night. We look forward to returning.

    Had the lamb and it was wonderful. Little pricy but four double cut lamb cuts was enough for me and my wife to share. Waitress was wonderful and attentive. Nice Anniversary dinner, they treated us like royalty
